I read the towel story from another member but the towel is not placed on people's back but rather the instructor creates a breeze with the towel which is like a treat after one sweated over the workout. I also never had an instructor wipe my forehead with the towel, or touch my body. The studio cares a great deal about the sanitary conditions, particularly when they clean the floors with a strong cleaner between each class. As far as the 5-10 minute late window is concern, I learned to be punctual. 5-10 minutes really is more like 8-13 minutes because we have to set out mat and grab our weights, blocks, strap or whatever we need for the class. They also have a class wait list, adopting a 5-10 late window can seriously affect the schedules of other members. As far as the classes being warm, there is a strong reason for it. There is a description for every class. Otherwise, upon arrival one can ask the instructor the particulars of the class, including temperature. I love many of the instructors here, including very skilled and very friendly; Michaela. None of the instructors teach for the money. You will find that many of the instructors are dentist, attorneys and other professionals who love to share their talent and love being part of the community. I signed up for a CoreRestore which is a restorative yoga class... but I wish they labeled it clearly that it was would be a WARM YOGA version of a restorative class. I don't like hot yoga, but I will try to refrain those sentiments to give this studio a fair assessment. This location of CorePower Yoga is located at the Marketplace, in the same plaza as Home Depot, Nordstrom Rack, and Boot Barn. There is plenty of parking in this retail plaza. Upon entering the studio, there was a cute waiting area with a fire place, merchandise for purchase, and a front desk. I came early since it was my first time at this studio, but I was surprised when I was told there was no waiver. I was shown to my studio space, but pretty much left on my own to explore the rest of the studio. They have 2 studio spaces that both look large. There are also male and female lockers areas with lockers, bathrooms, and showers. For the CoreRestore class, there were battery-powered candles throughout the studio space. We were instructed to grab 4-5 blocks and settle in at a spot by the wall for the legs up the wall poses. The class was pretty full. Unfortunately there was a person near me that was sniffling and coughing which made me even more germ concerned since we were trapped in this steamed room together. I liked that Elizabeth asked the class if we had any areas we need extra focus on. There were those who mentioned shoulders and back so those areas got extra loving. I enjoyed the opening poses and I feel mostly restful. Elizabeth was really nice and encouraged the class to do what we are comfortable with. At times there were some descriptions that were hard to follow, especially since the room is dark, but she would come around and guide us if we needed help. Class pricing is on the pricier side, since I did use more credits for this class compared to similar classes at another studio. I checked their pricing and confirmed that it was also more than other studios if I came without classpass. Great for those who enjoy hot yoga work outs, but I don't find it relaxing. I dislike stinky classmates sweating, potential for cardiovascular strain, and increased injury risk from over stretching that comes with hot yoga. read more

The Best Sculpt Instructors! LOVE this Corepower location! I absolutely love taking sculpt classes at this location especially at 9:30 am. The workouts are so well-structured -- challenging in the best way, with use of weights that make you feel strong and accomplished every time. They push you without ever feeling overwhelmed and their energy is truly unmatched. I've been coming to this location for the past few years, and last year it truly helped me both physically and mentally throughout my 3rd pregnancy. Now I'm 6 months postpartum, and it's been rough getting my body to feel "normal" again -- but their classes have been a total game changer. They make me feel strong, capable, and proud of my progress every time I do show up. And the music... always a vibe! Their playlists hit perfectly every class and make the workout motivating and fun. You can tell they put real thought into creating an amazing experience. My two favorite yoga instructors here are Nora and Nicolette -- they complete the experience with their calming, supportive teaching styles. Truly such a great team all around. This is the nicest, most luxurious CPY studio that I have been to. The front reception area is large, with a fireplace in a living room for sitting; spacious retail space, and GIANT women's locker room. The area is so large that you have lots of space w/o interfering in some else's space, and many of the lockers are two to a column, instead of only three to a column. It had 4 restroom stalls/rooms and 5 showers. I love the spaciousness!! I also appreciate the class at 8pm, to which the instructor had a colored light in the back which very much changed the mood (on a Sun night). I would definitely recommend this location. It is in a large mall that is facing the parking lot (also huge) that is easy to find since it is visible. read more

