First timer doing Pilates at this studio and I really enjoyed it. The place is extremely clean, they sell socks and staff is very welcome. The 6 AM trainer was very details and insured I was doing the correct movements and all. Definitely recommend 6 AM class for starters on Saturdays.

I took the Full Body X Burn class with Rashika at Studio X. The studio is tucked inside a business park, and had plenty of parking - rare compared to many CM studios I've visited. Both the front desk associate and Rashika were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially since it was my first time there. I loved the ambiance, as they had darker walls, dim lighting, and neon signs with encouraging phrases to set the tone, along with a great playlist of chill and lo-fi EDM. The class had about 7 students, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Rashika was helpful during the session, offering form corrections and motivating each of the students individually, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying out more instructors. Tips about the studio: - grip socks are required - they have a water refill station, but you need bring your own bottle and sweat towel. - One restroom - no showers.

This studio was where I took my first ever Pilates class. I loved the studio-- it was so clean & had a girly aesthetic. Since it was my first class, the instructor made sure to come to my reformer to check if my form was correct. The atmosphere at this studio is also so uplifting/ motivating. Whenever I am in OC again, I would 100% take this class again. I wish they had a Studio X in Pasadena!

Example of a different Pilates studio - very clearly disclosed policies and details of what the pass entails

After having a bad experience at their Orange location, I wanted to try out their Costa Mesa location. Unfortunately, I also did not have a great experience. When purchasing passes and booking classes on their Studio X app, there are no disclosures or disclaimers about their rules and policies. See the attached screenshots for the information Studio X provides when you try to purchase a drop in class here vs another studio. You also can't find their policy information anywhere else on the app, by the way. So, you can imagine my confusion when I unfortunately was late to my class and got hit with both a late fee and later learned that I lost my original class credit when that policy wasnt disclosed at the time of purchase. I received an email receipt about the late fee, which I accepted even though it wasn't disclosed. However, to lose my class credit without this being disclosed at the time of purchase feels extremely shady. I called the location to try to ask for clarification, since I didn't initially understand that my class credit was lost. No one picked up and they instead responded via text. I kindly explained my situation, and asked for a one-time courtesy exception since their policies weren't disclosed and I am currently trying to find a new studio in the area. They refused to listen and accommodate. It's wild to me how apparent their lack of care and understanding is for their clients, but I'm not surprised considering the review I just read about how dirty they handled one of their pregnant clients. I wish I would've read the reviews before trying to give Studio X another chance at a different location. Overall, my experience at both locations is that I was not met with inviting, friendly and understanding staff who want to help support you during your Pilates journey. These experience give the impression that these studios are trendy cash-grabs that have no real mission or purpose in providing quality Pilates sessions. I have reached out directly to their support email for an explanation and a follow up as of 11/25. This review will be updated if there is a resolution from the studio for these issues.

it was okay! not a very hard class at all unfortunately so i don't really have a fair review. i wish it was a more challenging class , but the instructor was very good and knew what she was doing. i wish there was more help with form for being a beginner. very cold in the studio, and small space.

Never done Pilates before, what do I need to bring for a reformer class?

All you need is a pair of grip socks. We do require socks to be worn in all classes. However, if you don’t have any we sell some! Also, I would bring some water as well.

Trying out a class soon, do I need to bring those Pilates grip socks?

Yes grip socks are required. I also sell some if needed. :)

I wasn't feeling challenged anymore on the normal machine and wanted more strength training from my workouts which is exactly what I found here! My first time kicked my butt I was sore for days after but it was so worth it. I immediately decided to start a membership. I go 1-2x a week. I also do weight lifting and cardio. My abs and arms have never looked better! The studio is small making it easier for instructors to help you with your form. All the instructors I've had are friendly, enthusiastic, and encouraging. It's always clean and I've never had trouble finding parking. They also validate 2 hours if you park in the structure

Some of the instructors were very friendly and welcoming, but others came across as uninterested and not very approachable. One thing that stood out to me was the lack of posture correction or guidance during class. Even when it seemed like people were struggling, there wasn't much hands-on help from the trainers. In a Pilates class, proper form is really important, so that was disappointing. I really wanted to love this place because the studio itself is nice, but overall the experience didn't meet my expectations.

Took a Reform x Strength class via Class Pass to try out this new studio, as I was really looking…read moreinto different studios to consider for a "home" studio. The flow and class structure itself was good, and the instructor was good too. This was the first studio I've been to where you're assigned a reformer to use for the duration of the class, and I got assigned the reformer with absolutely no mirrors at all: None. I couldn't even see myself in the reflection of other mirrors. For my first time here, this made a terrible first impression. Luckily, I'm pretty good with my body awareness for coaching queues, and have experience with a reformer, but if you're a visual learner, and it's your first time trying pilates, or you're still not comfortable with it, it would have been very hard to keep up with the class. I'd suggest either adding mirrors to this area, or getting rid of this reformer altogether. Paying the same price as others for a sub-par experience is just not how you want customers to feel. The whole point of Pilates is to be aware of your movement and control: how can you do this, if you can't even see yourself? Even the instructor said I was doing good for having no mirrors, since "it's very hard to do without mirrors". Lastly, the platform on this reformer squeaked SO much. I feel so SO self conscious and bad whenever it would make a sound to the point where I stopped the workout altogether because I felt like I was detracting from others' experience: again, not being able to even complete a workout isn't what you want the customer's experience to be like. Overall, I would not recommend this studio based on my first experience. There's lots of other studios who made me feel like my money would be worth spending there, but not this one.

I love this location because of the convenience, intimacy of the class, ease of parking, and proximity to home. In addition, as someone who has a variable schedule, this studio I've found has the most availability for classes. However, getting to trial classes at some of the other locations (Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley), there is only one con of taking workout classes here: the mirror set up! While I was taking the class, I was in a place where I couldn't see myself in the mirror and look at my form which was unfortunate. My instructor Alexa was kind enough to give me and several others who were in the middle of mirrors form corrections throughout the class. Otherwise, this would get 5 stars from me!
