Corbin installed an attic fan for us in 2017. It failed in 2018. They replaced the motor and it just failed again. The fan should last 10-15 years, not 3. I've called and left messages 3 times trying to speak to someone who doesn't just give me a standard reply. They're quick to call back when they can sell you something, but service something they already installed, no way. Not remotely interested. Reading the other bad reviews they seem to all stem around poor customer service. I've been a customer of theirs for many years, but that ends now. read more

I hired them to install a new kitchen exhaust fan. They wrote an estimate. I accepted the estimate with condition clearly hand written in contract and also in e-mail that they would install solid vent with exhaust fan.On the day of installation, they installed flexible vent claiming that it would pass inspection. Town inspectors insisted on solid vent. These people refused to do that and asked me to pay additional $400 to install solid vent through another installer. Their excuse was that they never agreed to install the solid vent in writing and it was outside of their expertise. They should have clarified that to me as soon as they received contract & e-mail from me in the beginning. Bottom line- don't hire them because they are dishonest and unprofessional. read more

Horrible service. We have had nothing but problems since using Corbin. Our generator is about 6yo, we have had nothing but problems. Every time they come out it is another $185 service call to return for the exact same thing. They don't want to hear what the problem is, just that you will be paying the $185 for the technician to leave the machine in "good standing," which is not the case. I would not advise using this company at all. The customer service in the office is just as bad. read more

I have had nothing but issues with Corbin since we started the process of installing a Generac. To not filling out the proper paperwork for permits to following up on inspections, etc. We started this process in February and it is now July 1st and still do not have a functioning Generac. When the meter failed inspection the first time they just blew it off and said oh we will take care of that. Needed the Generac on Saturday when power went out and guess what it just sucked all the gas out of all the appliances in the house and cut out! Pay all this money for a generator and still does not work. Just spent my time on the phone with the gas company because Corbin says not their problem. Apparently they did not fill out all the proper paperwork to make sure the lines were proper. Now have to wait on the gas company to come back out and inspect the lines to see what is going on. Corbin was suppose to simulate a power outage when they installed it and supposedly everything worked properly, obviously that is not the case! I would not recommend this company to anyone Update: Corbin rectified the situation. Turned out to be the flow of gas from the street level which the gas company corrected and Corbin came back out and made sure everything was corrected and working properly. They were very attentive and made sure it stayed working after several minutes. read more

Chris & Mike are awesome!! First time using Corbin and they have been wonderful to work with - great work, responsive + fun to be around. I will be using them for all of our needs. Thanks Corbin! read more

i called Corbin for service in August after hurricane Isaias. I couldn't get a human on the phone so I left a message . About a month later, after not getting a call back, I called again. Same exercise. Corbin finally called me in October to ask if I wished to renew my contract. I asked why they never returned my calls for service. They told me they received thousands of calls after Isaias and their policiy is to only respond to calls received from the phone number they have on file. Say what! A word to the wise, stay away from Corbin. read more

very happy with this company. great installation and maintenance. highly recommended.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Used Corbin Electric for the electrical installation of a new kitchen 2 years ago. Found them to be prodessional in every way Chris was our go to person and we couldn't be happier . Corbin installed our Generac Generator a few months before Hurricane Sandy (weren't we lucky) we lost power for 11 days but didn't skip a beat thanks to Corbin and our generator. Have used Corbin ever since for all our electrical needs and are quite pleased. Can't say enough!!! read more

Called and specifically scheduled an 8am appointment. Waited around until 8:45am and no one showed. I called their office only to be told that I had a 9am appointment and they couldn't even guarantee anyone would be here at 9am. Zero accountability trying to blame me for their incompetence. I don't do business with a company that can't even properly schedule an estimate appointment. Save your time and money, there's plenty of other good electricians around. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

I have had only excellent service from the Corbin Electrical team ! I have used them for all of my electrical work in my house for several years now. One of my best investments was to have them install our Generac whole house generator. We also keep a Maintenance contract with them. Our generator has saved us through several big storms. I would highly recommend Corbin Electrical to anyone looking for a professional electrical crew backed by a superior office/service team. read more

Corbin did a great job installing our generator. We are very happy with our decision choosing Corbin.

