First of all, I like their Henrietta location way better than Greece. I feel like Henrietta has been more consistent with orders (especially when a certain item is my go to, I notice that it is typically tender here). I usually order the Steak-Bacon and Bleu salad, because it has good substance, and the balance in flavors between sweet and savory just meshes well. I enjoy the tomato soup, and the Chicken Caesar as well. The Broccoli Cheddar soup is pretty dense, but sometimes the broccoli is too crunchy. They currently have a special on the thai chicken rice noodle bowl. It has a nice balanced flavor of spice, and is extremely filling. My favorite lemonade is the Cranberry Cayenne, and I like to mix it with some of the Beet Lemonade. I never go without ordering a drink because it is just too good. The Cranberry Cayenne has such a nice little kick to it. The booths are cozy, and the cafeteria style layout is friendly for people with dietary restrictions. *They don't carry hot coffee, only iced. read more

Tried CoreLife for the first time today. Had some good recommendations from a couple friends and Yelp. I was SERIOUSLY disappointed and dissatisfied. The soup bowl was totally bland, except for a hot spice flavor. No beef flavor and the pieces of meat were tough and bland. The sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts were burnt and I paid $3 each for tiny little extra side dishes of them that had about a half a cup of each. And we couldn't eat them. The bowls were mediocre at best, and the ones with sweet potatoes or brussel sprouts were spoiled by the burnt flavor. The only thing that tasted ok was the Spicy Thai Chicken bowl. To top it off, I ordered sides of bread and they weren't wrapped up at all. I live 45 minutes away (in the country) and by the time I got home, the bread was already dried out. So I'm guessing it wasn't all that fresh to start with. I also ordered all dressing and sauces on the side. There was no dressing or sauce in my bag. To sum things up... it was a waste of $55 and I even left a tip when I paid online. We had to open cans of soup for dinner. Progresso tasted better than CoreLife Eatery. I am very upset. Very much like your standard Corelife Eatery. I came because I wanted something healthy and didn't have much time, and they're typically pretty quick here. I got the spicy chicken grain bowl, which came with kale, broccoli, the grains and chicken and dressing. It was a nice balance of textures--you had some crispy and some soft, and the dressing to add flavor. Overall, it didn't exactly blow me away. You can tell that it's sort of thrown together, and if you're into that sort of thing, then great. However I feel like it makes a difference when food is thoughtfully and carefully flavored and prepared. This is my third time here because I wanted to give it an honest try (because it's healthy!) but I somehow always leave disappointed. Went here for lunch today. Place is open and clean. I got the siracha ginger tofu salad which has well seasoned tofu cubes, siracha marinated bean sprout, broccoli, kale and baby spinach as the base. It was so good with the recommended sauce that goes with this preset salad menu. It definitely has a kick to it so for those of you who cannot handle a little bit of heat, you should probably stay away. My friend got the chicken broth noodle soup - also a preset menu item. The broth tastes homemade and not from a can. I would not recommend the juice though. We tried the cayenne pepper lemonade and it is SOOOOOO sweet. i was a little disappointed at how much sugar must be in this drink given the branding of this store is for healthy eatery. Updated! I have been pleasantly surprised that my original dissatisfaction had taken a significant turn for the better. Service was notably above and beyond, even from someone who is has high hopes when it comes to customer service. An example is my online order wasn't ready because they realized the tofu wasn't fresh, so they made more. Genuinely apologized, and offered me a drink while I waited. Had lunch here today for the first time. I have been hearing rave reviews about this place and their bowls for months and I was very excited to have a bevy of super-healthy options available to select from, and for the most part they were....and I might be a little too harsh here with the 3 stars, but here is my experience: First, the pros: 1. I love the fact that you can 'make' your own 'anything' by choosing exactly what you want to include or omit. This is probably what I would do every time (as opposed to buying any of their combos on the board). Today I had a 'Greens Bowl': my two greens were fresh spinach and arugula; my four veggies were Kalamata olives (slices), bean sprouts, raw broccoli and chick peas; I also added avocado, grass-fed beef, bacon and cheese, and topped it off with oil and vinegar dressing. Everything was fresh and my salad tasted delicious. 2. The place is clean, fast/efficient, and very affordable for fresh, organic options. They also have nice outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Now the cons: 1. Every single pre-made salad dressing contains sugar. Really? Is honey or agave or stevia necessary for a vinaigrette? I was really bothered by this, as unnecessary sugars in our food are one of the 'hidden toxins' we are already getting too much of. I could see having a few dressings with sugar, like a honey mustard or something, but I think there should be at least a couple totally sugar-free options. Because of this I chose oil and vinegar as the dressing for my salad...which brings me to problem #2. 2. They only have one kind of oil: canola. WHO USES CANOLA OIL ON A SALAD?? Not me. I was kind of grossed out, but since all the other dressings had sugar, I had to pick my poison. I expected them to have a selection of oils, such as extra-virgin olive oil, avocado oil and maybe even sesame oil. But no choice here. Another disappointment. 3. While the variety of add-on veggies is a true rainbow with options like corn, carrots, beets, various beans, all of these are carb-heavy or sugary. The only things I saw that were not high carb were scallions, celery, bean sprouts, broccoli and olives. And if you are on a very low carb diet, are diabetic (or pre-diabetic, like me) or are trying to follow the Ketogenic diet, that's not much to choose from. What about adding riced cauliflower, leeks, zoodles (zucchini noodles), cucumbers? (To be fair, their website says they should have cauliflower, mushrooms, cucumbers and various kinds of onions, they just weren't available today when I was in.) 4. The healthy grains they have as options are limited to wild rice and quinoa, and as they are a gluten-free place, the noodles in the broth bowls are rice noodles. Rice and rice noodles are both super high carb, so again, not something I could consume. Other grains wouldn't fit here, such as farro, barley, bulgar wheat, etc because those all contain gluten. But what about quinoa pasta noodles?? I realize I am being super picky here, but for those of you very concerned with overconsuming unnecessary sugars or high carbs in your salad or broth bowl, these are some things to think about. For example: select a salad bowl with corn, carrots, beets and chick peas, with a protein and a salad dressing, and you have probably just tripled your recommended sugar intake for the day. Yikes! Despite all of this, I will go back because this place is clean, cheap, fast and they are really trying to provide good options.... but it will probably only be when I am in the mood for close to the exact salad I had today, and probably with my own dressing in tow. read more

