I normally go to the Orange location but I will occasionally go to the Tustin location as well if the class times work better for me. I've taken classes from Hina and Miranda here and so far I really like all the instructors I've taken. Miranda is so knowledgeable and her energy keeps me going. I like that every instructor is so different so it never feels like the same workout. There are 8 reformers here so the perfect size I think for a studio. There is a bathroom and there is more merch here for sale compared to the Orange location. Parking: plenty in the lot read more

LiveMetta Pilates is located in Old Town Tustin. Thankfully they have their own private parking lot, the same parking lot as Honda-Ya. For any first timers to the studio, I recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to sign the studio waiver. Grip socks required, similar to all pilates studios for safety reasons. I brought a water bottle and my own yoga mat. They provide all the equipment required for the work out. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by Ray, the assistant studio manager, and our amazing Pilates instructor Jennavie. There was an ipad for self check in. To the back, there were merchandise for purchase and cubbies for you to store your belongings. The cubbies were small for my liking since the size it more for shoes and maybe just keys and a wallet. I had my purse with me and it was 3 or 4 times the size of the cubbie so I took my belongings to my pilates station. Jennavie was very sweet and caring. I have been to other reformer Pilates classes at Club Pilates and NeauxMix Fit, but we had other students who were complete beginners. Jennavie went to their stations before class and explained the reformer bed to them. Throughout class she was very precise and explanatory with her directions. She would come by and check on our posture and form to make sure we were working out optimally and safely. It was a great work out! I really like the pace of the class. She gave us breathing cues and she kept a very upbeat momentum to the work out. Jennavie was also complimenting my flexibility. I felt so good about myself after class; I would definitely come back when my schedule allows. After the work out, you are given sanitizing wipes to wipe down your station and all the equipment you touched. I can't help but notice how worn out some of their equipment was. The reformer closest to the entrance that I was on had ripped markings on the reformer showing wear and tear. Hopefully the studio can reinvest in their equipment or get repairs for those. I've come here for a number of yoga classes now and it is always a treat. The ambiance of the entire studio is very warm and relaxing. The yoga room is very expansive with window on two of the sides making it feel really open, even when you're in a heated class. Thus far, my favorite class is the Soul Flow or Align and Flow with Tracy. It's a great way to start your morning for all practice levels. read more

I contacted the studio but they basically said too bad, even though they can track and see I didn't take any classes since the initial period ended. I have been visiting LiveMetta for private lessons for years! I recently joined and started the 8 classes per month membership and am hooked! Already considering bumping up to unlimited. The instructors are all incredible, the class times convenient, and the programming is next level! I had to come to terms with the fact that the gym just isn't for me. I needed something with an instructor, a machine, & most importantly, something that kicked my butt into gear. So, my determination to take a pilates class was born... Mind you, my only other connection to pilates was taking a class for my friend's 13th birthday so yeah...I definitely started out with the free introduction class. They're super cool and communicative with you about setting us your intro class (the person I spoke to I believe was named Rey, very very kind!) As of now, introduction classes are hosted on either Saturdays at 10:00 AM or Tuesdays at 6:30 PM. I originally scheduled for the Saturday but they were super understanding when I had to move it to that following Tuesday. The parking lot is pretty large. There are a lot of businesses but every time I come, it seems like the only ones that actually have business are the tattoo parlor, the health shop, this place, & the sushi restaurant (which is next on my list of places to go) Because of this, parking is usually not a problem but it can get a little clogged around 6:30/7:00 because everyone wants sushi so just be mindful. Regardless, wherever you park in the lot isn't too far from the studio. It's not too large, not too small, just right in my opinion. It's bright, all of the people who work there are always so inviting & kind, they usually have music, & everything is super clean! There's a little hallway with clothes and other merchandise that you can purchase (keep in mind that you NEED toe/pilates socks so if you forget to order some off of Amazon ahead of time, you can purchase there!) and cubbies for you to put your items. There's also a bathroom and a water dispenser for your convenience, it's the little things that matter the most, you know? There are eight machines, each with all of their own ball, head rest, bands, mats, etc. Everything is very clean, sturdy, up to date, and comfortable to use, especially after taking the introductory class. My intro class was with Lisa. She was very welcoming & did a great job of explaining the history & purpose behind pilates, how each position works various parts of our bodies, the ways to breathe & position ourselves, and basically every other detail you may be wondering about. That class definitely pushed me to sign up for a membership. I opted for 4 classes a month at $99, with their special, my first month was $45! I love the fact that they have a super easy to use app that allows you to keep track of your payment type, classes remaining, book classes, etc. I recommend booking classes early because they definitely fill up, especially if you start to develop a schedule & want to keep it that way! Typically, I take class with Sonia on Mondays. She's a great start to my week to be honest. She's just gentle enough to where I feel like I'm going at a comfortable pace but also hard enough to where I can feel the burn after class. Just recently, because I miscalculated my classes, I realized that I have one more available before my membership renewed but it was too late to book Monday so I opted for Wednesday with Megan. Let me tell you... That class kicked my butt. It's 3 days later and I still feel it, definitely worth it! At the end of each class, they make sure to hand you a sanitary wipe to clean everything off which we love to see (cleanliness is best!) & send you off, great class every time, highly recommend! read more

