The first half of the class was an interval training between walking, jogging, and running. And the second half of the class was strength training. I wish there was more guidance from the instructor for the second half but it was just following what was on the screen like 100 step ups, 90 plank shoulder taps, 80 something, 70 something, etc. It was kind of like F45 style but without the timer and stations. Since there wasnt too much guidance on that part, I felt like I pretty much paid for an interval training on the treadmill. I enjoyed the experience though and would be open to trying out a different class to give it a fair review of if I want to continue or not. I'm still giving it a solid 4 stars though because I pay attention to little details. This studio had HAIR TIES and TAMPONS and even face wash in their bathrooms for us girlies and it's not much but so thoughtful!! Also there are earplugs inside the studio room for those who think its too loud!!! I get headaches when its too loud so I felt so seen and understood by the studio. Also at the end of class, a staff walks around passing out COLD WET TOWELS so you can cool down. These are all little extras that really make a studio stand out so kudos to this place!!

The workouts are strong, but that's not the differentiator. The community is. You see the same people consistently, and over time it becomes a tight, supportive group. It's rare to find a gym where you actually look forward to who's going to be there, not just what's programmed. Programming is thoughtful and well-balanced -- strength + high-intensity cardio -- and it never gets stale. Chris (owner/instructor) is especially good at reading people and pushing you just past where you think your limit is. You end up doing more than you expected, regularly. There's also real connection beyond the floor. They organize occasional events -- I recently did a cooking class with ~20 women from the gym -- and it adds another layer to the experience. I've always been active, but this is the first time in 20+ years I've been this consistent. That's not accidental -- it's because of the environment. We have heard of FoF from a couple members of another gym we went to and we were lucky to meet someone at FoF at Hyrox last year. I couldn't remember the person but I remember chatting with them, signing up for their email list and got a cinch bag. Well I was finally able to actually check out their gym. I'm bummed it took me so long after Hyrox to visit. Wow, they aren't faking it when they say "everybody loves everybody" in the gym. That's their motto. I checked out their Wednesday Hyrox class (met my friend Erin that morning) and I was immediately welcomed with warm smiles, high fives and good vibes. I legit felt "part of the family" at the get go. Matt, the coach, is a fantastic coach. He is always suggesting either something more challenging or something to substitute based on any injuries. I especially also love the extensive warm up before our runs -- A skips, B skips, you name it, we do it. I'm already seeing a noticeable difference taking the Hyrox classes (Wednesday, Saturday) on my runs. The staff always say hi and are extremely friendly. Brenda, always smiling and cheering us on. I really appreciate everyone is the gym here. Everyone is kind, and supportive of each other. Like I said, on day one, I felt like family already -- it's apparent that camaraderie and community is their number one priority here; everyone is supporting one another and the questions at the start of the day lets you connect and learn more about your fellow athletes in fun ways (outside of sharing the pain and trauma of the current workout lol) All in all, even tho I've only gone here x2/week for maybe a month now, this place really lives up to their name, and can't wait for more classes and challenges here. I have been working out with coach Norm for 6 months and he's my first personal trainer ever. I am…read moremoderately active and have only been doing walks and yoga regularly before. Let me tell you, his training changed my whole body! My body has transformed completely from a regular female body with not much strength in the upper body, to one that has muscle definition, energy and strength. Body changes: Belly before: a little pouch, kind of pudgy, but some core strength from yoga Belly after: smaller waist, OBLIQUES showing, lean and very strong core muscles Chest before: just lean, not much strength Chest after: visible nice looking layer of chest muscles that is not too much, still feminine and look strong and healthy like a celebrity Shoulders before: rounded, not very good posture, very normal looking Shoulders after: shoulder look leaner, more angular and look much better in clothes. I even have super defined muscles when I flex and it's crazy amazing! Arms before: slightly fat in the upper arm, probably have some hidden muscles to begin with Arms after: that layer of fat is replaced by strong muscle definition and they look so good and feel stronger Legs before: chubby and not too strong. I am built with more fat in this area Legs after: stronger quads and better looking calves! Unbelievable. It's not making me become someone with hot model legs but I look much better than before! Coach Norm is so kind, so compassionate, and most importantly, his workouts feel like checking in with my buddy. We joke around while he gives me complex moves while carefully observing my form and help me make micro adjustments so my workout is more effective and safe. He's really good at not pushing me to the brink of hating working out and always let me stop a set early if he spots that I am struggling with it, so I don't get injured. With his charisma, caring attitude and expertise in the industry I couldn't recommend him enough!

