Not impressed. Expensive and in my opinion not worth it. You're better off at biscuits.

I can't even begin to tell you how unimpressed and disappointed I am. $55 for a salad, 2 small soups and sandwich and 2 drinks. My salad had browning avocados and was so full of green onions thats all you could taste. It was supposed to be chopped but was shredded like fast food restaurants. The turkey on the salad had a very strange flavor and I requested to substitute my salad dressing but that was not honored. My orzo soup was mushy and full of red peppers. It's usually a clear broth not creamy. The loaded potato soup as so thick the spoon would stand up in it. I'm guessing that at 6 pm the soups have been sitting all day? Now I'm left hungry and not wanting to spend more money to order another dinner. read more

We really liked the atmosphere in this place! Nice and clean. Fair prices for the area, we paid $7.99 for my eggs, pancakes (3) and bacon. We felt that each of our meals were the perfect portion size. We will go back. I look forward to trying the salads / lunch. The GM was super nice and very helpful. I don't even know why I tried! Maybe because it's the only one around? To be honest, they should just shut this location down. It's a teaser!! This is literally the 4th time I have been to this location and tried to order breakfast and they "don't have pancakes" or "the flat top is not working" or "we already turned the flat top off" (even though it's 7pm and they close at 8pm. Tonight I walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes listening to the two cooks talking about death and what happens to your body when you die. One cook looked dead at me TWICE and kept talking. Finally the other cook sees me and yells "hey, you have a customer!" Another employee finally greets me and I ask if they are still serving breakfast and she says "yes but we don't have pancakes!!" Do you EVER have pancakes?!?! This is my first time here. I just back from a trip and the way home my wife told me a story of how she met one of the employees on the bus on St. Patrick's Day. We decided to stop by the Streets of Tanasbourne for another restaurant so I can get a sandwich and they were closed, so we came over the bakery and lo and behold they have lovely sandwiches. I got the club Panini (no tomatoes for me) and it was completely delicious, as well as, the three desserts - we got the lemon hand twisted pie, the maple pecan bar and a toffee cookie. The staff was very friendly and the food came in a reasonable amount of time. Everything is prepped daily with no ingredients over 72 hours old. The baked goods are fresh daily. There's a good variety on the menu and they cater. Note: it's made fresh, not fast food! Love this place. The food is fantastic. I like the clean environment. It is also nice that you can get breakfast all day. The bakery items are so good, except for the chocolate muffin. I would go with the lemon loaf, bundt cake or the bottoms up mini cupcake. I usually order the turkey panini and ask for the bacon crispy. It is very good, but the size of the sandwich varies depending on the size of the bread. The service is good, but get used to being asked my multiple employees how you like your meal. read more

All of the vegetables in my egg scramble were raw. The bacon was also half way cooked even though I requested it to be cooked "hard"... This means crispy. While still sitting in the place I complained to the manager on duty. She frowned her face in agreement and apologized. However.... she didn't even offer a refund OR to have something else prepared for me. This says sooooo much about a restaurant. So much. I'll never return. I've gone to a couple of Corner Bakery's in California and here in Oregon, but this one on Emma Way has to be my favorite! Thanks to the experience I had... On Tuesday 02/09/2021 Karina greeted my spouse and I with a smile and gave us outstanding customer service. We've gone to many restaurants... and there hasn't been as many thoughtful employees like her... Didn't even have to ask her to put utensils on my to go order, napkins, etc. Also, the cook working with her that day was awesome! Don't know his name but he certainly made our Chicken Pomodori and our soups extra good. These two really make a good team. Extraordinary customer service from Karina and tasty food made by a great cook. I'm not one to really write reviews but they deserve to be recognized! Ohp, I almost forgot...Karina makes the best Truffle hot chocolates!!! Have her make you one and you'll love it. I used to LOVE their pesto cavatappi, until the last time I had it. There was barely any sauce, bacon instead of chicken, and hair in my pasta. Complete waste of money and I was quite sad with them. I will say- they're baked goods are delicious. I have had better. read more

Great location, fast service, clean and fun atmosphere. My confusion lies with they were out of a lot of the sweets...like chocolate chip cookies? Really? We placed our order to go and I should have checked before we left. My 7 year old ordered the mac and cheese and I think they forgot the cheese? It legit had so little on it that it couldn't be tasted. So I added more cheese and melted it myself. My 12 year old son ordered a sandwich (can't recall which one) but the meat was flavorless....he took a few bites and fed the rest to our dog. Worst salads ever if you are vegan or a vegetarian. I am a vegetarian and ordered salads twice from this place. Every time it has bits of chicken/ meat in it. It seems like they don't pay attention to the customer order and put chicken in the salad and then remove it before serving it to the customer. It's really gross to have chicken pieces in your mouth while having your salad. I am disgusted! read more

