Our family has been going to Dr. Corben"s practice for a number of years. The employees are always very pleasant and Dr. Joshua Corben is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend Dr.Corben's office to anyone. Adrian (Adrienne) is always smily and has a beautiful accent. Claude F. read more

I'm 53 years old and live and work close to their office. As a new client for them, called them for a new rx, after I broke my old glasses. This was my best glasses exam ever. They got me in quick, gave me an awesome exam, and was very Reasonably priced. I love my new glasses! I was treated by the father. He was very nice and took his time to make sure I was happy. I recommend them! read more

I read a review regarding appointment setting issues. I called on Wednesday and got an appointment for the next day! When unexpected work issues popped up, I showed up almost an hour early fully expecting to have to reschedule as I had to be somewhere later in the day. Not only did they NOT reschedule, I was seen within a few minutes by a young lady at the front desk whose name I did not get, but she was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Adrian, then ran me through my initial tests, she was a pleasure to work with. Dr. Kyle Brewer (whom I had not met prior) came into conduct my exam. He was thorough and excellent and even manged to conduct that horrendous stick the laser through the back of your skull test with little or no discomfort. Great team, great visit. I highly recommend them. read more

I've been calling all of the optometrist offices in Santa clarita and they have been telling me that it will take MONTHS to schedule an appointment. I just called here and asked when their next available appointment was. She told me today at 4:30, as soon as I gave her my insurance information she did not want to help me today because "she was looking at the wrong date". Unfortunate that so many offices out here are denying me because of the insurance that I have. read more

I've been going for years and seen both doctors. This last time they scheduled me same day!

Focusing on the staff here, excluding doctors. You have to catch the staff on a good day because some of them are really unfriendly and will exude a bad attitude. They are not very knowledgeable about contact lenses and have made some serious mistakes. Vision tests and everything? Great! But the customer service is a let down. read more

I had been a customer for many years, then hadn't been back for a few years, until recently. Wow, have things changed!! I just had my eye exam with Dr. Josh and he is fantastic! He explains everything and has a very good demeanor about him. After the exam is where it fell off for me. After looking at glasses, I found a pair I liked, but the prices were astronomical. I conveyed to the young man helping me, that the cost was a lot more than I expected, even after my insurance coverage. The young guy appeared to take my comment personal, as he rushed me out ever so quickly. Before I left, I asked for my prescription, which he printed out. Then, with clearly an attitude, he said "Here, you can take this to wherever you need to go!" I may be old school, but that did not seem like an invitation for me to return anytime soon!! I will continue to receive my eye exam through Dr. Corben, but that will be the extent of my patronage to their business until they revamp their customer service and prices! read more

I understand that this is a family owned small business, and I understand the monetary need to pay overhead and payroll... but I will never visit this office because they are overpriced, their customer service is horrible, and my last glasses order took twice as long as it should have. I want to support small businesses but next time I need new specs I will be going to Costco or Walmart... even though I don't like supporting large corporate entities. read more

I have been going to Dr. Corbon for over ten years and recently every check up has been a rollercoaster!! They have claimed to order my contacts,I call after two weeks have gone by and they never ordered them to begin with! This is the third time they have done this. The staff is very unorganized, you get a different answer depending who picks up the phone. It is very sad to see such a low level of customer service coming from a once great practice! read more

My daughter had just two weeks to get her eyes examined and to receive her glasses before leaving for college out of state. I called my regular optometrist here in Valencia but they were not able to give us an appointment on short notice that worked with my daughter's schedule. Further, they told us that with our VSP insurance, the glasses would need to be sent to an outside lab and it was not likely that the glasses would arrive before my daughter leaves. We decided to look for a new optometrist. After reading reviews here on Yelp, we opted to give Corben Optometry a try. I called the office and they were able to give my daughter an appointment the very next day. The check-in process was simple and there was virtually no wait until my daughter was called to the back to have her eyes examined. As we suspected, my daughter needed prescription glasses. Corben Optometry had a wide range of quality fashionable designer frames to choose from at various price points. I wish I had gotten the name of the person who helped my daughter choose frames as she was very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. She told us that she would put a rush on the order so that it would arrive before my daughter leaves. The glasses arrived in just a week and my daughter is super happy that she will now be taking her new glasses with her to college. read more

