Becky is a fantastic instructor who is challenging but also understanding of everyone's abilities. She provides easy modifications and always has an even, steady pace. I'm an avid cyclist, and I recently took up Pilates for cross training 3 months ago; I've tried at least 10-12+ studios trying to find what will be my "home studio," and I think I found it with Neaumix. The Von Karman and Northwood locations are under the same owner, and I love that I can use my passes at either location AND book up to entire month in advance; I'd give them more stars if I could, as that's truly rare among Pilates studios with 1-2 weeks being the norm. Parking is super accessible at both, and the studio size is perfection and capped at 9. I've tried different studios that cram 15+ reformers in a room, and there is simply no way for an instructor to be diligent in checking the form of that many people at any given time. Some studios sacrifice quality for quantity - not here at Neaumix though! I appreciate the classes at both Irvine location being a tad longer at 50 minutes, instead of 45 which is common at other studios (including other locations in the franchise). 5 minutes may not seem like a lot, but you can do at least 2 additional movements in that time period to maximize your workout and target additional muscle groups. I have genuinely enjoyed class with each instructor so far. Mariana (Von Karman) and Emily (Northwood) are especially top notch for their incredible attention to form and wonderful cueing. I also enjoy the movements in their classes, as I find them more dynamic, often engaging multiple muscle groups simultaneously to get an efficient, engaging work out. I consider myself fit and in great shape, but I leave each class humbled and sweaty. Today, I had a glitch with their booking platform where it wasn't deducting my passes properly, essentially giving me extra classes. Not wanting to abuse the system and take advantage of the error, I called the owner to report it in case it was a wider issue. John was so nice and appreciated me raising it to his attention; he even gave me a complimentary pass, which was truly too kind considering that they already give each client one free class. Becky has created a lovely studio space here. This isn't really your typical Pilates studio -- there's reformers as well as bikes and a TRX wall. I haven't tried the fit mix classes (a combination of all three of these apparatuses) but I have tried the reformers Pilates only classes and it's been a wonderful challenge. I would say if you're new to Pilates or working out entirely, the level of classes is not truly beginner, it's more of an all levels mixed class. I do think the instructors try to meet people where they're at and provide modifications as necessary but there's not really a truly beginner, learning the basics kind of class here (at least not that I've tried). I love the timing of the classes here though as they tend to be abundant and easy to work in to my schedule. They also don't tend to fill up so quickly that you have to sign up weeks in advance which gives you a bit more flexibility. I've taken classes with Becky and Judy and both are wonderful instructors. They challenge you to do your best but they also give you grace where you need it. I'm grateful to have found a studio in Irvine that I enjoy and hope to be back for more classes! read more

Happy International Women's Day! Neaumix Fit is a women-owned small business and I love love love that their team is set out to help women (and men) of all shapes and sizes to be healthy and beautiful through their pilates, trx, cycle, barre and yoga classes. I discovered Neaumix Fit on Classpass and they have a lot of class times that are convenient for my schedule. Located in the same plaza as Walmart, they are near the side with the Sally's Beauty Supply and Sydnee's Pet Grooming. On my first visit I came a lot early to make sure I don't get lost and also to sign away the typical first time studio attending waivers. Stephanie, who also ended up being my instructor, was super friendly and welcoming. She was telling me all about the studio. I especially appreciated how she asked if I have any injuries so she can provide adjustments during the work out. I find it professional and reassuring when an instructor is that thoughtful. I took their Reformer Pilates class. This class requires grip socks for safety operating the pilates equipment and also for sanitary due to the pandemic. The studio sells grip socks and other merchandise if you do not have any. Also wise to bring water and a towel. All of the ladies here are friendly and hilarious. Super motivating and encouraging. I think they are a tight knit community who genuinely cares for each other here. This is embarrassing to admit but these pilates classes are so bad@ss because I felt the burn and sweat even during the first exercise at warm up. It was an incredibly challenging but rewarding work out. Stephanie was great with the flow of class, energy, and offering modifications. I've been taking Pilates classes with Noelle for many years, and I truly can't imagine training with anyone else. She is incredibly kind, patient, positive, and welcoming to people of all experience levels. What really sets Noelle apart is how attentive she is--she gives thoughtful, hands-on corrections to make sure everyone is using the correct muscles, which makes a huge difference in preventing injury and improving technique. She seems to have a really good sense of knowing what each client needs in order to become stronger. I've seen her work with multiple people experiencing injuries and she seems to understand and adapt to their particular issues. I took a Pilates class here, and it was the best. The business is located within a big building so you have to walk up some stairs to get to the business. Once you walk in it is very clean and seems like a good vibe. The reformers are very clean and new, including their other equipment. It is a very small space but it has a very nice view. For not working out for more than I'd like to admit, I'm currently in pain and on my side cuz it hurts to lay on my back. I don't want to put any strain on my abdominals because they're sore right now - as are my triceps and thighs. When I sneeze, I now scream simultaneously cuz it hurts. Energetic/useful instructors without being too scary/overly bubbly ====== Yesterday was my first free day after resigning from my previous role (if it doesn't spark joy, leave it), and I decided to be a good girl and work out. I wanted to try a Barre class, but was too lazy to drive further into Irvine, so I found TRX classes - but it wasn't on the schedule for this week. I settled for a spin/reformer (pilates) class. My friend and I decided to do a class together and sign our lives away at 830am on a Friday morning. For the spin class, it was very good music. I love listening to upbeat rap with a fast pace. The instructor changed the routine quite a bit so it was never boring. My hands got sweaty so it's probably best to bring a small towel. I've also come to the conclusion that I dislike spin because half the time I'm trying to balance on the bike while not ramming my crotch into the seat as to not bruise it. It's also a bit boring for me, only cuz I prefer things like boxing or rock climbing. As for the pilates class, that was also my first time and I did enjoy this one more. Just wanted to say fuck you Lauren for making my body like this. Hurts to laugh, lay down, and get up. Things I take for granted when I'm a potato. I did enjoy that she was a patient instructor who explained how to position your body. What I didn't enjoy, though was for my benefit - was that the reformer machine was set at a medium level and this was only known 5m after I started to use it. Before it was fixed, the workout really kicked my ass and I was sweating, while simultaneously trying to not groan and cuss cuz I'm not at home. Regardless, even when the machine was set in it's proper position, it still kicked my ass. Earlier in the car, my bf asked me to run into the restaurant we ate at cuz he forgot his drink. I exclaimed, "hell no, I'm not hurting myself more to get you your drink.". I'm not exerting more energy than I need to in my current physical state for your forgetfulness lol As for cleanliness, wet wipes were dispersed to every student. This studio is a bit small, but it looks like people just get in and get out, since the locker/bathroom was small. I did enjoy the LED lights to make a workout seem not as excruciating. I might be curious enough to pay for a class just for Lauren cuz she's a great instructor - friendly and knows what she's doing. I do wish they added more TRX classes! read more