Brandy is very rude. I have spoken with her on the phone a couple of different times, and today was the worst. She is very curt and just downright rude. Brandy is clearly in the wrong line of work. The food itself was good we had a salad a panini and a sandwich. The food was better than average and the prices were pretty comparable. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the place was filthy. Almost all tables has crap on them and the floors were full of food or trash. I don't know if we had just missed the rush hour but even then I don't think it's acceptable to have the restaurant look so filthy. Extremely small portions with breakfast orders at this location. I usually love to order the pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon at my home, Arizona franchises in Tempe & Scottsdale At the Oregon location, same breakfast was served with half the amount of scrambled eggs (even syrup were half-filled for what I was told is "portion control"). I ordered another side of eggs (was to be 3 for an additional $3.59) and came out looking like 1 1/2 eggs. Even the server commented and he tried to ask the kitchen for more eggs but he was refused. Corner Bakery locations are quite plentiful in the OC, but sparse in the Seattle area. For this reason, I haven't been to one in a year. I was in the area, so I was happy to finally eat here. I was not disappointed. First off, huge shoutout to the guy who took my order yesterday morning. It was about 8 AM and he was totally chipper, even attempted to make my grumpy baby smile. I would've expected equally grumpy workers behind the counter. So, my visit was off to a good start. Next, I ordered my go-to: Anaheim Scrambler. It's scrambled eggs with tomato, green onions and topped with a slice of avocado. I wasn't sure if that was a regional item or not, so I was happy to see it in the PNW. When my order came out, the first thing that caught my eye was the size. When it's 24 degrees outside, a hearty-sized meal is appreciated. And that's exactly what I got. I could barely see any plate. Compare this to the OC locations (looking specifically at you, SCP: You would have to whip out your magnifying glass or resurrect the Wendy's "Where's the beef?" lady. But with all that sun and trying to stay stick thin, I guess the portion is a regional thing. The best part, though, was the amount of avocado. There was a decent-sized slice topping my eggs. But what made it better was that there were chunks IN my eggs. Kudos to the chef! You know the way into this ex-Cali girl's heart! In the OC, you'd be lucky if your slice of avocado wasn't see-through. They skimp on the avocado so much. The toast and potatoes were kinda room temperature, but the eggs were warm. And the coffee was pretty good. Waaaay better than Panera's. Overall, though, great experience! I won't be back to Tukwila until I get an 85c hankering, though. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever had. We waited 20 minutes for two americanos and by the time we got them they were somehow room temperature? I waited in line and politely said our americanos were cold and they rolled their eyes and said "ok" and took them from me with no explanation. So... are you remaking them or...? This is a fair place to go if you want a coffee and something to eat, but don't know exactly what you want. They have soup, salad, sandwiches, and sweets. The coffee is your typical cafe fare, without any surprises. The soup is warmed up canned stuff and the sandwiches aren't anything to write about. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is pleasant enough, but don't rattle them with special requests. The Bakery portion is also not notable, but tastes okay. However I walked in Sunday around 4:30 just to purchase a few cookies perhaps and with the exception of one other customer at the register who complained to the counter guy about how badly he has been treated during his work history, I was the only customer. I stood there close to 5 minutes while the guy who works the kitchen also came out, and both looked at me with a glance or 2 and did not acknowledge me. Not even a " we will be right with you" or anything. I turned around and walked out. I guess these guys feel business is so good they can afford to treat people like this. My sister is not a breakfast person but she ate all and I mean all of her four stack pancake plate. There wasn't a single bite left. Opening day! I was on my way to lunch at one of my usual sandwich and salad spots nearby when I realized that this place had opened. I popped in just before 1pm. They were quite busy but they had certainly staffed for it. A gentleman (manager type?) greeted me at the door and handed me a menu to peruse while I waited in line. The line was long but moved quickly. I ordered a salad and sandwich combo that was priced at less than $10 (which is what I'm used to at the other place), I also added a lemon bar and my total was under $13. I sat down and my food came out quickly, I think I overhead the gentleman at the door say their goal was to get food to your table within 4 minutes of ordering. The Caesar salad was well sized and fresh. The lettuce was crisp, the croutons were crunchy and crumbly and the dressing was just the right amount