I can't believe I've never tried CoreLife before. I ordered online, which was quick and super easy, and got the pick two with a regular spicy thai chicken and rice noodle bowl and a side of roasted sweet potatoes. Honestly, I was impressed. It is such a nice change to have a healthier option that is packed with superfoods in a world full of fast food and additives. The regular bowl was a great portion, enough for dinner and even leftovers for lunch the next day. I also love that you can customize their signature bowls or build your own from scratch. The only thing I noticed was that my bowl seemed a little light on the chicken and toppings. It ended up being mostly rice noodles and napa cabbage, which was fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of the other ingredients. The spicy broccoli I added was amazing though, so I wish there had been more of that. The roasted sweet potatoes were exactly what I wanted. They tasted like a Thanksgiving side dish in the best way. The only minor thing was that the ones on top were a bit dried out compared to the ones underneath, so maybe an extra drizzle of the cinnamon glaze once they are in the container would make them perfect. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, which I always appreciate. The price for my pick two was $16, which is a little steep, but you are paying for fresh, healthier food and the portions are big enough for leftovers. I was slightly intimidated by the menu. "Purple Rice Bowls", "Green Bowls", "Broth Bowls". It seemed like some weird color coded Pho spot. But after reading the descriptions I got the idea. Felt like a dummy overcomplicating it. I got a Buffalo Southwest Chicken rice bowl and a cup of tomato basil soup with a lemonade to wash it down. I had absolutely no idea what toppings to put on the bowl but the cook suggested the ingredients. Chicken was put on the grill in front of my eyes and splashed with hot sauce. It works like a Moe's or Subway - everything is assembled in front of you. Lunch came to $20 which is steep but everything is quality. The bowl was unlike anything I've eaten before. Every texture you could possibly put in your moth hole. Hot & cold. Crunch from the southwest chips, perfectly cooked chicken, spicy hot sauce. And the entire rainbow was in this bowl appealing to the eyes. Purple rice is cool. Tomato soup was thickkk. Very rich and tasty. And who doesn't love a house-made lemonade. They have tons of wacky and fun flavors. I was only able to eat half my bowl and soup. I was super full. Low on calories but high on nutrition. Even though I'm on a strict austerity budget, I am able to justify an occasional splurge here because they have SOOOO MANY SUPERFOODS that are ALWAYS AVAILABLE & many are free to add to your order. These are superfoods you could purchase on your own but they are very costly & are often sold in quantities that make it difficult to get your money's' worth. Their online pre-ordering process is very simple on the full-fledged website, however ordering the app has been a negative experience for me, as they have lost my previous orders and technical glitches often will not allow you to checkout with your order. Curbside pickup is available to be extra COVID cautious. Parking lot has a reserved space with a phone number to dial when you arrive. Good spot to build your own bowl, with plenty of vegan options. I stopped for a quick lunch. They have a couple of vegan options, or you can build your own bowl. I did the latter -- a large bowl for roughly $11.50. You get to pick 2 bases (I got purple rice and kale), 5 toppings, plus a protein (I got tofu), and a dressing. I've had people recommend CoreLife to me on many occasions and while I have been there before, I mixed up my bowl with all the many different options available and the end result wasn't all that great. My own combination just didn't work! Armed with a Half-Off Any Bowl coupon though, I took others' advice and went back to try a different bowl. And kept it exactly as recommended by the server behind the counter. I chose the Thai Spicy Chicken Noodle Bowl. It looked pretty good. A nice variety of Ingredients, to say the least. The Napa Cabbage was cut a little large - more as if for kimchi than a salad, in my opinion - but it was an ok presentation. As for taste, the important thing is that I could taste the spice. It was there and it was warm (although making sure I had a good sense of the flavor profile, did add my own hot sauce as well. I would have preferred a little more heat.) A little disappointing though was the noodles. It felt as though I had to dig through the salad to find them, and when I did they didn't give much flavor and were overcooked by just a couple minutes. The whole thing presented itself as a western salad pretending to be a Thai noodle bowl and not doing it all that well. The whole thing came across... "ok". Not exciting or too adventurous (for my tastes; others might find the spice just right) and I did eat the entire bowl so that should say something, I suppose. It was good enough that I'd recommend anyone try it if they've been considering stopping in. It might take some time longer before I go back though. read more

