Outstanding service, friendly staff and such a convenient location and hours. It was super clean with up to date equipment.

The problem with this company is that it is so disconnected from each other, because they operate multiple offices, that it causes unnecessary delays treatment of patients. Even when they receive correct paperwork, different offices won't be updated for days until 'owner' decides to make it available. They operate two offices with single email and fax number. This causes delays when the main office doesn't update other offices in a timely manner. This can lead to receptionist not knowing what is going on without the proper information. They should add Fax number for each office so Doctor's can send faxes to each one as needed. read more

I was a first-time patient and clearly told the clinic I had no prior experience with PT and asked what to expect. Despite this, I was not informed that insurance deductibles reset at the start of the year. My appointments were scheduled for 12/20/2025 and 1/2/2026, which caused me to pay my full 2025 deductible for just one visit. There were several opportunities to communicate this - during scheduling, insurance intake, or before the appointment - but it was never mentioned. Follow-up communication was slow, and the response I received lacked professionalism and accountability. No effort was made to resolve the situation; instead, responsibility was shifted entirely to the patient. read more

I can't recommend Dr. Carl and James enough! I came to them struggling with painful Achilles tendonitis that was limiting everything I enjoyed doing, and together they guided me through an incredible recovery. From day one, Dr. Carl took the time to really understand my situation, explain the root of the problem, and create a personalized treatment plan that actually worked. What stood out most was not just Dr. Carl's deep expertise and passion, but the way he and James worked as a team. Every session felt purposeful. The hands-on guidance and encouragement, made sure that I was doing the exercises correctly while building confidence along the way. Their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. Thanks to Dr. Carl, I've regained strength, mobility, and confidence, and I'm back to doing activities I thought I might have to give up. If you're looking for a physical therapy team that is not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and fully invested in your recovery, Dr. Carl and James are the best. All of the staff at the front desk are amazing! Truly the best! read more

I'm currently doing my PT here once a week due to my very contracted neck and shoulders that has been bothering me for years until recently that it prevents me from doing activities and also doing my job properly. After getting referred, they called me and I was able to schedule my appointment the next ff: day (which is unheard of nowadays). Sean was my PT and was very patient. I sometimes feel that my neck and shoulder pain will just be a chronic and I just have to live with it but they showed me proper exercises and it really helped a lot. I usually get a chiropractor and massage every week but now that I'm doing it there every week, I didn't feel the need to go since my neck and shoulder pain is tolerable until the next PT. Parking is by the Imperial Building, they validate. Clean office and nice equipments as well. read more

Tammie is my physical therapist. She's awesome. Her manual therapy feels so good. When I first started going to Core Sports in Kapolei, I felt welcome. They treat me like ohana. Front desk girls are so friendly and nice!!! They show their aloha every time I go. I recommend this place!!! read more

They are awesome. Very professional and experienced. They fixed my frozen shoulder, so now I have no pain and can use it again!

IMHO core is still a 4 stars! I can only speak for the Honolulu office, but they are the best here. I recently had the pleasure to work with CJ. He is such a caring and understanding PT. He and the other PTs have really helped me to recover from my injuries. If you are looking for a pt or massage, I definitely recommend coming here! read more

Love this place! Everyone here is so friendly AND great at what they do. Destiny and Pearl do a great job of getting you set up for your appointments. Both Shawns (there are 2 of them, lol) and Jaime have been fantastic in getting me and my son healthy and into shape. Would highly recommend anyone needing help with physical therapy and personal training. read more

BEWARE!!! Potential FRAUD and SCAM going on with this company by charging customers a substantial fee for no-shows, when they are purposely not answering their phone during posted business hours so customers can cancel their appointments in a responsible manner. If you make an appointment and need to cancel, the chance of this company answering the phone is slim to none, even after calling numerous times in the morning and end of day, as I did. Please feel free to contact me to coordinate a class action lawsuit against this company as I already reported them, and they are being reviewed at this time. I spoke with the owner Sean who said he was co-owner with his wife Dana and tried to point-out this problem affecting his customers but instead he accepted no responsibility on behalf of CORE SPORTS and he insisted he would not change a thing going forward. DONT GO HERE OR YOU MAY GET SCAMMED read more

There is a small number of people who receives training here. They are great for improving your strength and cores. I love the place. Unfortunately, as of July, they stop any training activities on Saturday, which did not help me. read more

I just wrapped up a month-long stay in Honolulu and had the opportunity to work with Sean Fields-Eaton to continue my recovery from a fractured tibia. The experience was top notch from the initial consult to the actual physical therapy sessions. Sean challenged me with plethora of exercises that targeted the areas for recovery and helped explain the kinesiology behind each. He was always hands-on and kept a close watch to make sure my form was correct. After a month of sessions, I can see measurable progress towards full recovery. Thank you Sean and the rest of the team at CORE Sports. read more

Been seeing the pros at Core Sports in Kapolei for over a year now for a serious running injury that required surgery. Maili has been my primary provider. Her professionalism and often tough love have made the recovery outstanding. Tara has been my Doc and can't thank her and the team enough for getting me back on track. Next week is my last session. I will miss everyone at Core! If I get broke again, I will be coming back :-) read more

They took great care of my daughter's sports injury and helped her recover quickly! Super knowledgeable staff, convenient location, and availability for appointments. Highly recommended! read more

