I've been taking lagree for a while now, and I thought this studio was very welcoming, clean, and organized. easy check in process. someone is at the front desk to greet you and check you in. my instructor was Peaches! She was great. very friendly, welcoming, and I felt like I could do all of the movements! she switched it up from a lot of the instructors I have. Did a lot of new moves I've never done in lagree before. I appreciate the new routine. having no mirrors in the studio wasn't that bad! read more

Tried a new/different pilates studio on classpass! Located in a business/corporate looking plaza but the studio is in one of the suites. The workout was good/challenging and you can take everything at your own pace. The class was relatively chill/calm. The room was well air conditioned and they have a nice and spacious bathroom as well as a water refill station and drink bar for other beverages of purchase. On my first class, my instructor gave me a packet of electrolytes which was so sweet. The class is pretty small with about 10 machines. read more

I'm officially 10 classes in at The Dungeon as of today, and I can honestly say this place has been a huge change for my physical and mental health. I've tried a lot of different fitness classes everywhere and was starting to get bored with my routine. This was my first Lagree studio, and it's officially the one thing I look forward to. The Irvine studio is located in the Sky Park area, and there's plenty of parking in the lot. I'd just recommend getting there a little early the first time so you have time to find the unit. Also get there early if it's your first class so the instructor can show you the Megaformer and how the machine works, which helps a lot before class starts. I used to be so intimidated by the machine, but the instructors really help you learn the ins and outs. The space itself is very clean, and I like that instructors hand out wipes so everyone can wipe down their Megaformer after class. I believe this location opened last year, so they don't have the VersaClimber yet, but maybe that will come in the future. They also have a lot of convenient class times, especially midday, which I appreciate. I'd personally love to see 12:00 PM classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays added. What I didn't expect about Lagree is how mentally challenging it is. At first I was confused why there were no mirrors in their studio, but now I understand it's intentional so you focus more on the mind-body connection. When I'm in class I'm honestly so focused on my form and not falling off the machine (lol) that everything else kind of fades away. It's one of the workouts I do where I feel like my brain completely shuts off from everything else. All of the instructors have been welcoming! Sana and Jolene have been my favorites so far. The only thing I'd mention is that while the classes say "all levels welcome", it might help to have a Level 1 vs Level 2 option at certain times. When I first started, a beginner-paced class would have helped me understand the movements and positions a little more. Now that I've been going consistently, I can keep up much better. Overall, Lagree is one of the hardest workouts I've ever done, and you leave with that "feel good" soreness for days that has you craving to come back for more. It's also a really judgment-free environment where everyone is just focused on getting through the workout. Whether it's your first class or your 100th, it's always a challenge to tackle and absolutely rewarding. Safe to say I'm officially obsessed with Lagree now because of The Dungeon. read more

This location doesn't have VersaClimber, but The Dungeon in Irvine is so much closer, so I've been dropping in for Megaformer classes when I can and I love it here! The studio is clean, the vibes are great, and all the instructors I've had so far are solid, and friendly. That said....my absolute favorite so far is Jolene. I've only taken her class once, but wow, she's so good! I could actually hear everything she said clearly, and her directions and demonstrations were super easy to follow. No second guessing what move I should doing. Her flow and transitions were so smooth too. Plus, her playlist was fire!! Can't wait to take more of her classes. I really enjoy this studio's attention to detail, form, cueing, anatomy, and being kind to your body (offering many modifications). When I first started going, I was just trying to make it through class without shaking so much (the shakes are good). I eventually was able to tune into some of the anatomy cues so that my form and ab engagement improved. It provides that sense of accomplishment and euphoria with each class. I wanted to try something other than the gym as I felt I was losing motivation to go, so I decided to get class pass. This was the first place I signed up for as someone who wanted to be a bit more challenged beyond yoga. While also trying other studios in OC and mixing Pilates and Lagree, I noticed that I always enjoyed the experience I had here the most over other studios. The music, the instructors, the studio vibe and flow of the class is perfect! I planned on staying with ClassPass because I know pricing can be steep but after two weeks I decided to commit to an unlimited membership and I've been coming every single weekday for the 6 am class and I feel so good after. Wow. I was sick for the week and they charged me $20 each class for no show. "States in our policy" Pretty steep especially since I paid for the classes ahead of time. So they pocket the paid spot which wouldn't make a difference because the spot is paid for whether I show up or not. Good luck to this place! read more
