I started going to YogaSix a few months ago and am loving it! My mobility, flexibility and sleep has improved significantly. I also like how they offer a variety of warm vs hot classes. Evelyn is my favorite instructor, she's so friendly, easy to understand and provides great feedback on your form. I also highly recommend the TRX class with Marcie, such a fun and unique way to incorporate yoga with strength and balance. The cold towels at the end are the best! I had no idea its hot yoga but the poses were very easy for me, I had a good feeling from that instructor. You bring your own yoga mat or you can rent a yoga mat if you forgot your. Yoga Six is a really nice studio. Clean space, great classes, and the teachers give clear instructions that make it easy to follow along. The only downside during my last class was that there was a mosquito inside and I ended up getting bit 4 times, which made it hard to stay fully focused. I know that's a little out of their control with the door opening and closing, but it was definitely uncomfortable in the moment. Great studio! I got a free trial class through ClassPass and was super excited to check it out. I was greeted by Emily who was very welcoming and gave me a tour of the studio. The place is clean and spacious - they have a workout class with a mirror wall, a "props" room, lockers for your stuff, and you can even rent a mat and a towel for a nominal fee is you ever forget to bring yours. I attended a Power Yoga class with Robert, which was just fantastic - it combined classical yoga asanas with strength exercises. It's next day and my muscles are pleasantly sore, while my mind is pleasantly relaxed :) I was a novice there and found some poses challenging - and Robert kindly stepped in to show me less intense modifications. The only factor that I didn't know beforehand is that the classroom is heated. And while I got an amazing workout and sweated out what feels like 2 pounds of water, I wanted to find a studio to work out during my lunch hour, and this would be challenging for obvious reasons Overall, if someone is looking for a hot yoga studio, YogaSix will one hundred percent make you feel like you got the best out of your session. read more

I came to the 7:30 sculpt class this morning and the teacher never showed up so the class got cancelled. I have two kids and had to get a babysitter to come to the class.... So to say this is a huge disappointment is an understatement. Whoever teaches this class Yogas needs to be FIRED because that is so unprofessional. And not to mention they wouldn't give me my ClassPass credits back... only credits to come back to here to take a class. Yeah, that's not happening. I've enjoyed classes here for over a year, but recently cash and credit cards were stolen from my wallet during class and used for fraudulent charges. The person allegedly responsible had previously worked at the studio and, from what I later learned, had a history of theft. I started going to YogaSix about 3.5 years ago and I keep coming back. I live a very active lifestyle (barbell training, pickleball, etc.), and hot yoga has been such a great tool for staying mobile--plus it's genuinely fun. I especially love Slow Flow and Restore, and TRX is a great add-on too. Evelyn is hands-down my favorite instructor and a big reason I've stayed consistent. YogaSix is located in the same plaza as Trader Joes, Omomo and Smart & Finals off Culver and Walnut. Parking is always terrible. They are like 5 minutes from me so when I saw a class opening on ClassPass I made the mistake of booking it without reading the description. WARNING WARNING HOT YOGA!! If you like hot yoga, this might be the place for you... but not a place for me. As instruction I arrived 15 minute prior to class time to fill out any first time studio paperwork. Pretty standard, but if an online version was available to be filled out it would be even better. Before even trying out my first class, they were immediately PUSHY ON MEMBERSHIP. What a turn off. Membership prices here are ABOVE AVERAGE RELATIVE TO NEARBY YOGA BUSINESSES. Only 4 classes per month for $96 monthly commitment or $146 single location unlimited assess. I know other businesses in the area around $99-125 unlimited classes per month so this is on the high side. There were cubbies to put you belongings in. No cell phones in the studio space, please put your phones on vibrate or off. I liked that there was a water dispense in the lobby, which is much needed since the studio room is hot. From the minute I walked in the studio space I was like uh ohh what did I sign up for? But I stuck with it cause I'm the type of person to follow through, but I really regret it. The instructor forced us to grab 3 pairs of weights. The lowest was a 3 pound and I KNOW that's heavy for me for doing reps and things, but I was forced to grab 3 sets. I