It was VERY awkward and uncomfortable. Then I wised up, looked online and found East Bay Furniture & Appliance Warehouse. Based on their great reviews, I made the 45 minute drive to visit these guys and I am very pleased I did. I needed a ton of furniture as well as a washer, dryer and refrigerator. Joe welcomed me into the store and we got straight down to business after some welcoming words. He made it clear he wanted to get me what I needed and not what HE needed / wanted to sale. He was not pushy, did not pester me and only answered my questions. At a very fair price, I ordered quite a few things from him. Then I had the pleasure of having Rizwaan and Aryan not only deliver, but assemble all of my furniture and install my appliances. These gentlemen were extremely polite, respectful, hard working and courteous. As it turned out, I failed to mention I didn't have box springs for my new bed and instead making me sleep on the floor on the first night of being at my new home, they went and did their other deliveries, went back to the warehouse and brought me box springs at about 10:00 p.m. that night. Wait, who does that?!?! These guys do and is why as long as I am living in the area, they have a customer for life. Do yourself a favor and give East Bay Furniture & Appliance Warehouse a chance. He actually cared and provided that human touch. He didn't have to do that. I purchased an 11-year old Kenmore Elite fridge for $400 from this place less than 3 months ago. I…read morefelt assured that they offered a 3 month warranty and the fridge looked clean and nice. I thought refrigerators last a long time so 11 years isn't too old. First problem: Soon after we received it, there was water all over the floor. We had trouble contacting them. My husband called and texted our address to them, then we heard nothing for over a week. I called and finally got someone to come over to "fix" the problem. After they "fixed" the problem, it happened again. So, the problem was not fixed. Second and final problem: There was a power outage last weekend. First thing we noticed was the fudge bars weren't as frozen as they normally were the next day. The day after that, water everywhere. Then we realized the fridge and freezer were't cooling although everything was on and the digital displays said they were at the correct temps, but they weren't. So, I call this company, but no answer. I text, and told them about this and the power outage. They don't call back. Sometimes they return text messages. That evening, I snooped around the back and found that the relay device was melted on one side and rattled when I removed it and shook it, meaning it was fried and needed to be replaced. Also, the condenser was super hot to the touch. The next day, the repair man, Alejandro, came late. They said someone would come "after 4" and he didn't come until nearly 6 P.M. We called and texted to find out when someone would show up, but no communication. He said the relay needed to be replaced, and that when he put a new one on, the fridge still didn't work, so the compressor is bad. He told us the power outage caused this and it's not their fault so they won't cover the repair. They cannot prove that!! It could have just been a coincidence. He admitted to me they had put a new condenser into this unit before selling it. I spoke to a professional repair man, and he said that putting a new condenser on a fridge is very difficult and can allow contamination to get into the gas lines and is generally not done even by professionals, and if it IS done, the fridge won't last that long after doing so. So, Alejandro offers to buy a new compressor and charge us $250 to install it. He said I should contact PG&E and submit a claim to get them to reimburse me for my expenses since this problem was caused by the power outage, but in the mean time all my food is going bad and I'm stuck without a working fridge!!! Resolution: I took the $400 loss, did not give this company or their "repair men" any more money, and bought a new fridge which just arrived today. Moral of the story: Don't trust the products you buy from this company and don't feel reassured by their 3 month warranty. Good luck if you do decide to buy something here.

A refurbished project should not only fix the interior features, and after speaking with the owner Jacey she agreed that they would have someone come to sand the rust out. Well of course that appointment was a no call/ no show. If the owner can't even honor an appointment, I understand why I had horrible customer service from an employee. For that reason I will just take the lost and work on this rust project myself but PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Kitchen remodelling is one of the most intricate and very detailed oriented task to tackle. It is…read morethe heart of the house. Being said and before you decide to do kitchen remodelling, make sure you have the time to work closely with your contractor! I worked closely with KF from the design to execution throughout the completion of the project. Let me share my experience with KF in details. Working with their sales rep was a smooth process. We worked with Dean through the selection of cabinets, floors, countertops, sink and faucet. Then here comes the selection of appliances. We shopped around and selected the appliances we will put in our kitchen and then gave the details to KF to incorporate it into the layout of the kitchen. A layout and a 3D model was made for review to visually see how the new layout of the kitchen will look like. This is where the critical part of the work needing your attention. Make sure to check the clearances provided for the appliances are all correct. The designer did not check the size of stove we will use. Mistake was made to our layout. We didn't catch the mistake as well and drawings got released for final approval. Then the execution, demolition to our kitchen took place as scheduled. 