This spot was a great place to go after my vaccine shot as I wanted something healthy and quick to make sure my body was well nourished. I definitely was pleased with the food as I ordered the chicken chipotle broth - which had a crazy amount of flavor and fresh ingredients like spinach, purple rice, corn, black beans, roasted peppers/onions, grilled chicken, cilantro and tortilla strips!! I would say it was a little on the spicy side so you have to like that kick. My mom got a kale Caesar chicken salad which had grilled chicken, shredded kale and chopped romaine, parmesan crisps (which my mom has never had and was intrigued asking how they made them as she wants to try making them at home next time she makes a salad lol), tomatoes with a choice of dressing. My mom didn't know what dressing to get so the woman was so kind to offer her two options to use. Also the drinks was great having such a variety to be able to try craft made beverages. I also really liked that they have a app download option to get $5 off the next purchase once you verify and open an account. I was so happy when I heard CoreLife was coming to the southtowns. I've heard some people compare it to chipotle but I don't think that is accurate at all. They use wholesome ingredients and offer "standard" food options as well as a build-your-own option. My favorite is the thai noodle bowl which is perfect for someone craving thai food but trying to watch their carb intake because it's half noodles/half salad, 100% delicious! It's so nice to have another healthy option in the southtowns! Especially one that clearly labels their dressings and most things as DF/Vegan (everything on their menu is GF). My only complaint about that is they didn't label the soups or sides in the line and when I asked it took a few minutes for the employees to find out if there was dairy in anything. Since it was our first time visiting, we went with some of the recommended bowls. I got the sriracha ginger tofu & ancient grains bowl (vegan as prepared). I should have asked for a bit less sriracha as it was a tad too spicy for me when finished with the carrot chili vinaigrette. The tofu was roasted nicely, but had no discernible flavor on its own. The broccoli was tasty, beets and carrots were barely noticeable, and there didn't seem to be any ginger in my bowl. I tried the pick 2/combo meal and got a small cup of vegetarian chili as staff told me that was the only dairy free soup on the menu. It was ok, but I'm not a huge chili fan and probably wouldn't get it again. My BF got the Korean BBQ pork bowl and loved it. He really enjoyed the purple rice they used (which is full of antioxidants, to boot!), not to mention the kimchi and fried egg. We tried the honey ginger lemonade and the tropical green tea but they were just ok. Now that we're more familiar with the options there, next time we'll build our own bowls. Definitely worth a visit here! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the seating area was very clean, and our meals were served on REAL plates with REAL silverware, cutting down on what ends up in the landfill. That's a win for me! The only things holding me back from 5 stars are no labeling of the sides/soups and them having only 3 vegan options on the core menu (there's many more options on the build-your-own menu, but not everyone is comfortable with that). I know those are small things to some, but for those of us that can't eat dairy, it makes a huge difference! read more

Healthy, fast, trendy eating chain. I have been here a few times and the staff is always nice and helpful with selections and altering menu items according to your taste or diet restrictions. Last time I was here, I got the Thai Chicken Bowl which was full of flavor but perhaps a bit too spicy cause my stomach was gurgling like crazy after it. Perhaps, they should have a warning so people like me who gravitate towards things like that but have sensitive stomachs can say "Go light on the sauce or peppers". Portions are a reasonable size for the money! I highly recommend the Low cal Ginger Lemonade! Also check your local paper for coupons (just got one for a free entree with any beverage purchase, Score!) A suggestion ....maybe some more selections with low fat cheese! read more

I chose their broth bowl and customized one with steak, greens, pickled red onion, sweet potato, and sliced almonds.  My favorite was the sweet potato, which was roasted to perfection. I loved that their kids' menu is just small versions of the plates/bowls they offer.  My grandson loved his Power Plate.  We swapped a couple items with no additional charge (rice noodles for purple rice and garbanzo beans for corn). We decided to go to Core Life tonight for dinner and we're pleasantly surprised. We found that meals are now served in two sizes of recycled paper bowls and and that the take out meals were served in the same. Today was my first time here. I ordered food and left with it, since the restaurant currently isn't open, because of the pandemic. There is signage asking that you wear a mask and reminding you about the social distancing. The decor in here is really cool. I ordered a create your own bowl. You can start with different kinds of greens or a quinoa and rice base. I chose the quinoa base. You can add five different veggies and then a topping on top. I added cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs, scallions, broccoli, and tortilla strips. I paid extra to add fresh ahi tuna. They have dressings that are all made from scratch. I also bought a spicy Thai taco. It's on Naan bread. It was small but fantastic. I should have bought two. I think they might be offering them on lettuce wraps soon. I think if they chopped the salad a bit more, this would be a 5/5 review. I bought a beet juice that tasted great. They have many different types of fresh drinks for purchase. The staff was friendly, kind, helpful--when I was trying to figure out what to order--and efficient. I'll return soon to try more of their awesome offerings. read more