grabbed 3s, 5s and 10s... Guess what?? I never used the 5s or the 10s and at the end I had to clean and carry them back. Jeez if you were going to clean them, by all means I'll grab 3 but now it's an INEFFICIENT!! All that traffic from a room full of students returning 3 sets of unwanted weights is annoying. The class was also not very yoga-like. Other reviews warned me of this. The flow was very upbeat probably more similar to Soul Fusion or Pilates and less like Yoga. During class the studio was stinky and stuffy. FULL CAPACITY NO DISTANCING. There were moves where we were endangered of bumping into each other even with attempts to stagger. This would have annoyed me even pre pandemic. The whole time I felt like we would catch Covid from this nasty sauna STINKY room with terrible distancing. My poor yoga mat was contaminated. I threw all of my clothes in the laundry when I got home... and I threw away my new face mask. I was already turned off for pushy sales services and pricing reasons. They made my decision on rating easy because the day after my class, they decide to CALL ME ON A FRIDAY NIGHT asking me about membership. I was like this is NOT an appropriate time to reach out to me and I am NOT INTERESTED!! I feel like everything about my experience was awful and a 3 star is already generous on my part. I took the Slow Flow on a Tuesday night from 8:15-9:15 p.m., and it was nice. Front desk lady was very welcoming and made signing in very easy. It was digital so no paperwork. Parking was easy since Trader Joe's next door closes at 9 p.m. (I believe?), but I can see how if I came to an earlier evening class how parking could be tougher to find. But, if you want to shop after, it has Trader Joe's, Smart & Final, Omomo, Chronic Tacos, Blaze Pizza, etc., so the location isn't too bad. It was heated. There were 20 people in that class, so they pack you in tight. There's only one studio room, so it's a smaller studio compared to Core Power. The instructor, Marcie, was super duper sweet. She was kind and genuinely wanted to make sure my experience there was nice. She got me a mat (because mine wasn't the right type, too thick and cushiony) and showed me the props room where you get your blocks, etc. When everyone has their eyes closed toward the beginning, she asks the class if they don't want hands-on assists to raise their hand. I don't mind them because I want to have correct form to not hurt myself, the more help the better, in my opinion. The pace was slow which I appreciated because I'm a beginner. I'm still not used to the heat, but they provide little cold washcloths with Eucalyptus oil! That definitely saved me. I love those! Studio and bathroom were clean. No showers. There is a water dispenser to fill your bottle water which is awesome. If you love yoga, definitely try them out! read more

Who forgets that their body needs some relaxation from time to time? 100% guilty. Taking a class at YogaSix reminded me of how much I actually loved and missed the feeling yoga gave me compared to the intense work outs I sometimes do (keyword, sometimes hahah) So, I chose to go back to beginner mode & took a "slow flow" class in a warmed room. I personally liked the pace of this class because it gave me the opportunity to really explore all the postures the instructor demonstrated and pushed me to focus on the fluidity of each movement. Safety wise, I feel like I've had a different experience than most reviews on here. Almost everyone had their masks on & there was a limited capacity of 6 per class. All in all, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the studio & how friendly the staff + other fellow yogis were. It's no surprise they've remained open for this long during the pandemic. Its unfair for me and others as well, as i always come early for a class, then some people come in like exactly 7pm just to squezze me and block my spot, some people are actually in front of me and my face is in their ass when doin camel pose, (late people) and my hand touches someone side by side due to its become too tigth, it should be 7 max person per row, its un-aceptable if 8 person per row. also its not healthy as well inhaling all the sweat and breath of others. I used to go to yoga six in Irvine last year, and it was fine - very expensive, but fine. Nevertheless, I stopped going because an instructor kept touching me - regardless of the fact that I asked her (Lyna A) to not do so, two classes straight. I complained. Nothing happened. I asked to cancel. Nothing happened. Eventually I texted and they said to email to "give notice," and I never heard back. If I get charged again I'm taking legal action. Don't go here! It's not worth it! And I don't like my personal space being violated by someone. To be clear, my experience at Yoga six stopped me wanting to practice for six months - the literal opposite