I love Corepower Yoga. There is something for everyone here. From the CorePower level 1 class, to 1.5, to 2 and more. My favorite hands down though is the yoga sculpt class. The high energy and incorporation of cardio and weights makes you sweat like no other. I love it! All the instructors I have had are great. I have never had a bad instructor. I've been coming to CorePower Yoga Tustin for about two months now, and it's been an awesome experience. The studio is very clean, the staff is super welcoming and seem to know everyone by name, and the instructors bring great energy to every class. Their encouragement and commitment to high-quality instruction inspired me to take the leap and enroll in the Yoga Sculpt teacher training program. While this feels way out of my comfort zone, I'm excited to deepen my practice and connect with the community even more! As a seasoned triathlete, I've tried just about every fitness class out there, but Yoga Sculpt has become my go-to outside of swim, bike, and run. It's my ideal blend of cardio, strength training, stretching, and mindfulness, all packed into one workout in a heated room. As business owner and franchise owner this is coming from concern and dissatisfaction. This is Orange County, traffic is NEVER predictable. For a yoga studio charging (plenty) and refuse to be understanding about traffic is absolutely insane!! I and many others last night had to park 2 lots away from the entrance JUST to park and then cross traffic to given get to class and to be denied for being 5 minutes late. *Maybe the Tustin/Irvine Planning Department should be aware of your business operation,as it's cannot accommodate Sufficient parking for the business. CORE YOGA seems to be in possibly the wrong building zoning area for your business type and traffic flow your business involves! I'm sure the Irvine company would NOT be pleased either( liability)as your customers have to cross on coming traffic to get to your Yoga facility. ***For what you charge your clients your staff and establishment should be most accommodating to your clients, otherwise you will lose them all,just by being difficult and unreasonable. With insufficient parking! *****The zoning department and Irvine Company should also be aware that you are not meant to occupy a place that can't accommodate your clients to park!! Very unsanitary. The instructor would put a towel on someone's back, leave it for a few minutes and then take it off and put the same sweaty towel on someone else's back... and repeated this process with the same towel multiple times throughout the class. It was 100+ degrees in the room and very sweaty. I was unaware he had been putting it on other people when it came to me and wiped my forehead with the towel. My partner and I took advantage of CorePower's free first two weeks of membership for new members. Their membership is monthly and includes unlimited yoga classes at any studio (there are MANY locations all over the US), as well as their On Demand classes on the Corepower Yoga app if you want to work out at home. We are more than halfway into the free two weeks, and these are the classes I have tried so far: Yoga Sculpt (YS)- This class is definitely for those who want something more out of their yoga class than the typical vinyasa flow! Weights are used throughout class (we had a choice of 3-15 lb dumbbells) and there is a cardio section that often includes mountain climbers, burpees, and/or jumping jacks. The class is heated and the music is upbeat. The first time we went to YS was on "Festival Friday" - on that day, each of their YS classes was music festival themed, and we attended the Life is Beautiful class. The music was awesome, and they had a cute picture backdrop out front, along with temporary tattoos, kandi, and some CorePower swag. They really went all out! We had such a blast that day, and I hope they continue to throw fun events like this!! Made me miss my music festival days! C2- This was more of a true yoga class to me, with the addition of heat. Their C1 class is their more introductory level class without any added heat, and this class is more challenging than that. I thought it was even hotter than YS, with a fairly fast flow and some difficult poses, like crow and inversions. I needed some modifications for the harder poses, but I like that this class inspires me to at least attempt to go further with my practice. Hot Power Fusion- This class was intense just from the heat alone - I believe it is the hottest of all the CorePower classes. Even though the flow is slower than C2 and YS, you are holding poses for what seems to be an obscene amount of time simply because of the heat. I honestly burned just as many calories during this class as I did for YS! I was dripping in sweat. Core Restore- This is their version of yin yoga, so it is very meditative and calming, focused on holding feel-good stretchy poses like the supine twist and half pigeon. They also encourage you to use blocks, which really help to deepen the postures. This class was on a Sunday evening at this location, and I thought it was a great way to mentally prepare for the week ahead. This was the only non-heated class I tried during the two free weeks. Overall, I really enjoyed CorePower's classes and I will be continuing with the membership for the first month. My only criticism, like other reviewers, is that they do not seem to limit the amount of attendees per class. Many classes are extremely crowded to the point that you cannot find a spot or you cannot get the equipment you need, and of course COVID protocol is out the window... so attend at your own risk! read more

Absolutely poor yoga classes. The instructors doesnt seem well experienced and have no idea what they are doing. Totally disregards the pace of the class and just does their own thing. I've tried different instructors and they're also not great. You can tell that their classes aren't favorable by the small amount of students in the class. My husband and I also received poor customer service from corporate core power as well. We froze our accounts because we would be out of town for awhile. Apparently, Corepower can automatically unfreeze your account without telling you and will attempt to charge your credit card for the next monthly membership amount eventhough we never unfroze our account. They will refuse to give you credit for the month that you paid even though you havent even taken any classes. They just seem money hungry and don't care about their customers satisfaction. Plenty of other hot yoga places around, take your money somewhere else that actually cares. read more

I frequently go to the corepower in Huntington Beach and Woodbridge and wanted to try a new location and found myself here. Lots of parking at the Tustin location which is great. Is your version of intense stretching so overwhelming that no one can be bothered to allow late entry? Is there an element of danger undisclosed to your practitioners? I attend classes at the studio two and half years ago for two months. During that time, I lost my Lululemon padding, which was in the locker. The staff couldn't help me because they said privacy rules prevented them from checking the security cameras. Since then, I've been concerned about theft and haven't returned the studio. read more

This is by far the dirtiest studio I have ever been to. Each time I come here I regret it. During the entirety of the C2 class I was shooing dust bunnies and random chunks of stuff away from my mat. The mirrors are also so dirty and the studio didn't even have sanitizing wipes for the blocks, so naturally no one in class sanitized their block after using it. I told the instructor after class and he seemed entirely unphased. Too bad because they have otherwise good instructors. Definitely not going back. read more