Went here on the opening day. Upon checking out, I didn't hear the total of my meal, and was not offered or given a receipt, but thought whatever, never had a problem before. Because I didn't know the total, I asked my friend what he paid once I sat down, since we got the same exact order, and he said $10 and something cents. A few days later, I check my account and was surprised to see that I was charged $13.49. I assume it's because the workers are new and learning the program and someone made a booboo? But still very much not okay. Be sure to get your receipt if you do decide to go here. The food was eh. I had the thai noodles with tofu. I could really only taste the ginger from the sauce and there were maybe five miniscule cubes of tofu, seriously. I kid you not. Nice to have a healthish place to go, but I really think this place is profiting from the new Keto trend, so I assume with their bone broth banners. Personally, I would rather get a veggie bowl from the Chipotle around the corner. I've been meaning to check out Corelife since it's opened it's Hamburg location over the summer. I finally decided to pop in today and see what all the hubbub was about. I always enjoy a place where they have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and the options are clearly labeled. I thought the line was long when I first walked in, but moved along at a good pace. The staff was very friendly and personable. I decided to go with the Sriracha Ginger Tofu and Ancient Grains bowl. I liked that the staff told me exactly what was going into my bowl and asked if i was alright with the ingredients and could watch exactly what they put into it, even grating fresh ginger into my bowl. They also had a nice option of teas and lemonades to choice from and I really liked the uniqueness of the flavors. I went with the Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade. I like things with a little bit of a spicy kick to it, made to order and fresh. They are also eco friendly, my only garbage was the paper from my tray, used napkins and cup. At $12, I thought it was slightly pricey, but not outrageous. I like that there is a healthy option by the mall. There are many cheaper places in the area, but I'll spend the extra few dollars to put some good in my body. I'll definitely stop again for lunch. read more

I am unsure how to rate accordingly because I love the food here! I used to go all the time in Syracuse and was so excited to have one in buffalo. Although, today I found a very sharp piece of metal in my rice bowl. I took the bowl back half eaten to show the manager and to get a refund. I was surprised though at their lack of concern about the metal found in my food which could have been very dangerous and harmful if I ate it. I am disappointed because this is a great place for quick, healthy, and tasty food but worried about the metal that I found which I think might have come from the grill because I had chicken. I am not trying to steer anyone away from this place, just concerned about people's safety and hope the staff that work there will inspect their tools and grill area etc. to make sure it doesn't happen again. read more

I absolutely love how fresh and flavorful all of the ingredients here are. It's a little pricier than some lunch spots but ultimately worth it for the food you get. I've tried the tuna poke, ranch flank steak, and Korean BBQ and theyre all really delicious but the latter two are my go-tos. I also really enjoy their selection of lemonades for $3 and their tomato basil soup. The new try 2 combos are great - a smaller bowl (it's plenty!) and a side or a drink for $8.95. Ordered the spicy Thai chicken and rice noodles. The rice noodles seemed very Al dente. I'm not a rice noodle expert but these seemed not well cooked and carried the flavor associated with undercooked rice. It's mostly noodles so this was disappointing and I wasn't eating in, so returning wasn't something I was willing to do. The salads always look terrific though and the sauces seem good. read more

This is a tough , food was " ok" it's just salad greens, rice , meat and dressings...it is not hard to put together something relatively tasty. The vegetables are all fresh and crisp however the beef a very a strange texture.. almost sponge like. The major issue I have is you're getting about 5 oz of salad and 2 oz of sponge steak for $10 or more than $10 depending on the style of your order. I guess if you want to waste your money being trendy this is a place for you ...otherwise it's a colossal waste of money for something very average. read more

I ordered a pick-up order for 5:30 PM, a build your own broth bowl! I was pretty stoked since this location is closer than the Clarence and Amherst locations. I ordered something that I believed to be pretty standard: bone broth, spicy Thai rice noodles, chicken, and a few different vegetables. The bowl was barely even lukewarm when I went to eat it. It definitely turned me off from the dish as a whole, and then I noticed the broth was sort of... oily? It had a layer of film on top that led me to believe my food had been sitting for awhile before I picked it up. I took a few bites of the bowl before I tossed it out because it just didn't taste great. I'd be willing to try this location again in the future. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I probably would never order take out from CoreLife again. read more

I went to CoreLife to enjoy a lunch all by myself, which I never done before. I sat along the window to enjoy the view and kind of think about my future. Not 20 seconds later, my experience came to a halt. As i was chewing on my first bite of what was supposed to be excellent, i noticed something very hard in my bowl. I didn't order anything crunchy in my bowl. I spit out my food and what happens next will shock you. MY TOOTH. A chunk of my back left molar had come out. WHAT!?!? I had just been to the dentist a week prior so nothing was wrong. I am very disappointed that my bright day got dark so fast. I will return to CoreLife to enjoy many bowls in the future.