of what you'd think they'd want to do. Update: they texted me the following but only after I responded to a text where they asked for a yelp review - yes in the same conversation in which I had complained. Here's what they said. We have taken care of the situation. We can't apologize enough for your experience and haven't had an incident since. We are so sorry this happened at our studio. I've been here for about 3 months now and just want to say thank you to all the staff and instructors for being phenomenal humans and creating a (literally) warm and welcoming atmosphere for people to get lost in. The facility is always clean and everyone including the other students is so friendly and super helpful. I didn't expect to sign up for a pass when I did my first lesson but I was instantly obsessed and now could not imagine life without these classes. The later night slow flow and restore classes have been the ones I've attended the most so the quality of sleep I've gotten the last few months has been life changing, if you live in the area and have been thinking about trying it out like I was for like 2 years before actually doing it please just do it!!!! read more

This is the worst membership agreement you can have with a group fitness. the management team is extremely hostile and aggressive with customers and will still continue to charge you after cancellation. They require a 30 day notice of cancellation even if you are not in the location of the studio. Classes don't easily transfer studio locations and make the experience extremely difficult on the customer. Overall this is the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a group membership. read more

I just got back from YogaSix; I signed up for a Slow Flo class taught by the instructor Waler H... Firstly, the class describes the class as a " slow downed pace" and "easily accessible" Walter approached me several times before class letting it known to me know how strenuous the practice was. He did not know me and my abilities; I felt discriminated against. I walk with a limp due to an injury, and from years of teaching and taking yoga I know how powerful the energy created by the teacher can make a profound difference. I left at the beginning of the class when he started to settle us into our practice with news about his Instagram account UGH! Big fail from the management! Leave your ego at the door Walter, and it takes more than a 200 hr certifications to make a yoga teacher worthy of leading. read more

On July 7th 2021 the general manager Jenna text messaged me about a $50 unlimited month offer and I agreed to it via text. I came almost everyday of the 30 day month and tried to maximize the offer. I enjoyed the sculpt classes and vinyasa flows, and the teachers were nice. This is unfortunately not a review for the teachers, although I'm sorry because I did enjoy some of the classes. This is about how Jenna never told me the $50 membership then turned into a reoccurring monthly payment of $146, without even notifying me that I would be enrolled as a full time member. Had I known, maybe I would have attended classes even ONCE during the subsequent three months I was charged before I noticed it on my cc bill. When I called Jenna to ask her about it she was incredibly unhelpful and actually quite snarky about it, telling me that she signed me up and she was "pretty sure" she told me the policy. She then didn't offer any way to move forward except to tell me that if I canceled for the current month, I could have 8 classes passes to use (that I paid for because she wouldn't refund me a single solitary cent for the three months of unlimited classes I didn't know I was paying for). I feel like she could have offered an option to pay the classes forward or bring a friend, or something to offset the loss but she basically said "sucks to suck" and hung up on me. I contacted her again after checking my interactions with her and when I had the receipts of what she said when signing me up, and she never responded. In the attached text message she never said anything about it converting to a full price monthly membership after the month was over - why else would I go from attending every single day to never coming but paying 3x the price? So needless to say I do not recommend this studio and it's super sketchy anti-yoga practices. Yoga should be about being mindful and considerate and kind, and I can't recommend this studio in good faith that they might take advantage of other people this way. YogaSix is close and I liked that they had multiple locations, so I took up their Instagram offer for a free first class. Girls at the front desk are nice (the only reason I'm not giving this place 0 stars). The ambiance is cute, but it stops there. I love hot yoga and took their "hot" class cause it's supposedly high intensity, but this was not a workout