I had my first visit to Corben Optometry yesterday. I barely had to wait at all while I was there. Everyone there made me feel welcome and comfortable. I liked Dr. Josh Corben very much and the woman who helped me find the perfect glasses was very helpful! I would highly recommend this office! read more

Corben Optometry is the place to go. Great Doctors and very friendly and inviting staff. My family and I would not go anywhere else. Keep up the great work. read more

Just as the 5 star rating says this place is as good as it gets! Not only are the doctors great but they are very informative and never hesitate to answer your questions. Onto the staff... I have been going for over 10 years and service has been great. Jackie is the first and only person I go to when choosing a frame. She is not only helpful but honest about what works for me. I am surprised to hear of her being a SURLY WITCH. Perhaps it was the patient who was having a bad day or mother nature gave her a call? Customer service there has been nothing but great. I am greeted with a friendly hello and am seen right away. If you are looking for a optometrist in the Santa Clarita area, this is the place to go! read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Joshua Corben for several years. My oldest son recently complained of having blurry vision. We took him in to see Dr. Josh and he had such a great experience. I've never seen a child so excited to find out they needed glasses, but I have to say this was due to how Dr. Josh explained everything to him. I cannot recommend Dr. Corben enough! read more

I've been going to the optometrist for the past 27 years and never had such a bad experience as the one I had here at Corben Optometry. I recently moved to the Santa Clarita valley and decided to give this place a try, but it was a huge mistake. I've had better service going to Walmart or Costco. First I saw Dr. Michael Corben who insisted that I try these contact lenses for astigmatism even though I've never been told by any optometrist that I have astigmatism, but for some reason he wanted to sell me these contacts. He must make some commission off of selling this brand Biofinity. Well after putting me under pressure I was sent home with a pair of these contacts. These were the most uncomfortable contacts I have ever worn. My eyes were always dry and blurry. Needless to say, after wearing these contacts for a day or two I went back to my old contacts. I had a follow up appointment about a week later to see how I was doing with these contacts. You would think that the same optometrist would treat me for the follow up, but instead they had me see this other optometrist who was a woman. She told me that their system was down and she wouldn't be able to do anything for me on that day. I was told they would call me to follow up and possibly schedule another appointment. Well another week went by and finally I got a call from their receptionist asking for my old prescription. Apparently, they just wanted to order contacts for me using my old prescription. I told them why would they need my old prescription if I just took an eye exam there. I was told since the eye exam didn't help my vision they wanted to go by my old prescription. This really upset me because what's the point in getting an eye exam if they can't get it right. I requested to speak with the manager and after hearing my frustration she agreed on setting up another appointment and starting all over again. So, another week went by before my next appointment. By this time it had been a total of 3 weeks since I initially came into this office and so far I had gotten nowhere with them. This time I saw Dr. Joshua Corben, so a total of 3 different optometrists treating the same patient in a matter of 3 weeks. Dr. Joshua gave me another eye exam and finally gave me the correct prescription and a pair of contact lenses to take home. The bad experience didn't stop here though. The office administrators were supposed to follow up with me in a week to order my supply of new contact lenses. Well let me say it's been about 4 months and the only calls I've received from this office is to collect a $39 dollar fee for an image they took of my retina because the insurance doesn't cover it. You would think that they would have the courtesy to at least waive this fee after all the mistakes they made, but it doesn't seem like they really care. I'm never going back to this optometry again! I'll be ordering my contacts through 1800-contacts than having to deal with this office. read more

As patients for the past 14 years, Both Drs. Michael and Josh Corben have met our varying eye care needs well. They are both skilled diagnosticians, and by accounts from all 6 of our immediate family members, there has never been an issue with a prescription or eyewear product, despite our varying degrees of prescriptions and vision wear choices. With our varying levels of needs, mine are the most involved due to previous radial keratotomy surgeries, and they have both taken the time and focus necessary to manage my vision as well as possible, even referring me out to other professionals when my vision correction surpassed their ability to correct. Eventually, I had to find an ophthalmic surgeon for corneal transplantation, but if not for that, I would still be seeing them along with the other 5 family members. Jackie, Gloria and Adrienne in their office are all long term employees who have all been professional, courteous and helpful with our vision care needs. All three of them have outgoing personalities, and NONE of them make the client feel like their presence is annoying or bothersome. They have all done a great job representing the professional services they represent, and their service-oriented attitude only promotes the positive experience. I highly recommend the Corbens and their staff, we are grateful for the confidence we have built with their care. read more