I have been going to Neaumixfit Center/s in Irvine for the past 14 months, and I've absolutely enjoyed this experience. Everyday, I look forward to my Pilates sessions, and I know that I have developed stronger muscles and have become more flexible because of my Pilates routines. All of our instructors are friendly and helpful, and I have enjoyed the classes instructed by Lauren, Becky, Cezie, Sara and Noelle. Both centers in Von Karman and Northwood are clean and nice, the AC, fans and reformer beds work smoothly. I highly recommend going to these centers to everyone. Non-likes: - Before class starts, you have to fill out a form with your info. I prefer that my ClassPass enrollment was already enough. Their ClassPass portal mentions that grip socks are required only on the "Info" page, NOT the "Appointments" page. So if you're clicking on a specific class, you'd miss the note that grip socks are required. I notice this confusion is common in other reformer studios' ClassPass webpages, too. If you're a complete newbie like me, do NOT book your first free class with Lexi. My son and I were beyond excited to try our first class. We had done floor Pilates before but had never used a reformer machine. It was a complete foreign object that was very intimidating to someone who had never been near one before. When we walked in, I made sure and let her know that we had never done this before. The "welcoming vibe" was set to extremely low, so that should've been my first clue. She told us to pick any machine, so we picked two next to each other. We got there early enough that we were the first two people there. Lexi proceeded to go to the back, chat a little bit with one lady that had arrived, walk around, turn on the music, then finally came and sat down between us to "explain" the machine. There are about 10 objects laying inside the machine that we got no guidance on what to use them for. She told us to just be listening for her to shout out what we would need to use on the machine and look left and right at our neighbors to see how to do what she was calling out to do. There was no "walking us" through the machine or how to actually use the dang thing. Just "here's the foot board, there's the straps, and hold on to the bar when you stand up". Not even an instruction on HOW to lay down on it! We looked at each other like "what the hell did we just sign up for"? So the class begins. She laid on a machine that was behind us, said "grab your round hoop" (which was never even mentioned in the so called orientation), put your feet in the straps, put the hoop on your ankles, and pull!" I'm still trying to figure out how to lay down on it, wondering how in the hell am I going to get both feet in a strap that is literally behind my head while looking backwards to see what she's doing. I got so dizzy and frustrated, I look over at my son and he's just as confused as I am. I sit up and tell him. "I can't do this". She's going 90 to nothing on with her class of "well educated" people who have obviously been taking these classes for a while. I stand up in frustration and am so beyond embarrassed that we begin to grab our things and leave. THEN she gets up and decides it's time to ask if we're ok. Oh NOW you wanna teach a new person?!? I just wanted to laugh in her face. Absolutely no! We're not ok!! There was nothing in the way of instructions for a new person from the actual INSTRUCTOR!! It was humiliating and on top of that, I wasted 40$ on non slip SOCKS that you have to buy there. I was about to pay these people a monthly membership for both myself and my son, but not after that TOTAL lack of consideration for our inexperience. Of which, she was very aware of. She behaved with such an attitude of superiority that it only reinforced WHY I dislike working out in front of others, and why I'll never try this again. I felt like a complete fool. We both did. Offer a BEGINNERS class for god's sake! Or if you KNOW that it is someone's first time; actually spend some time showing them how to use the machine. That experience felt like the complete opposite of someone CARING about HELPING us succeed. It was absolutely ONE of the most embarrassing and humiliating moments of my life. That may sound dramatic to some, but when you're someone who is already struggling with her weight and wanting desperately to find something that will help my entire body, the last thing I needed was to feel defeated. read more