The progress certainly wasn't linear but it was possible with a consistent strength training program 4x/week and a sensible/sustainable nutrition plan. There are also some strength goals I've been able to hit while training here that I would have never dreamed of achieving before. So happy here and so happy with the progress so far!

Ellie is not only super FIT, but also she actually knows what she's doing to the bone (she's a Pilates instructor too), knows how to explain things, and is always paying attention so you don't injure yourself doing something your body absolutely did not sign up for. Both Sasa and Ellie are ridiculously friendly and funny. They tailor everything to your goals, unlike some trainers who set up the SAME plan for everyone like a cookie cutter! BTW, I've had other trainer before. Yes, I felt sore. No, I did not look forward to going back. And yes, I quit eventually. Fitco keeps me coming back! I was literally the first person to review Club Pilates UTC on Yelp over 3 years ago, and I gave…read morethem 5 stars. That's what makes writing this now even more disappointing. As of the end of this month, I will no longer be a member, and here's why. First, hygiene is a serious issue. The studio is consistently unclean and only gets properly addressed after repeated complaints. There are ant and roach traps in multiple corners, which speaks for itself. Over the years, I've raised concerns--politely and alongside other members--and only then does anything get cleaned. It shouldn't take persistent complaints to maintain basic standards. Look up at the vents and you'll see heavy dust buildup on the AC filters. This has been brought to management's attention for months, yet nothing changes. Meanwhile, the floors often have visible hair and dust, and mirrors are covered in fingerprints. When they do clean, they use overpowering, chemical-heavy products, which feels counterproductive in a space meant for health and wellness. Instructor quality has also declined significantly. Several excellent instructors have left, and the replacements have been inconsistent at best. In one class, I was introduced to a move that felt unsafe. When I asked about it afterward, the instructor said she found it on TikTok. That alone was alarming. There have also been repeated instances of instructors teaching while visibly sick. I've personally had to leave class multiple times to avoid getting ill. Only after strong complaints did this change--and now it's replaced with last-minute cancellations. On one occasion, I was already in the parking lot when I received a cancellation call. No credit was offered, despite the inconvenience. The turnover rate of instructors over the past year has been extremely high, and it shows in the declining quality of classes. Cancellations are often announced at the last minute, sometimes right at the scheduled start time, with no clear accountability or compensation. The final issue that pushed me to cancel was being charged a $15 no-show fee--despite never having missed a class. When I reached out, I initially received no response. After multiple attempts, I was connected with someone identified as a VP, who claimed I had been refunded 5-6 times in the past six months. When I asked for specifics, only three dates were provided over my 3 years as a member, and the rest were never clarified. That lack of transparency was unacceptable. I ultimately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. After I explained the situation, they were surprised at how it had been handled and agreed the charge was erroneous. The fee was refunded, and they indicated they would follow up with Club Pilates directly. If a business is willing to lose a long-term customer over a $15 charge--and handle it this poorly--that says a lot. It's a shame it came to this. At this point, it's clear that member experience is not a priority. Between the cleanliness issues, inconsistent instruction, poor communication, and questionable billing practices, I can no longer justify staying. There are many well-run studios out there. If you're considering this one, I recommend taking a close look at the environment, the instructors, and how concerns are handled before committing.

I've tried Pilates in the past, hoping that I'll have that Instagram body one day, but that went down the drain after the first session at the prev Pilates place. A couple of years passed, I went to the gym occasionally but never dared to try another Pilates class because I'll be wasting money then I found Orange People. I purchased 3 private intro classes so I don't scare myself this time, and that was the best decision I've made! Not only did the instructor correct my posture and help me to understand the posture when forming a move, but she was very good at catching what my body is good at and which areas I need more improvement on. Since the private class, I've been going to pilates group classes every 1-2 times a week with different instructors to experience them all. So far, my experience with all the instructors has been enjoyable. I don't feel rushed and behind; they all seem very attentive. Highly highly recommend Orange People.
