Is there an age limit for your yoga studio? Are teenagers allowed?

Hello Lily, our minimum age requirement is 13 years old so yes, you can bring your teenager in! You can get more details on our classes and schedule at www.bikramyogairvine.com. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Could you please confirm the studio hours listed on Yelp? Is the studio really open 24/7?

Hi Kelly, Sorry for the confusion. The best way to view our current class schedule is to visit…

Hi there, I'm interested to check it out the yoga class. But I saw some yelp reviews saying that your hour will change after January 2019 and no more classes after 6:30 is that true?

That is correct. Effective Jan 1st, 2019 we will no longer offer the 8:30pm class time. 6:30pm will be the latest class on weekdays. All other days and times will remain unchanged. You can view our live schedule at bikramyogairvine.com. We look…

They showed me around the place and I was told which studio room I was in. I like that they offer mat rentals and towel rentals in case you forget either of these items. I did my first ClassPass class in Studio 2. Super spacious room and lots of people attended. The room is at a moderate temperature and I did Yoga Sculpt with Lexus. We were instructed to have 2 sets of weights and I picked the lightest two (3 lbs and 5 lbs) since it was my first time taking the class. Lexus was a really good instructor. She gave lots of progressions throughout the whole thing and I liked that we had a full body workout. Imagine doing hot yoga with weights. I honestly was sweating LOTS afterwards, so make sure to bring a towel. I really enjoyed the class and I would definitely go again. I went on a weekday mid morning class, so this was perfect if you have a break in the mornings from work or right before your lunch break. Love the look of the studio - very modern and clean.

Been a corepower member on and off for many years. There's a lot other studios around, but I feel the easiness of booking, classes available, and times they are open, it makes it worth keeping the membership for now. The place is clean which is important.

I've been coming to this studio for a few years now, and it has truly become part of my routine…read more From the moment you walk in, you're always greeted with a warm smile, especially if Evelyn, the new owner, is at the front desk. She is so kind and welcoming, and the whole studio has a friendly, family like atmosphere. There is a great variety of classes for every level and every goal: hot yoga, Sculpt, Mobility, TRX, Slow Flow, Restore, yogalates,etc.... The evening Restore classes with Gabi, surrounded by candlelight, are the perfect way to relax after a busy day. The cool, essential oil-infused towels after each class are always my favorite little treat!! The location is also a big plus, right next to Trader Joe's, making it easy to fit a class into your day. I highly recommend this studio!

I've taken Sculpt, Signature, TRX and Core here, and the instructors are great at guiding you through a pose, whether you are a beginner or advanced yogi. I appreciate the options given on how to use blocks to actually get you into the correct form for each pose. Evelyn and Walter in particular are excellent... clear cues, good adjustments, the kind of teaching that makes a difference. I've been practicing yoga on and off at a lot of different studios over the years, and I can say with confidence that not every instructor gets you there. These two do. I hit a full wheel and splits for the first time since I started practicing, which tells you everything about how well they teach. One thing I noticed... I much prefer when instructors use the mic headset during class. It keeps their voice calm and steady, which matters a lot when you're trying to stay present in a pose. I took one class there with an instructor who didn't use it, and having to project over the music gave the whole thing a bootcamp energy rather than a yoga one. It wasn't a great fit for me, though I know that style works for some people. What also keeps me coming back is the community. The instructors and other students here are kind and welcoming, the kind of studio where people actually say hello. And the schedule works... there's enough variety in class times that it's easy to find something that fits your day. A few practical notes... there are two bathrooms, no showers, plenty of cubby space for your belongings, and a filtered water fountain if you need a refill. If you're newer to yoga or have been at it for years, this is a solid studio to build a practice at. Just try to peek at who's teaching the mic-free classes if that's not your vibe.

I started coming to The Sanctuary last month after being away from yoga for almost 8 years. I…read morewanted to get back into yoga and make more time for myself, so I decided to try the $45 two week unlimited membership. It was a great way to explore different classes and find what I enjoy. I've really loved Gentle Yoga, Yin Yang, Slow Flow, Harmony Breath & Sound, and Restorative Yoga. All of the instructors I've taken classes with have been wonderful, especially Sylvia, Sara, Divya, and Natalie. Aysha has also subbed a few classes I've attended and has a very calming voice. I ended up signing up for the monthly unlimited membership after my trial. The pricing is very affordable compared to other studios, and I love the small, intimate atmosphere. The Sanctuary is such a peaceful and welcoming place, and I truly feel like it's a place of healing. Yoga has already made such a positive difference for me mentally and physically, and I'm so glad I found this studio!

I have been curious about Sanctuary Wellness Center & Yoga Studio for a long time now. I was so…read moreexcited to see an opening for Aerial Yoga during a time I was available. I made sure to arrive early... especially when there was this excerpt on the class that says, "Arriving late, even unintentionally can take away from others - their peace, focus, and time". The parking lot was hard to find. I actually had to circle it a few times before finding it, and parking in their back lot. I entered from the back door and made my way through the front to check in with the owner. I checked in early. I signed in. I SIGNED THE WAIVER. The owner was going to give me a studio tour but she kept getting busy with other things. That's fine, not an issue. Their studio space is small. For aerial, there are 9 silks, so 1 for the instructor and 8 for the students. The front left is a bit close to some equipment so the teacher took that spot when it got busy. The spacing is a bit tight, and can cause students to bump into each other if they are not mindful. Also the studio is off a busy street and I can hear the cars driving by, so it could be more relaxing. Come early! Especially with aerial. It is important to adjust the silks where the bottom is at your pelvic height. A lot of the students did not come in until the start of class time, and the instructor still had to lower the silks and then adjust it to their height. OUR CLASS STARTED 10 MINUTES LATE. I don't blame the instructor because they can't turn away their students... but that is 10 minutes wasted from my time even though I was early and prepared. The aerial class itself was a great work out. A bit on the basic end of aerial yoga. I know the instructor mentioned she designs it based on the level of the class and we had some folks who were first timers so the instructor went easy on us. The owner offered to take pictures for us, but she went away. The instructor was nice to take photos too, but her yoga skills are definitely better than her photography skills. In one of the photos where my face and body shaped looked the best, she had her whole thigh in it. Sigh. We were 3 minutes from class ending time and we didn't even get into the silks for a cocoon savasana. At that point I just left cause it didn't seem like we would be doing the savasana or anything. What annoyed me the most ... is receiving a messaging telling me I didn't sign a waiver and that I need to sign one next time. WOW !! I came early... signed the waiver... had my time wasted... and now I get this email telling me I didn't sign the waiver. Before receiving that message I was in the air about coming back. But after seeing that message I was so annoyed. I am not coming back... It would have been more tactful to wait for me to come back and ask me at that time to sign if they misplaced the last one. I work out to relax but this whole experience was so stressful. I shouldn't have my time wasted if THEY are disorganized.