On that specific "Appointments" page, you wouldn't see anywhere say that grip socks are required. Instead, you'd have to click on the "Info" tab and then scroll towards the bottom to read that grip socks are required. I wish this note was stated upfront on the "Appointments" tab too. And I must've missed the confirmation email too. I was very new to reformer pilates and ClassPass at the time. Now I know much better what to look for. - Hopefully your next new client will be able to take advantage of that new member discount even if they don't bring a credit card. 7/20/21 Review: Mixed. Much to like and dislike from my experience. Pros: - Relaxing. The pilates exercises are done at a super smooth pace, which brings about a tranquil feeling as you lie on a smooth sliding reformer. - Fancy equipment! Has different springs for varying workout difficulties. - For one of the last exercises, a shoulder workout, I sure felt something. That's when I feel I'm gaining something. - Nice minimalistic interior decor, including a very clean and serene restroom. - Polite, helpful, informative staff. Thanks Megan and Ray! Cons: - (personally for me) most of the exercises were too easy, so I didn't feel anything. Throughout the routine, she instructed only two tension options (1 red and 1 blue, or 2 reds (red is tighter than blue)); I'd've preferred to add even more weights so I could feel something the whole session, but I decided to politely follow her instruction. Thus, my workout was a bit too easy for me. - (This one's a sextuple whammy.) Surprise purchase required before class. Their ClassPass page did not mention that you'd have to buy special grippy socks. Anyway, I arrived ~20min early. Signed in and was good to go. Then, not until 2min before class did Megan mention that I'll need to buy their special socks. What a last-min surprise. I asked for loaners, but they don't have. ( I'm grateful to another ClassPass that DID offer loaner boxing gloves, so I didn't have to buy my own for my intro class. And yes, they clean them. :) ) Assistant Ray said she can give me a 10% discount. But turns out they don't have G Pay. Didn't have my credit cards on me, but good thing I pack spare $20 bills in my phone case. They don't give change... So I just left my full $20 bill there and put on my new grippy socks that I'll probably never use again. ( ...Unless, I use them for long hikes? Could be good for my upcoming Half Dome hike... Just so happy I found this place on Classpass. Went to Sheela's abs and glutes class on a Friday at 12 PM, and she kicked my butt. The class used a variety of equipment and I really felt like I got a solid workout in when I left. Sheela was also very hands on and watchful to make sure you were getting the positions right to maximize the exercise. The class moved quickly through lots of exercises so I felt like my whole body was being worked. Studio was beautiful and very peaceful. Parking is easy to find as the studio is located in a small strip mall in old town tustin. Love it and will be back! read more

I've tried out many pilates studios in the past and this one is my favorite! The staff is very friendly and courteous and the instructors are very knowledgeable. After only attending classes there a couple times, the check-in staff & instructor greeted me by name when I first walked through the door. Definitely made me feel like I was part of the family. I have some lower back issues with my sciatica and on my first visit, the instructor noticed it immediately as I massaged my lower back before class started. She came over to me and said that if I have lower back pain, she would show me some adjustments to the exercises that would help strengthen the area without putting any additional strain on it. So throughout the class, she came over to me to help me with adjustments. It was the first time I made it through a pilates class without aggravating my lower back. The hands-on approach they provided really helped me make the most of the exercises while still protecting sensitive area. After a few months of classes, my lower back pain was nearly gone. The aesthetics of the studio is very calming and super clean. They have air purifiers (which is a PLUS during these times of COVID) and I saw them wipe down all of the equipment thoroughly between the classes. I really appreciate this cause some other studios I have tried just do a quick wipe and call it a day. I ended up signing up for their membership after completing my introductory offer. After trying out so many other studios, I finally found one that I felt cared about me and helping me improve my strength and mobility! Great studio with amazing instructors! I've never done Pilates before coming here, and it's been life changing. I took the Free Orientation Class where I learned a lot of basics on form that helped me for the future classes I took. Pilates has been a great compliment to the distance running and weight lifting that I already do, by helping me work on a stronger core and stability in my shoulders that have always been problematic for me. Tried this studio with a 5 class groupon. It's not too far from my work in Irvine and I was looking for a place where I could do lunch time Pilates. This place does a 45 min lunch time class so it fit the schedule perfectly. I've only attended these afternoon classes, and there has been two different instructors. The more recent instructor is better than the other in my opinion, because she comes around to check people's form and the other one really didn't at all. She just kinda went through the motions like she was waiting to get outta there. There's only 6 reformers, so I like that you have smaller classes. Only thing is you have to sign up online otherwise they can fill up quickly. read more

