    Today is my first time eating lunch at this food court inside City Center on 6th. As of May 2023, there are only 3 options inside this spacious food court including Corea BBQ. I decided to get a Chicken Bulgogi Doshirak lunch special for $12.95 plus tax (approximately $14) and ate it at the food court. They provide a buzzer with your order number and it will buzz once it's ready. I only waited for approximately 5-7 minutes despite the busyness during lunch. When I came forward to pick up my order, I was not expecting a full course on the doshirak. It had a mountain of chicken bulgogi pieces (marinated chicken bulgogi thigh meat), 4 banchan (sides) and a cup of purple rice with a fried egg. It also included a savory broth with bean sprouts and a pack of seaweed. The chicken was savory and tender but it the sauce was lacking in terms of quantity. I kinda wish the chicken had more sauce but it still had an umami flavor along with the sauteed green onions and carrots. However, I really enjoyed the fluffy purple rice paired with a sunny side up egg. Lastly, please be sure to put away your trays and plates and place them on the designated racks found on the sides instead of leaving them on your table. Corea BBQ is a decent place to get some quick Korean food and I'll be back again to try other items here.

    Super yummy food and quick service. The price was super worth it for the amount you get. Each portion comes with some sides and a soup. The food court has lots of seating and has AC. Such a delicious meal before our show at the Wiltern!

    Decent food. It's inside of a shopping mall and is served cafeteria style. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup and it was pretty good. If this review was based solely on value for your money I would probably give this place a four stars. You get a very large portion of soup as well as a side of rice and some Banchan sides. I also saw someone order the Bibimbap which also looked good. I'll probably give that a try next time I am here. Basically this place is above average food but large portions for the price. Great option for a quick and filling lunch.

    2022-05 update. Ok, so the prices are up everywhere. Foods are expensive and are getting smaller. That said, this place serves decent Korean meals for reasonable prices. I come to Equitable building next door, so I used to eat in different restaurants in this food court. This place always had above average food for the price. I mean, this type of place is similar to McDonalds for Korean meals. If you haven't try this place in a while, give it a try once more. I was pleasantly surprised when I had 3 items to go. Yook Gae Jang, Kimchi rice, & Omelet rice.

    I have been coming here for years for their delicious and balanced meals! My favorite item to get has always been Rice Topped with Raw Fish and Vegetables. They honestly have the best deal for the quality and portion sizes! The lady working in the kitchen is super sweet and always brings a smile to my face whenever we chat! Highly recommend this place for a quick delicious nutritious meal :)

    This place was very good! I got the Bulgogi beef plate and the Spicy Beef Soup to share with my wife. It was delicious and the sides were great. The owners were very nice and respectful and the food came out pretty fast. Seating here is great too since there is plenty of tables available. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I will be coming back!

    We were sitting inside the food court with our hmart lunch and the owner of corea bbq told us to sit outside when there were no one inside except for maybe two occupied tables. There were maybe 50 unoccupied tables inside and the owner insisted we leave and sit outside. I'd get it if it were full inside where paying customers needed a table to sit but mannnn there were almost ZERO PATRONS. You just lost a possible customer.

    Surprisingly, ok. In these food courts, I feel it's typically quantity and not quality. Definitely the case with Corea BBQ. I had the omelette fried rice. There were a number of other eatery, but it seems like Corea had the better Yelp reviews than other establishments. My coworker had the sashimi salad and she really liked that. The portion was huge, but not tasty. I struggled to finish it. The large egg omelette covers this ketchup fried rice with peas and carrots. The first bite was alright, but as you eat, it's like this mission to finish, not because it taste good, but because it gave you purpose. I would definitely prefer white rice over the ketchup rice. Or half white and half ketchup? To compensate, maybe some tonkatsu sauce would be what it was missing. I just tasted the tart from the ketchup and I was kinda grossed out half way in. I had the same dish as my coworker and she thought it was normal and what omelette fried rice should be. After a little pondering, totally needs pork sung and some soy sauce. Parking is good and there's 2 hour validation. I was debating between 3-4 stars, but thinking about the ketchup rice gives me shivers. Maybe next time I'll try something more suited for me. :)

    Ehh~ its just OK. Can't really expect a feast from these food court like restaurants but dang.. first off the cashier lady was just in a moody mood (goodness).. not planning on coming back to see you! Egg rice (in stone bowl) is pretty good but goodness that miso soup is a big NO NO! (waay to salty) Pork cutlet: decent but the sauce is salty. For all the side dishes... OMGoodness ummmm it tastes as if they really didn't put any consideration to it. Every single side dishes are bland and nasty. Pass.