Technicians fully explained everything that they were doing so I could understand. They arranged for all permits and inspections for us. So far everything is going smoothly. One of the technicians noticed that my dryer vent was not attached to the outside of house properly and he fixed it. That is great customer service! read more

The Corbin Tech, Vincent arrived timely and with a big smile on his face (which I think is so important) he was incredibly knowledgeable and got right to the root of the problem in minutes! He wore booties over his outdoor shoes, another much appreciated effort. Great company, awesome associates! read more

I contracted Corbin Electric to install and maintain my Generac whole house auto transfer generator 2 years ago. They are professionals. They are pleasant to speak with and have pride in working for Corbin which speaks highly for the company. Their attention to detail on install and service is unmatched and they are ALWAYS willing to answer questions about the service they are doing and are just excellent all the way around. I highly recommend them. They are just great to work with. read more

In the course of the three months that Corbin Electrical Services (Marlboro, NJ) worked on installing my whole-house Generac generator, I met or spoke with at least nine different staff members (admin, gas, electric) and I can say with 100% confidence that every single one of them did a superb job. They were always on-time, professional, friendly and knew what they were doing. Although I got three estimates before choosing a contractor, I went with Corbin because of the initial contact - Matt - who I found to be highly trustworthy. I'm new to this town (Cranford, NJ) so I needed to be sure that I could trust Matt and Corbin to follow through on all they did. They took care of most of the permitting process with the town, making it relatively easy for me. All in all, I am VERY glad that I chose Corbin to install my Generac. read more

The electrician arrived the same day as my call and did a great job. I would recommend this company highly.

Unlike the other review we had a very good experience with them. They came out to our house, gave us a fair quote and we gave them the job. They showed up on time. They were very neat and very professional. Whenever I have called, a receptionist answers the phone and connects me to the proper person I need to speak to. I have never been put on hold for a long time. I will use them again in the future. read more

I had a pool installed in the summer and Corbin was the subcontractor for Anthony Sylvan pools. During the work being done in my yard my Driveway lights went out. I assumed it was a wire that got cut during construction so I called Corbin to repair my driveway pier lights. First step was to send a troubleshooter to access the situation. Cost was $155. Next I needed to make another appointment fdor repair (2 weeks out). Cost $337. One month later all of my outside lights blewout. I called a local electricial who came immediately and said that thew Pier lights were wired incorrectly and caused the fuse to blow. Cost $150. Corbin sent the same repairman again who told me that now its a different problem and he needs to charge me again. http://www.corbinelectric.com/ in Marlboro NJ Have been calling Corbin to come back and make the repair but they are not even returning my calls or answering my e-mails read more

Great experience with Corbin Electrical Services. It started with my call to the friendly office staff. They were very helpful in getting me scheduled around my hectic days. The gentleman who came to my house were clean, respectful, and did a great job. I have been living in the area for over 20 years and used Corbin every time for electrical work. There is a reason they have been around for so long and I would urge anyone to call them. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Corbin Electric. I have used them for years and will continue to do so. Whenever there is a problem, they are always able to come and check out any "issues" I have had. I have used them to put in my attic fan, upgrade my lighting throughout my house, and install and service my generator. Speaking of which, I was always going to use Corbin for my whole house generator, but did my 3 quotes as I always do. I went with them because I found them to be the most knowledgable, experienced and professional. I have found the office staff who answers the phone to be both kind and patient and they call back quickly. Like I said, I have used them for as long as I have lived in the area- almost 20 years, and all my friends that live in Central and North Jersey use them too. read more

Run don't walk away from this horrific company. We had a whole house gas generator installed by this terrible company a few years ago. They installed the generator so that the exhaust faced an open grate leading into our basement. With the recent power outage, the generator ran for much longer than it had previously. At 3:30 AM our carbon monoxide detector went off. The levels of carbon monoxide in our home where at such a dangerously high level(according to the meter that the fire department used), that if we did not have a carbon monoxide alarm in our home my entire family would have died. When we informed Corbin about the fact that they almost killed my family, to say that they were less than concerned would be an understatement. When they did come to "correctly" re-install the generator, they left a giant hole in my lawn where the generator previously was. When I asked them when they would be back to repair the damage to my lawn, they said it's my problem to repair because they re-installed the generator for free. WOW, that was so nice of them after they almost KILLED my family. I am begging ALL Monmouth County residents to stay as far away as possible from this HORRIBLE company. read more

Be very careful doing business with this company. They are taking advantage of customers do to the recent storms in NJ. My generator was in need of repair so I contacted them and was quoted 100.00 to come out and 95.00 per hour to repair my Generac generator. When the tech arrived he tested a couple things told me it needs ignition coils. I told him to fix it and he said he had the parts but not the time to fix it today. Than I was told I owed him 195.00 plus tax for his visit . He was at my house for 15 minutes but I had to pay the full hour. Company policy.....he told me the office would call with a repair price and to inform them I already paid 209.00 and they would apply that to the repair since he was unable to repair it today. When the woman from Corbin called me I was informed that the repairs would be 700.00 and the 209.00 I already paid would not be applied. I told her to forget it. I always play dumb when I call service company's but the truth is I was a automotive parts manager for a multi line dealership for 25 years. I knew I was be ripped off. To sum it up I found the parts on line for 110.00 not the 271.00 I was quoted and it took me 1.5 hours to repair not the 3 I was quoted. So customer beware these people are crooks in every sense of the word. read more