I tried core yoga as my free week to see if I like the class, format and the instructor. The first class was great which was a yoga sculpt. U With the hope that I will have the same experience on my second class, it was a sad experience. The class was scheduled at 4.00 pm and I arrived around 4.10 pm which was a delay on my side. I expected to quietly squeeze in the room and put the my mat down and join the session. To my surprise or lack of knowledge, they closed the front door and it was locked and no one was present at the front desk to open it. The instructor noticed me since I knocked on another door but did not care to open it. I waited for next 20 mins. After that someone came down and mentioned that this was their safety policy. Regardless it wasted my hour that I only had in between work, kids and other commitments. I do wish they should make the schedule slightly flexible to accommodate people who are delayed or should someone at the front desk to answer people's questions/concerns. read more

The studio rooms are big and the instructors are great. An area of improvement is the women bathroom's cleanliness. During the past few visits, toilet paper was running low, the the locker room floors are dirty, the bathroom counters could be cleaned, etc. There are many students and the restroom has high traffic. Her playlist bumps alongside her creative workouts that just flow. Be warned - her class is very intense, but I feel so so incredibly accomplished afterwards. Absolute scam. I signed up for a few classes a year ago and they assured me you could cancel before they started charging a monthly charge. So I cancelled and guess what my husband just noticed? They randomly started charging me monthly 3 months ago!! And they are also claiming on their website that I attended "livestream" classes that I never did!! Like wtf! I've never done a livestream class, I don't even know how to do that. They put that I attended 11 of them on random dates! Gracia was at the front desk and didn't acknowledge me when I walked in and instead talked to another student while I waited patiently, and then was not admitted for being a few minutes late. Love corepower yoga! I had first tried corepower yoga about two years ago by using their free unlimited one week trial pass. I tried multiple of classes while having the free pass and fell in love with corepower sculpt. Corepower sculpt has helped my body tone and has given me strength. I love this studio and usually practice here however, I've started to notice that the studio isn't as clean as it use to be when I first started. Not sure if they just are not cleaning the studio as well as before. Highly recommend core power sculpt if you have a hard time relaxing on your own like me. Corepower has the most locations of any hot yoga studio in OC. This location is in the Tustin Market Place. It is next to the REI, Party City, and F21. There is plenty of parking right in front of the studio. If you are near Irvine, Corepower is extremely convenient. They have so many studios in OC, so there is always a time and location that will suit your schedule. The classes right after work are usually quite full. Try to arrive early to secure a spot. Sculpt is the best class that Corepower offers in my option because I like a really good workout. This class is not as hot as the other classes, but they incorporate cardio and weights into the class. Hot fusion is my second favorite. This class gets realllly hot. They focus more on poses in the HOT room. Yoga 2 is more relaxing and an okay workout. HAPPY WORKING IT!! read more

I am totally in love with this place. After going for 3 weeks (about 3-4 times a week), yoga has been such a good stress reliever in my life!!! Initially, I've heard about CPY but never would I thought I would be doing yoga. I've taken some yoga classes at 24 hour fitness and it just never seemed to interest me. I bought a livingsocial deal for CPY for about $75 for unlimited classes for a month. Not know that they give you a week for free, the incorporated that week within my month so I had 5 weeks of unlimited classes. They say take C2 first before taking sculpting but I wanted to dive right in because a workout that includes weights is something I think that is very challenging. I've taken about 8 classes already within 3 weeks and I have had different instructors every time. Everyone has their own unique way of teaching and the routine is always changing. You get to connect with your mat and leave all your stress outside. The 60 minutes that you have with your mat, your instructor, yourself is someone magical. After a day of teaching students, I look forward to coming here and distressing myself. I love the sculpting class because it includes yoga, weights, and cardio. The instructors are all awesome and modify things for you if you need it. They are encouraging and you can definitely see they take pride in what they do. They encourage you to do your best and that is all that matters. The facility is well kept. There are lockers available, private showers, and bathrooms. I love how they put out spray deodorant, mouth wash, and hair ties (in the front). Come to CYP and it'll change your life!! It changed mine within a few days. CorePower is a corporate yoga chain. Very structured and they offer various classes From CorePower 1 (beginner/intro poses), CorePower 2 (step up from the 1 which is a lil faster pace with more challenging poses), Hot Power Fusion (combo of hot yoga and power yoga), yoga sculpt (think of barre class with yoga transitions and guidance). I like the variety of the classes. Each instructor has its own flare to offer. I only wish that they change up their schedule around. For example the 530 class will always be the same daily so if that's your go to "gym time" you will only have that one choice of class to choose from. Overall the classes are all wonderful. Something for everyone. The studio is nice and clean. But be warned that they don't have a prebooking option prior to class so classes can be fully packed at times. And you'll be side by side with one another. And here at CorePower yoga all their classes are somewhat heated so you'll for sure be sweating around each other. I love the classes, specifically, yoga sculpt and the instructors are amazing. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is that the classes are extremely packed and it feels very cramped. Because the classes are so packed you can feel other people's sweat on you and the floor is covered in sweat. It's hard to focus on my workout when I am concerned about someone else's sweat getting on me. read more