    Quite a good little food court option. In the Zion Food Court you have a bunch of places to choose from, I'd put this in the top two for sure.

    My favorite place for Hot Stone Bibimbap. I been to many places and this place is the best . They are a small restaurant store front inside the Hmart Plaza food court . A real hidden Gem ! Delicious, fresh and nice portion. I highly recommend if you want an official Hot Stone . I love that that the staff know me here and what I get . I feel like a regular . You can tell the woman in the back takes pride in her cooking and I love it ! I hit the restaurant and then I hit the Crystal Spa upstairs . It's a great afternoon!

    $15 including tax. This is the 29D combo. Fish was good.

    3 stars seems fair. Food is good, fairly priced. Nothing authentic in terms of Korean food. This is food court food pretty much. My mom liked it.

But as beef stew goes...it wasn't stew-ish enough. Mostly because it has some strong seasonings, and the pieces of beef were cut really small, so it was more like a beef stir fry. That said, it was really tasty. Very flavorful, and the quality of the beef was good. I can see myself going there again. As for he place itself, the staff were nice, though going at lunch meant they were a little (and understandably) distracted. The website makes it seem like it's just for pick-up or delivery, but they have a couple small tables, both inside and outside. And I do mean small. Two people max. There's also a decent sized parking lot (the place is in a mini mall), and there's usually street parking, but at the moment Wilshire is under construction, so plan accordingly.

I've known that…read morespecific parking lot/strip mall to be a nightmare parking wise, so I bit the bullet and used the on-site valet. There is sometimes street parking but the availability is rough, it's tough to park, and even one of the meters we ended up at just didn't work. They only charge a $5 cash service charge though, which isn't bad. We were lucky to be seated right away, even in a packed restaurant. The restaurant has a surprisingly modern design, and is comfortable for as small as it is. We were quickly served their signature kimchis and barley rice. The kimchi, particularly the yeolmu (young summer radish) kimchi, has a unique flavor profile well suited to their food. We ordered 2 bowls of their plain kalgooksu, 1 bibim milmyun, and 1 tteokbokki. The food came out fairly quickly. The kalgooksu was as expected the star of the show. The anchovy broth brings a savory complexity that seems impossible for a soup made from just dried fish and a few other ingredients. It even has a rich, almost thick, quality to it that is surprising for a fish broth. Their noodles, the titular kalgooksu, have the signature irregularity and chew of knife cut noodles. I appreciate the vegetables that always come in kalgooksu, like potato, pumpkin, and zucchini, which offer an earthy heartiness to the light soup. My only complaint is that the potato is in huge irregular chunks, and is barely cooked, though I feel like I have had this issue with many of the kalgooksu bowls I've had over the years. The bibim milmyun was solid. I think that I prefer the texture and flavor of naengmyeon buckwheat noodles, but the milmyun, which are made with mostly wheat flour, still provide a satisfying chew. The sauce tasted bright and fresh, especially with a splash of added vinegar. It also came with a small side portion of spicy pork and some rice paper to wrap. The tteokbokki was the one let down of the meal. To be fair, I wasn't expecting much out of tteokbokki at all restaurant like this whose specialty is essentially the opposite. I ordered the tteokbokki as a "safe pick" for a picky eater in the group. It turned out to be a bit mediocre in our opinion, and that friend ended up enjoying their kalgooksu anyways. If you're looking to try this dish, it's definitely one of if not the best I've had in Southern California, so I'd totally recommend it. I'll also warn to steer clear of the Garden Grove restaurant of the same name and specialty. I think it's a disappointing mimicry of this place.

The forbidden rice pudding reminded me of a soupy version of the filipino dessert biko. It had chunks of sweet potatoes and tapioca. Also very good but my bias is the hakka mochi. The minced pork rice, however, reminded me so much of my mom's braised pork and egg dish. It had that comforting home-cooked feel to it, though I did think it was missing a little something at first. I also liked how attentive the staff was with dessert timing -- they give you a card to attach to your table sign when you're ready for dessert instead of bringing everything out at once. Small detail, but thoughtful. The restaurant itself also had a charming aesthetic with traditional Chinese accents and cute up-cycled Asian jelly cans being used as utensil and napkin holders. Overall, portions were generous enough that we had leftovers, and the pricing felt fair for the amount and quality of food. I already want to come back to try more items like the thousand layer pancake and the Chiayi chicken rice next time.

I like to pair my cream udon with a side of chicken karage!! I really like the batter that they use for the chicken! It's crunchy and airy and very well seasoned!! Service has always been amazing!