and very tasty. Corner bakery definitely beats my usual salad/sandwich place on the Caesar. The Uptown Turkey sandwich was good even though they used deli meat. It didn't beat my usual sandwich a the other place though, The bacon was crispy and fresh, the avocado was creamy and ripe, and the wheat bread had a nice flavor to it. Lunch also came with chips, which you can sub out for other items, and a pickle. I think at least 5 different people checked on me. I imagine that will calm down some after the first day jitters are over. One employee came by with samples of their breakfast oatmeal. I thought that was a great idea! They had the chance to take my business from Starbucks where I usually get my oatmeal. Sadly though, I didn't like it. It was too....milky? I think she said they use yogurt in it, and the oatmeal itself didn't feel cooked, it just felt soggy. That idea backfired, at least for me. Their breakfast sandwich options sound good though so I will still give them a try them for breakfast. My lemon bar was pretty good too. Their bakery case seemed to have a lot of different options, so I look forward to trying all of the other goodies soon. P.S. So this was an interesting visit this morning. The food was great! Banana muffin was the best pastry I've ever had hands down. Atmosphere was similar to Panera but certainly a cut above in quality. Young lady that brought out our food was bubbly and even funny which would have made this a 5 star visit but...... After finishing my breakfast and going to refill my coffee I saw our waitress sitting at a table with what appeared to be a manager. This person of authority was in a few words tearing this young lady apart. So much so she was crying with tears running down her face. In the middle of the restaurant that was packed with customers. How humiliating and absolutely inappropriate! It took all of my strength not to interrupt and make a scene but this will probably have a bigger impact at least on the restaurant. I will also be sending my complaint above and beyond. No matter what this employee may have done, the manager behavior was disgusting and completely out of line. It was apparent that this was a formal discussion as the had her notebook and the poor girl was begging for her job. If you are ever in the restaurant and see the redhead manager with shorterish hair, stay out of her way I suppose is best. But, the food is great at least. I don't know why but my 2 visits have only been to grab dessert after lunch. I have yet to do lunch here, although I plan to. At first glance, this Cafe looks like a Panera - type with sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. And although I have enjoyed Panera from time to time, I am currently addicted to the PB whoopee pie from Corner. I have also tried their maple pecan bar and was convinced by the kind sales lady to get the cinnamon pecan rugalach. Ok, not too much convincing was necessary. So far so good. FINALLY... the wait is over! :) I've driven anxiously past the street corner many times looking for any indication of when this place would open. With no indication of a grand opening, it was to my surprise that TODAY was the day!! I do wish I knew though, especially after one of the managers informed me that the first 100 customers received FREE coffee for a year!! I would have been the first one in line this morning! :P Nonetheless, the wait is finally over and I can frequent this place as I once did. My love affair with Corner Bakery started many years ago in Washington DC, at the location off 14th and K NW. I often spent many lunch breaks eating chopped salad and gazing out the window onto the bustling McPherson Square. Ever since I moved away, there's been a void, only to be filled by my adventures to Cali just to get my fix of chopped salad and that sinfully rich chocolate bundt cake. My thoughts on the expansion of Corner Bakery to the PNW, you ask? Well...It's about time!! I've been here for almost two years now I've had to settle with Panera Bread far too many times. I can finally spend my lazy Sunday mornings eating my Anaheim Scramble and sipping on hot coffee. I was ambitious today and ate here TWICE! I brought my colleagues for lunch and introduced them to Corner Bakery and then returned for dinner with my boyfriend who has also been anxiously waiting for the grand opening! I ordered the "Choose Any Two" and got the Chicken Pomodori with the Chopped Salad for dinner. Must admit, I wasn't too impressed with the panini. It was a little overkill on the pesto mayo and perhaps a little too overcooked. BUT it's day ONE so I'm more than willing to let it go. The only other complaint is that the salads taste better when they are pre-tossed. Sure it looks pretty, but I prefer it when my order comes to my table made with love. This is the first CB I've been to where the salad comes on the side. Overall, so excited that Corner Bakery has made it's way to the NW. I know I'll be there often. If I may put in my last two cents, they MAY want to do a better job marketing ... especially since you're opening in a completely new market. Let everyone know who you are!! You'd be surprised how many people have NEVER been to a CB. P.S. An outdoor seating area would be the perfect addition. :) read more