whatsoever. I was told this was supposed to be intense, and maybe it is for really, really out of shape people. I wasn't going to post a review until now because I paid for another class cause the girl at the front desk was super sweet and recommended me trying a sculpt class, but paying for a class to a studio with limited options for an athletic person is a waste of time, so I properly cancelled the class DAYS before. I did not receive a refund for weeks, so I called to no avail, and then emailed. A person responded in 30 mins asking me if I wanted to reschedule, I declined and wanted a refund. I emailed the manager per the instructions and have not received a response in 2 days. Essentially, they're quick at taking your money but radio silent when it comes to returning it, which seems to be a common after reading the reviews. I honored their cancellation policy by cancelling early, but they still don't refund me promptly? Bliss! If there's one thing I've learned about yoga, it's that your experience can be like night and day depending on the teacher and the style of class he/she prefers to lead. My teacher was Henry and he kicked my ASS (in a good way)!!! The movements, progressions, transitions, combinations, breath, meditation, music were all very good. Walter maintained the momentum of the class through the entire 60 minutes and he still managed to give very detailed instruction. I typically burn 390-420 calorie at yoga and tonight I burned 478 calorie at my first class at Yoga Six. What also make Yoga Six studio very unique is that Yoga Six offers variety of classes; Yoga 101, Sculpt & Flow, Power, Stretch, Hot and Slow Flow. I am hoping that the management keep the variety as most of the competitor Yoga studios tends not to offer stretch and the slow flow. Sculpt & Flow was my 1st class and Walter made it a challenging class for me. Based on the intensity and quality of instruction, I intend to fully use my membership at Yoga Six. I believe that this place adhere to high standard and classes offer great workout quality. So far, my experience in general has been very positive: The booking system, friendly check-in people, studio quality, class variety, and affordable prices, etc. - Yoga Six has been extremely positive overall. In the past six months, I have tried three yoga studios; two of these studios have got a 4 and 5 stars respectively and one studio at three stars. I would have given a 5 star rating... but my favorite instructor Walter H, is suddenly no longer teaching at yoga 6 in Irvine. While I like the other teachers, Walter H. was a standout. His sculpt classes were challenging and effective, and taught with an intensity that I cannot find anywhere else. (Lyna's sculpt classes are wonderful too,.. but they are on a little different level). Walters Hot, Flow and Restore classes were all a cut above what the other teachers would do, he was amazing, and he changed up his curriculum, and it was NEVER boring and ALWAYS challenging. This review is long overdue. I began my yoga journey when the Y6 Irvine location opened in Oct 2019. This is a great studio. Great for beginners but still challenging for more advanced students. This is a hot yoga studio, so be prepared to sweat...a lot. But the heat is not as intense as Bikram yoga. Front Desk - One word: Competent. AND friendly (ok, 2 words). People whom you want to become best friends with. All Instructors - All of the instructors are wonderful at breaking down each pose and will give options to amp up or down your workout. There is no judgment. As one of my favorite instructors says repeatedly, "It's not a competition" Each instructor also puts their own flair to each their flows. Instructor Leslie: You'll recognize Leslie by her silky southern accent. Wonderful wonderful instructor. Excellent at breaking down the poses, so even the most uncoordinated of students will suddenly find themselves in the pose. Leslie will challenge your flexibility and will sometimes throw in something new, which I appreciate. Also, just a fun and sassy person. Love her. Instructor Walter: Walter will challenge your strength and endurance. Also, a wonderful instructor who listens to students' feedback and modifies his flows accordingly. Walter used to be one of the more challenging instructors, if not the most, but due to feedback, has modified his flows to be more restorative. This can be good or bad, depending on my energy level that day. Instructor Marcie: Marcie used to teach the 101 class but now teaches the other formats. She is excellent at breaking down the poses into its fundamental parts. Super patient and very encouraging. I highly recommend for beginners. Instructor Kylan: Kylan will challenge your strength. She prioritizes alignment, making sure you don't overextend ligaments and injuring yourself. Kylan also takes requests before each class. So if you want to focus on certain body parts, she will accommodate. Instructor Nicole: Nicole is the epitome of slow flow. Her voice, her movements, her flow format. You will leave class feeling so melty. Instructor Samantha: Samatha is new and I've only taken a few of her classes. So far so good. She's very upbeat and is the perfect instructor for the Power class. The bathrooms are also fully stocked! I may or may not have stolen a hairband once or twice. read more