I LOVE Neaumix Fit! I was looking for something different after attending Core Power for a year and I came across this studio that offered a variety of different fitness classes. I took my first class with Jenn and she was super sweet and helpful. She took the extra time to make sure I had proper form and felt comfortable on my reformer. I have been with Neumix Fit for a couple months now and I LOVE Melissa, Heather, Jenn and all the gals that I have taken a class with. Melissa the owner is HILARIOUS and her classes are always booked but with good reason! She really cares about her studio and clients and it shows. They mix up the classes every few weeks based on clients requests. So they are always adding in new classes to try. You do need to book in advance and reserve your spot. I love this business practice because it holds me accountable to be in class at 6am and not miss out! If there is a waitlist, most times you can get in because peoples schedule changes. I feel the bad reviews on here aren't a true representation of the studio. I feel like the clients that have been here will tell you their experience has been completely different, including my own. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends with different fitness levels and goals. They have a class for everyone! read more

The instructor was good. Not great. At times I didn't understand what I should be doing, and didn't believe the poses/order were most effective. I definitely got a sweat in all the same however. My biggest issue is them charging $20 for a pair of socks. That's straight up highway robbery. They are making money off socks. Do better business and maybe you'll keep more new clients. read more

I took my first Pilates class three months ago and I was hooked. If you haven't tried it yet, do it! The studio has several new member specials that are unbeatable. I thought Pilates would be intimidating at first, but all the teachers at Neaumix are so nice and supportive. I never feel pressured to push my body beyond what I'm capable of. I had my first ever pilates class here almost 5 months ago after not working out for a while. I could barely walk the next day but it was a good thing! Been hooked ever since. My reason for trying out pilates was that I was getting back injuries doing other workouts. I wanted something with low impact. Also I have kids and zero core strength. Pilates has really helped me strengthen my core and help get me stronger. These classes really challenge you but in a good way. All the instructors are really nice and all have their own style. One of my favorite studios in OC! I've tried several studios around the area and had great experiences but this studio from day one has been warm and friendly! I walked in for the first time and was greeted with a smile and asked if I was new to the studio, they had me sign the paperwork and showed me where to sign in.During my first reformer class Lindsey helped me set up my reformer and made sure I was doing all the moves properly. I highly recommend Lindsey and Jamie's classes if you're new! They are mostly in the afternoon and they're awesome and show you how to do the moves! Also shout out to my morning instructors for always being amazing, they switch it up for us regulars and keep it interesting. I also love that this studio has all types of workouts. I have a normal cycle studio that I go to but I love to throw in a Cycle/Pilates class every so often at Neaumix! If you haven't tried a combo class I highly recommend! read more

Love this place!! The studio is clean. They provide towels and water. There is always plenty of parking as well. We come weekly for the reformer classes and both Jen and Tedde kick my ass each time. You know you had a good session when your legs are weak as you try to drive home! Only downside is the giant floor to ceiling windows in the studio where you are on display to everyone outside. It's a bit awkward and distracting to have people standing around outside just watching, but it's also a good source of light since the studio with the reformers is a bit dim. I haven't tried any cycling classes but I've heard many good things about it from my coworkers that go regularly. Be sure to look out for deals on class packages as well! read more

I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid to let the secret out and make it harder for me to get into the classes each day!! I found Neaumix in late 2020 when gyms were permitted to open again due to my long-time Pilates studio shutting its doors. I knew that anywhere Lexi Luciano would be teaching was exactly where I needed to be. Since September 2020 I have logged about the same number of classes as there are days!! Not only did I get Lexi back into my life and to help me shed the 2020 excess and re-tone my muscles, I gained so much more. I added spin to my routine - something I previously loathed but now I love. I've made a whole group of new Neaumix friends and I've finally found a place, people, teachers and challenge to make me WANT to get up and get my sweat on every day rather than having to talk myself into it. It's just big enough to not feel awkward and small enough to get the focus necessary to make it worthwhile. We laugh AND sweat each and every class and everyone is nice, welcoming and non judgmental. Every class welcomes every kind of person with open arms - men, women, pregnancy, post-partum, you and old. It's pretty awesome. I just finished my 44th Neaumix class in 37 days (Melissa's spin/Pilates killer combo). My goal was to try and make it to a class a day in January and then allow myself a break but I didn't want the break once the month was done. Kudos to Becky, Melissa, Lexi, Lauren, Michelle, Stacy, Stephanie, Cezie, Elbe, Berna, Elisa and Sara for creating such a special place for so many of us in a sea of gym options in Orange County.