I have been coming here for almost three years and I love it. I gotten stronger than before. I went to physical therapy, acupuncture , and chiropractor but nothing helped with my back pain(from car accidents and bad posture). However, coming here helped with my back pain and I am extremely thankful for my teachers. The instructors and the managers actually care about the people coming here. Unfortunately, I moved away from Irvine, so I cant come here as often as I used to. But I am still driving 30+mins to attend class now! It is very worth it! read more

I am also one who purchased a Groupon for this studio. I bought the Groupon because a good friend of mine takes classes here and she's been raving about it to me for a long time. So I took the plunge and bought some classes. Full disclosure: I've never been on a reformer machine before. It took some getting used to, but I took my 5th class this afternoon and I felt like I knew what I was doing. It helped that most instructors along the way were very aware of my new-ness and helped me. You do need some sort of sticky-bottomed sock for the reformer. First class they let you take it barefoot, and because I had no idea about the sock requirement, that is what I did. I found some pretty slick socks on Amazon for cheap, and it's worth it because then you look like you know what you're doing with your cool socks. My first class was with Lisa, and thank goodness because she practically held my hand through the whole thing. She was an excellent instructor. The workout is awesome! A full-body workout is achieved in a very efficient manner. The studio is small, with 6 reformers. There is also a mat pilates room which one of my instructors utilized for a warm up. Overall the place is clean and inviting. Towels are provided, showers are not. I believe there is a changing room, and there's a bathroom. Overall I liked this studio, and I plan to be back with Classpass. Just make sure you reserve online...I had to call to figure out how to register for a class with my Groupon, and there are very specific instructions on the voicemail about what to do. Easy and I got signed up. If a class is full you can get on a "waitlist", which in my experience was successful once out of three attempts. There are regulars here that take up the evening classes, so register early if you want in. read more

The instructors are great and each offers their own style and twist so your body is constantly challenged. The studio is the perfect size, which allows you to get the right amount of attention. It's unpretentious, which lets face it, some studios can give off that vibe. LiveMetta Pilates is the place to go for Pilates in the Tustin area. I signed up my wife here before the pandemic and her body began to transform within weeks. And then the pandemic hit us and also hit her body in a negative way. She resumed a few weeks ago and now she is on her way back to optimal health. I bought this as a Groupon. When I got to the studio there was no one there. I called the owner and left a vm asking her if the class was cancelled. The class was suppose to start at 9am. The instructor, finally arrived 10 minutes later. She was upset and said she "couldn't find parking". The instructor was then upset at me because I called the owner. She demanded I call the owner back to explain the situation. During the session, the instructor wouldn't help me with the Pilate moves. She said I needed to buy private sessions to get individual help. Nope, never going here again. Such a waste of money. read more

Great studio with 6 reformers in the class allowing for enough time for instructors to correct any problems with positioning. Parking is easy and class schedule is ideal for week nights and weekend mornings. I came as a beginner and now prefer the intermediate to advanced classes. When I was pregnant nearly 2 years ago, I came to the studio 2-3x a week until a week before my delivery. Instructors are knowledgeable and provided modifications based on my comfort and safety. This really made delivery a breeze for me as exercises were low impact and kept my heart rate up. I came back postpartum and was excited to try some of the more advanced level classes. Intermediate or advanced students can take the classes appropriate for them. Even if you can't make the time to an advanced class, instructors look to help you with modifications to give you a good workout. Can't recommend this place enough as I've only had positive experiences. read more

I cannot thank Dan enough for helping me throughout my first pregnancy and now postpartum. Doing pilates throughout my pregnancy was more beneficial than any prenatal class I have attended. I cannot express how important pilates was in prepping my body and mind for labor!! I had the ideal pregnancy and I can't thank Dan enough for it. I didn't experience any morning sickness, back pain, body aches, or any trouble sleeping. Dan helped me strengthen my core, back and pelvic floor.
