Finally checked Match Pilates off my list. As the reviews mention, parking is definitely rough but I showed up about 20 minutes early and managed to snag a spot on the cul-de-sac. Check-in was a breeze, and the studio itself is so cute. The class room is spacious, aesthetic, and I loved the wall detail. I took Elauq's class and really enjoyed her teaching style, although she announced at the end that it was her last day teaching there, such a bummer. Overall, despite the parking situation, this is a studio I would absolutely recommend. I loved the space and I'm looking forward to trying other instructors.

Tried out this studio on Sunday with the instructor Chyna. She was so sweet from the start, but wow the class was definitely very challenging for someone who's never done pilates at all. I came with a friend who had heard about them for their matcha and pilates events. The studio itself is very large and spacious, with a waiting room that gives off zen vibes. The one I took was a hot pilates class, and it looks like the room fits about 30 people. I really liked that Chyna gave modification options for each routine. This is a mat pilates studio, and they have all of the bands and circle thing set up for you. They also sell socks at this studio, so if it's your fit time like me, you could purchase the socks when you get there. My legs were definitely shaking about halfway through, but I did enjoy the work out and can see why others love it!

A modern Pilates studio in Santa Ana! The staff here is really friendly and welcoming. Everything is kept clean. They offer a couple different types of classes, I attended for hot Pilates sculpt. As someone who's done Pilates before (months ago), going back this was challenging for me but every body is different and of course it was fun! The instructors are motivating, professional and encouraging! Chyna was an incredible instructor and great at what she does. I would go back, just need to get back in the routine of working hard.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant interaction with an instructor named Anika after class today. My husband came with me as my guest. The app wouldn't allow me to check him in because it said he hadn't signed a waiver. However, we took a class together last Saturday and this wasn't required then, so the process was confusing. This was only his second time attending as my guest. After class, we were asking the instructor we took our class with and the instructor for the next class, Anika, on how to go about the process of signing the waiver and checking in. Anika's tone was very rude and condescending. Eventually we ended up in the corner area with the instructor from the class we had just taken, who was kindly helping my husband create an account and sign the waiver. While this was happening, Anika approached us and told us that we needed to leave because her class was starting. At the same time, she also insisted that my husband had to sign the waiver before we could leave. This was confusing because her class hadn't even started yet--the clients were still arriving--and we were already in the process of completing what she said needed to be done. The issue wasn't the policy itself, but the way it was communicated. Her tone was rude and condescending toward my husband and our friends who were with us. My husband and two friends, who have also been taking classes here with me for years, were all surprised by how we were spoken to. We've never experienced this type of interaction with any other instructor at the studio. We truly enjoy this studio and the Lagree classes, which is why this interaction stood out so much. I just hope future situations like this can be handled with clearer communication and a more courteous approach.

Some of the instructors were very friendly and welcoming, but others came across as uninterested and not very approachable. One thing that stood out to me was the lack of posture correction or guidance during class. Even when it seemed like people were struggling, there wasn't much hands-on help from the trainers. In a Pilates class, proper form is really important, so that was disappointing. I really wanted to love this place because the studio itself is nice, but overall the experience didn't meet my expectations.

Her class flow was so good and I felt like I got a very balanced workout because we worked on everything. The beginner class is still challenging for me so it's gonna be a while before I move up a level haha. Music: it was kind of like EDM? I really liked it. And yes they have a bathroom! The class was listed as heated, but the room wasn't heated. There was also a fairly long introduction before class started, and I would have preferred using that time to begin warming up while she gave her announcements. My biggest concern was the amount of hands-on assisting. I don't recall being asked if the class was comfortable with physical adjustments, and at times the corrections felt a bit forceful. I also felt that some alignment cues were presented as one-size-fits-all, when different body types may need different positioning. There was also a comment that if our hips weren't level, it meant one side was "weaker." I understand the point she was trying to make, but the wording felt discouraging and oversimplified, especially in a fitness environment that is usually focused on building confidence and body awareness. I can tell Alejandra is passionate about form and alignment and genuinely wants her clients to move safely. I wanted to share this feedback because I think a little more flexibility in cueing, less hands-on correction, and more time spent moving would create a more positive and inclusive experience. I also encourage her to be mindful of the language she uses when addressing the class, as fitness spaces should feel encouraging and empowering for all.