This is a chain that I'm not familiar with. Listen I like the idea of this place. All organic, clean food, no soda, they give you the calories of the food and etc. it's easy to get to and plenty of parking. I went on line to look at the menu. Basically it's like Chipotle in it's set up, you look at the menu board, you go thru the line and etc. Thing is I think it might be slightly confusing if you don't know what is offered and how it goes together so I ordered a Chicken Cobb Salad. FYI they have a list of additional things to add to your Salads, Grains, Bone Broths and etc. The additional things come at a cost and it varies from $1.25-4 for Extra Steak. When I got my salad and ordered my drink(you can try different lemonade's, ice teas and juices.)They offer you a piece of bread if you like but what do you put on it? Everything is made in front of you but its carefully calibrated you will not get a lot of protein but it's all organic and antibiotic free so you get what you pay for. My salad was $8.45 with my add on of Gorgonzola of $1.25 and my drink it was $2.50 or whatever my lunch was about $14.00. Was it worth it yes cause it was clean and I felt good, but no I would not recommend going every day for lunch it would be cheaper to make your own lunch. I recommend the Beet Lemonade it was interesting and tasty. So I give this place about a 3.5 it's clean food but I won't make it a habit and unless someone says to me "Hey let's go." I won't go outta my way. But if you have never been Go once. It large, airy but a line but it moves fast. Cheers! read more

Great food options, but service is going downhill fast. Severe disorganization. I hate being one of those customers who watches employees like a hawk, but if you don't, you will NOT get what you ordered. Zero communication from one stage of food assembly to the next. You are asked at the beginning if you want a certain protein for your meal. That information does not travel to where it needs to be. Maybe you're asked later in the process, but usually you're not. Food is thrust at you with barely any comment at all, and if you have to remind the servers that they forgot something you ordered, there's a lot of huffing and puffing about it. As much as I love the food, my last several experiences have been like this, and it's a big turnoff. read more