2 guys came in to remove all the old cabinets, countertops and appliances. It was a 3 day process to demolish and clear the debris. Prepare the walls for new construction. The electrical work. One electrician started to put new outlets and upgrade our electrical sub panel. This is where it got tricky because the new location of our panel is still part of the walk-in closet. The city inspector pointed out it is against the building code to relocate an electrical panel from a closet to a walk-in closet. The good thing was I was able to divide the walk-in closet into two rooms. I contructed a wall to divide this room into a storage where the new electrical panel is located and a separate walk-in closet. I did this work myself because it was not part of the contract. It will be an additional cost if I have KF do this work! The intallation of the cabinets! This is where we discovered the layout was incorrect. The clearance made for the stove is 36 inches, we ordered 30 inches stove. The location of the cabinet for the garbage was wrong too. KF ended up replacing 5 cabinets at their own expense to correct the layout. Make sure that during this process you check every position and clearances for your appliances are correct. This your final check before countertop measurement! The measurement of countertops and backsplash. A guy came in to make a template for the countertop and backsplash for fabrication. The process is to measure and install countertop first and then measure and install the backsplash. Make sure to check the level and squareness of the backsplash and countertop. I checked the backsplash and it was out of square. I have them corrected it on the spot! This is a very critical process and very expensive to correct if installed incorrectly. The installation of new flooring. I picked LVF to replace our carpet and hardwood. There is only one type of floor we use for the entire house. This went very smoothly and efficient. The worker even show up on Saturday to do the work. He knows how inconvenient for the owner is to move things around to clear the areas to install new flooring. Kudos to this worker who did our floor. The installation of appliances. It went smoothly except the anti tipping bracket of the stove was not properly place to capture one foot of the range. I went back and forth with the installer to correct it but I ended up correcting it myself to get approval from the city. The final touches. Ensure you are there and inspect every square inch of the cabinets and walls. You have to point out to the workers to put caulking on every holes you see. KF workers were not very thorough on their final touches. The final inspection. This is where the city will come in to inspect the electrical work, the wall I constructed, the undersink cabinets and do some testing on new circuits of the kitchen. Check and check their work. If you are not satisfied with their work. Make them correct it. This is your only time to tell them to correct things you are not satisfied. For example I have them replaced the valve of the faucet where one of the hoses has tight bend. Check fittings for leaks. This is very important! As I elaborated above, KF has the means to do the work. The coordination with their project manager was not very proactive. You need to make many follow ups to get the work done. Some days have no work activities. A couple of days they worked upto 8 in the evening! Overall I am happy with the result of their work but I also spent many hours to work with them. At the end of the day, it is you who will live in the house and it's your kitchen! When it comes to cost and the hours I spent working with them, the overall cost of this project was expensive.

I am extremely disappointed with the after-sales service I received from San Jose Appliance Store…read moreand intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. When my old oven stopped heating, I decided to replace it rather than repair it. I found San Jose Appliance Store through Craigslist, contacted Anthony, and arranged delivery of a used oven. The oven was delivered promptly, and my old oven was hauled away for an additional fee. Unfortunately, after installation, I discovered that the front burner would not ignite properly. When it did light, it often released gas into the kitchen first, creating what I believed to be a serious safety concern. To the company's credit, they sent a technician to inspect the stove. The technician was courteous, but the repair was unsuccessful. During the visit, brake cleaner was sprayed inside my kitchen, leaving strong fumes throughout the house. My wife and son both complained about the odor, and my son later developed a headache. A few days later, another repair attempt was made when a replacement part was brought to my home unannounced. Unfortunately, it was the wrong part. I then contacted GE directly and discovered that the serial number listed in the advertisement was incorrect. Once the correct information was identified, I learned the stove was also missing two racks and required a replacement handle. I ultimately spent about $150 replacing those items. I was also unable to obtain a proper invoice because I was mistakenly given another customer's paperwork. When I raised these concerns, I was told the stove had been sold "as is" despite the advertised 30-day warranty. I was also told the missing parts and defective burner were merely cosmetic issues and accused of "trying to demand money." To be clear, I never demanded money. I simply asked the company to provide the correct replacement part so the stove could be repaired safely and function as represented. That request was never fulfilled. Anthony briefly suggested a trade-in arrangement, but multiple messages later indicated that no exchange would take place. The only remaining option offered was another repair attempt, by which point I had lost confidence in the process. Adding to my frustration, I later discovered that the oven I paid to have hauled away was being advertised for resale on the company's website. At this point, I have purchased the necessary burner part myself and will hire a qualified technician to complete the repair. This has been an expensive lesson. I was not seeking a refund, discount, or special treatment. I simply wanted an oven that worked safely and a company that stood behind its warranty. Update: In response to the owner's reply, I would like to clarify a few points. My concerns remain unchanged. The oven was sold with a faulty burner, and despite two repair attempts, the issue was never resolved. I also did not "demand" money. I initially proposed a simple solution: that the business owner obtain the correct replacement part and ship it to me, which would have eliminated the need for any refund. When no effective resolution was provided, I purchased the correct part myself. This was not merely a cosmetic matter. The issue involved a burner that failed to ignite properly and allowed gas to accumulate before lighting, which I considered a legitimate safety concern. At this point, I no longer expect this business to honor its warranty when doing so is inconvenient or costly. My review is based solely on my personal experience. I encourage prospective customers to consider all available information, including both the owner's response and customer reviews, and make their own informed decision.