I'm so glad that CORE Sports has expanded and opened another location in town! Although, the Kapolei location is closer to home for me...I actually prefer to schedule my appointments after work and the town location is actually more convenient. Before I start, let me just say that as a health care provider myself, I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my healthcare and those I choose to treat me. I have high expectations when it comes to patient care. I had a terrible experience in the past with physical therapy and didn't believe in the benefits. Luckily, I met Shaun and Dana by chance and decided to give PT another try and I'm so glad I did! I have been seeing Shaun for physical therapy (for different injuries) and personal training (HIIT) for the past 9+ years...even before they opened Core Sports. As a runner I've had my share of different overuse injuries...mostly because runners are crazy and will run through any kind of pain...until we can't. Whenever I take time to come here for physical therapy to rehab my injuries, I always came back faster and stronger. Shaun and Dana are very professional, knowledgeable, and truly care about getting their patients better. I also started getting weekly deep tissue massages (with graston and cupping) from here as well. My massage therapist, Francis, is so awesome! I highly recommend Core Sports for physical therapy, personal training, and massage!! Physical therapy keeps me running and the massages help with stress relief and recovery!! read more

CORE Sports - Honolulu - Physical Therapy Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Core sports- kapiolani location is literally the best. I've worked with Sean for my carpel tunnel, Ellen for lower back pain and finished working with Jamie for the remainder of my pregnancy. And over all, I recieved the best guidance, recommendations and most importantly- care! Pearl has gone above and beyond when it comes to Communicating between my doctor's office and insurance to be able to schedule me in a timely manner. I was even able to squeeze in a massage with Al after a PT session- who asked where my pain areas were, listened and gave one of the best massages I've ever recieved. I highly recommend Core Sports for any physical therapy needs. read more

Their work is impeccable. They are ready on time and take care with the patient. Both Dr. Ellen and Dr. Francis are fabulous in their work.

They pay attention to where you need the most assistance and genuinely care about your well being. I go about 2 times a week for back pain from lifting heavy. It's helped my back tremendously. We do all sorts of exercises that focus on strengthening and stretching. I especially dislike the 2 minute planks LOL. read more

Every so often, an old injury of mine flares up. I have exercises that I do to manage it, but I really needed someone to work on a specific spot on my shoulder. The scheduling process here was easy and was accommodating to my schedule. I was scheduled with Aja, a massage therapist. She was friendly, professional, and to the point. I told her exactly what I was dealing with and she addressed it. She was able to reposition my arm throughout the session to really get at my problem spot. A couple weeks later, and my shoulder still feels great! What a great clinic. Even when I was waiting, I noticed whenever someone came in they were instantly recognized and greeted by a staff member. It had a nice vibe. I would return here if my shoulder ever flares up again. read more

Going there to get my legs stronger and more stable. Thant and James are a great team. They push you and the exercise they put you thru works all the different muscle parts. There were muscles I never knew existed. Try them out and see for yourselves. read more

The best!! I do not go here for physical therapy but I do see Bobby for massage therapy. Bobby is a great massage therapist and will always cater to your specific need depending on what areas need work. This place is way better than going to a massage spa where they just give you squeezes here and there. Highly recommend to buy a 10 pack of massages because it is more cost efficient! read more

I take my body seriously and needed a serious massage. I went with CORE Sports because their focus is on functionality. Joel takes massage therapy to the next level. (Imagine taking your car to an automotive engineer instead of a mechanic.) He addressed issues in my body that I've not had other CMTs identify. I left moving and feeling waaay better- and even though it wasn't my primary goal, very very happy and relaxed. read more

This is my third time seeing a physical therapist after several surgery's to my knee. I went to the same PT after the first two surgeries but felt I wasn't given the same attention as needed. I decided to try Core Sport after my third surgery and have been pleasantly surprised. They're extremely attentive to the rehabilitation of my knee and they also provide you access to an app that you can follow on your off days for additional work. Overall I'm very happy with them and would highly recommend them. read more

Hi to all that need a physical therapy & orthopedic rehab this is the place to go. I had hesitations about rehab programs but having gone to work with Dr Shaun my feelings have greatly changed. He has helped me with recovering from my fractured patella. He's exercise program for me is working wonders. Also, along with his assistant Francis I've been very happy with my physical therapy treatment. I will recommend him to all my friends who may need this kind of treatment. He's very easy to talk with and makes everything very comfortable. Very patient and super nice. Have a great day. Aloha, Jeanette read more

I used to make the drive out to CORE Sports - Kapolei (from town) for weekly personal training sessions with Shaun. So to say I was absolutely thrilled to hear they were opening up a town location is quite an understatement. I recently started having some recurring neck issues and had full confidence in Shaun to get me back to "normal." He takes his time in thoroughly assessing your injury to ensure he creates the optimal physical therapy plan for you. He explained in detail what was going on with my neck and then led me through the exercises. Form is very important with Shaun so he corrects me if I'm doing an exercise wrong or need minor tweaks (or to increase the weight). After my first session, I was impressed that he emailed me my exercises so that I can do them at home daily. Working alongside Shaun is Francis, who is a licensed massage therapist and is currently studying to become a physical therapy assistant. These two guys are truly a Dream Team! Shaun makes sure my injury is improving and monitors and modifies (if necessary) my exercises, while Francis ensures that I never leave there feeling anything short of refreshed with his amazing massages. If you are ever in need of physical therapy and/or massage therapy, I highly recommend checking out Shaun and Francis at CORE Sports - Honolulu. You will not be disappointed! read more