Love, love LOVE this place! Finally, a healthy celiac friendly place to go to grab a bite of lunch with a friend or something quick for a running errands during the day pitstop. I tried this out last summer and LOVE it - despite a long line, it moved quickly and staff was super helpful/friendly with answering questions and ensuring me there was NO risk of cross contamination (bread is kept at the register away from all other items). I did a custom salad order - since most of the pre-made's had items I couldn't eat in it - I was FULL for HOURS after my salad, which was amazing by the way, since they toss it with the dressing so each bite is evenly coated, and I love the variety of toppings they have to choose from. I got Baby spinach, romaine, kale, arugula, mesclun as my greens with quinoa, and you can add up to four ingredients so I chose cucumber, tomato, and peppers and decided to be "premium" and add avocado and chicken for protein. Off the top of my head I cannot remember the dressing - but they did have gluten free and dairy free options! read more

I went here for dinner and decided to go for a green bowl. My choice was the sriracha ginger tofu salad. I substituted the tofu with spicy chicken, got the suggested dressing which was a carrot chilli vinaigrette and this salad was amazing. I am not really a big fan of kale but in this salad I didn't mind it at all. When I was done with my salad I wanted to go back for more because it was so good. Worst CoreLife location I've ever been to. Built my own bowl with kale quinoa and other veggies. The kale was brown at every end, quinoa was hardened because it sat too long, there was a fully rotten tomato that was brown on the inside. They were nice enough to give me a refund when asked but I was also very unimpressed by the staff. They moved extremely slow though there were very few customers to serve, the one at the register was wearing soiled gloves, and the one flipping meat on the grill was bare handed. Overall poor experience. Store seemed poorly managed. Wish I took photos of the food it was appalling. read more

I was pleasantly surprised about this place. It is a little expensive for what you get though. The bowls seem big, but raw vegies like kale will take up most of it. The service is quick which is good for lunch times. I got one of their pre-assembled bowls, noodle with miso ginger dressing and steak as my meat. As predicted, you don't get much steak. The noodles were cooked well, the veggies were fresh. The thing that makes this dish is the dressing! I would definitely buy a bottle of this if it were sold. Unfortunately the person I talked to said since their sauces don't have preservatives they cannot bottle them. I also had a taste of my friend's quinoa bowl with tofu and siracha dressing. This was my second attempt at core life. My first time was my first experience with a broth bowl and I was not a fan! It really turned me off for the spot even though they have a message I can get behind. I have been carrying a gift card for about 6 months now and after a great workout at the gym, I went for it. I always loved Core life Eatery until yesterday. Had not been there in a couple of years and I took 3 others out to lunch there. The pictures of what to order are beautiful and mouth watering, however, the food we got did not look anything like what we saw. The helpings of our broth bowls were skimpy and they were out of peppers and onions and did not ask if we wanted replacements. We only had one small spoon of rice. We ordered the large broth bowls and they came in a small plastic container. My bill was 94$ and we were still hungry. On top of it all upon checking our bill we found they had over charged us for 3 drinks. We were very disappointed and will not go back. I went here for my lunch break for the first time today. I ordered a spicy tuna bowl with rice noodles and it was not very good. The flavor was good, but there was about a inch of liquid in the bottom of my bowl which made it gross to me. It turned out to be like a cold soup with spicy noodles. I think they need to strain the ingredients better prior to adding them. I didn't make it half way through the dish before I tossed it out and grabbed ramen from our vending machine at work. If I had the time I would've gone back to show them, but I didn't. So I paid $16 for lunch I could not eat. read more