A few months ago I set out to find my perfect yoga studio and I'm so happy that it's YogaSix! I checked out so many other places in Irvine, Tustin, and even Costa Mesa and I can definitely say that the staff, yoga instructors, and studio amenities at YogaSix are the very best in the area! The most important thing to me was finding a studio that could accommodate my 8-5 work schedule and YogaSix has both in person and virtual classes that start at 5:30 or even at 7. I've tried every class they offer-- from TRX, sculpt, hot yoga, etc. and they all provide such a great workout! With my availability, I usually take classes taught by Marcie, Walter, and Leslie and all three of them are so knowledgeable and inspiring. As someone that came to this studio with little to no yoga experience... it was daunting to try something new. But the patience, kindness, and knowledge that each of these instructors consistently provides in each class has empowered me to come to yoga on a daily basis and I've fallen in love with yoga because of them! read more

I live in Salt Lake City, UT and go to classes at the studio in UT. In December 2023, I bought a package of classes in UT. When I reviewed my card statement, I saw two charges, one for the studio in Irvine and one for the studio in Salt Lake City. I contacted my local studio and they said that i had to contact the Irvine studio. I called the studio and spoke to Sydney. She gave me email addresses of the managers. I contacted them and sent them all the evidence. They did respond via email and wanted to speak to me by phone. I provided my number but they never called me. They owe me $227.88. After not hearing from them, I contacted my credit company and disputed the charge. The studio has not responded to my dispute. I have no idea how I was charged other than my credit card is in the yoga six system. I want my money back. I am extremely disappointed how they have handled this situation. Very unprofessional. However, they had never mentioned when we could cancel the membership upon signing up. Most yoga studios here in OC have a 7-15 day notice for cancellation so I assumed the same here. Not here.... when asked if we could cancel due to lack of time, the GM informed me the cancellation notice is 30 days. That means... the DAY you sign up you have to also inform them you want to cancel your membership. This is absurd... why would you want to cancel your membership, you haven't even tried taking any of the classes yet! You don't even know if you like it or not! This also means on the second day of your membership, you are already set up for your second month and payment. If you try to cancel after the first week, the GM will tell you "she cannot because the system won't let her". The GM however informed me she can downgrade my membership for one more month and cancel then but then...calls me saying she got confused with the company policy and cannot downgrade anymore. It's sad because I actually really really enjoyed the people and the yoga instructors here, especially Leslie for her Hot yoga. Pros: Studio is chic, clean, front desk always nice. I like Walters classes a lot. His style is straight forward. He doesn't do hands on corrections in the classes I've taken , which I prefer. It's not needed as he demos and has great verbal cues. Great meditation music, he even vibes with the lights during classes. Cons: I've taken Marcie's classes and almost quit the studio. Her music is 90s radio like oasis Her slow flow and restorative classes are...confusing, and not slow. She will have you doing chaturangas to "get some work before the stretches." Some people want power yoga, they have classes for that. But I worked out all week, I'm here for deep stretching!!! She does hands on corrections if you want, however. Maybe she's just not my vibe. Memberships/pricing: If you buy a membership, it's difficult to cancel (30 days before). They will also text incessantly. Very pushy tactics. I switched to buying class packages and it's been amazing for me. They will work with you on the expiration, they even threw in a free class in my last package. Parking is a nightmare. Get here early to get the spot you want in class. Most evening classes fill up, mornings are lighter. Yes it's a busy studio. That's every yoga studio I've been to. If you want a smaller class, do reformer Pilates. Overall I really like this studio! read more