We had a multi-person order for lunch delivery and they didn't include one person's lunch in our order. When we called to see if they could send it, we were told we needed to call back after 3 pm and it would be taken care of. We were told that they were too busy and they couldn't look up who the driver was. They also told us that we could send someone to the restaurant and they would give us our order. We ordered take out for a reason. The manager was rude and actually hung up on us the first time we called. They did not offer to rectify this situation. Love CoreLife for a lunch spot. Their food is really delicious, filling, and healthy. You can order off their menu or customize pretty much anything to your liking. For the broth bowls I recommend adding sriracha. Some of my favorite picks are the fire tuna poke grain bowl, the ginger beef broth bowl, and the Korean pork bowl (big enough for two meals!) I have noticed that if you dine-in, your servings are generally larger than taking it to-go. Their salads are great and always pretty large and filling. Their beet lemonade always hits the spot. The most noticeable thing about Corelife I appreciate is the friendly staff who work here. That seems to be rare in the fast casual food and I hope they don't lose their friendliness over time. The food is always fresh - except the bread which seems to be stale 9/10 times. I love the steak, bacon and bleu cheese salad - so much flavor and it's extra delicious subbing quinoa in for the normal walnuts. I usually stick to water, but it feels like Christmas when I have had their unique juices on tap. So delicious!! Similar to so many places now days you place a base order and then add ingredients to your salad as you move down the line. It was pretty cool actually, they put all your ingredients in a big metal bowl, then at the end someone mixes the salad so it's fresh. Pretty neat. Also there's likely more healthy food on the line than in 10 square miles surrounding it. Food, okay Salad was excellent, and I will be back. I really do give this place 5 stars. It's a beautiful, clean building with very friendly and FAST service (unlike chipotle). Then the food. I am a very picky salad eater and I am absolutely addicted to the ginger steak salad with miso sesame dressing and Sriracha. I have eaten this no less than 6 or 7 times in the month they've been open. It is a wonderful go-to to for a healthy, fast meal. Core Life is essentially a healthy fresh restaurant that offers food off a menu or a custom menu. I really enjoy their spicy chicken and ancient grains bowl. It's outstanding. UPDATE: If you are in the Rochester area, my recommendation would be to go to the CoreLife in Greece rather than Henrietta. I have been to CoreLife a total of 3 times: twice in Henrietta and once in Greece. My experience at Greece was good - the food and service were both very good. In Henrietta, I had a poor experience both times. The first time, the person behind the counter forgot to put several things in my dish, but luckily I was reading the ingredients right off the menu and was able to catch her and ask her to make my bowl the right way. The second time, I got the Thai Chicken bowl which was so doused in dressing that it was difficult to eat. I also ordered it because it had cilantro (which I love, and many bowls on their menu include Cilantro). The person behind the counter did not put cilantro on the dish. When I asked the woman behind the register if I could get some, she said they didn't have any left. I asked her to check the cooler and she came back and told me they did not have any. Thinking this was ridiculous because so many of the bowls on their menu include the herb, I asked "you are completely out?" and she very rudely said with an attitude, "well if you want me to chop some, it's gonna be a minute." I was flabbergasted. Of course I want you to chop some - I am the customer who ordered a dish that specifically included cilantro per your menu! And I bet some of the people behind me ordered a bowl that included cilantro as well! Anyway, I told her to forget it and asked for a cup for water a SECOND time, and got out of there. read more

Tried this for dinner last night, and was impressed with the way the layout is - all the fresh veg ready to go, you choose your salad bowl, grain bowl or broth bowl base. Hub and I both got broth base - he got bone broth, I got chicken broth. In both cases the broth is really underseasoned and not hot enough to feel like soup when you sit to eat it. I suppose you could say it was room temp and that means you could shovel it down. But i like the warmth of soup, esp on a night like last night when it was freezing rain. Just adding some aromatics and herbs and maybe a tiny bit more salt would make their broth wonderful. I'll definitely give this place another chance. I bet the salad and grain bowls are delish. And plenty of seating and space. It's way bigger that you'd suspect from the outside. Very friendly staff, even took the time to find out what was in one of the drink mixes - I'm on a very oddly restrictive diet at the moment (no citrus, which is what i was looking to discover in the one drink). I hope they consider opening one of these downtown. We need a fresh and quick option. read more

Where to begin.. Every thing about this place is great. Core Life is superb! I used to always go to the Webster location, but I much prefer this location. Food is wonderful, staff is excellent, everything is very clean and I love the atmosphere. I can't really think of any complaints. The staff is excellent and they really pay attention to the details. The girls who made my food were super friendly and really on top of things. I was very impressed. Also, they actually seemed like they wanted to be there. The atmosphere is very modern, clean and spacious. I had the greens & ancients grains bowl which was delicious! Everything at Core Life is delicious. It may be a little pricey, but you are paying for healthy and fresh food! Be sure to try their fresh juices too. I really like the cucumber lemonade. Can't wait to go back! read more
