Great instructors! Great variety. Classes every half hour. I wish they were closer to home and I would go more often. It's not the *best* part of town, but $7 per class is super cheap... They had to go cheaper on something and they certainly did not go cheap In quality of classes. I like marispy and Phil for the most " cardio" workout.... I waited to write this after I had been about a dozen times and tired different Zumba teachers. So, here goes---I love that the teachers are so sweet, dedicated and are all dancers. I also love that this is a small, minority-owned business. It is not intimidating--as in most everyone there (me included) could probably stand to shed a few pounds. You'll not find 20-something fitness goddesses here. Side note: I do love looking at you and hoping to be you one day, goddesses! However, I can't find it in myself to give them anything over three stars mostly because the classes bore me, except Alex's classes, which are fun. The teachers are great dancers so I am not sure what the disconnect is between the classes and their ability to provide much more engaging content. All I know is that I am watching the clock constantly. Plus many of the Zumba classes are not high impact so I'm surprised to hear one teacher say we'd burn 2000 calories in there. I'm not sure there's any exercise out there where you burn that much in an hour, otherwise I would have already shed those aforementioned extra pounds. read more

This place used to be awesome...when Alex was there. Im sorry but ive had the other instructors let me get in for free just to try their classes and well.. maybe its for people who don't really care about getting a good work out. With Alex , I would be sweating and enjoying myself at the same time. He would kick my butt and actually make zumba a challenge. Hes extremely taleneted and had been teaching there for a long time. Hes the only reason I went there. Now theres new instructors that havent been teaching there for long and you can tell. I followed him to his new location. Absolutely love this place. The classes are FABULOUS . The rooms are spacious and parking is plentifully. There are a wide variety of class times available, to suit varying client schedules. The clients are friendly and the instructors are beyond talented in their profession, with Mary Bastos being the most motivating and best instructor there. Additionally, a wide variety of class formats such as kettlebell, ballet, kickboxing, bellydancing and salsa classes are also available. Corazon Latino is by far the best in Austin!! read more

I was visiting from California and dropped in to Mary's Sunday Zumba Carribean class. It was AWESOME & she is too!!!! She was very kind and helpful to newcomers and love, love, love her energy! I will be back the next time I am in Austin for business. read more

You guys have to come try out this place! I love the Monday and Tuesday class at 7pm with Phil. He's a lot of fun and gets you motivated! I've been going there for over a year now and am addicted. Words can't describe how much I am thankful for finding Corazon Latino ,it's very close to my house not to mention very affordable. When I first came here I had hit my lowest point, I was 220 lbs and I'm down to 180 i was ready for a change. I stood way in the back afraid people would laugh or judge me, that was never the case. All the instructors made me feel like I belonged!! It's been almost a year I've been coming here and I'm a completely new person. There are many classes to choose from, never in a million years did I ever think id be able to make it through BOOT CAMP! But the lady's here make you feel like you can do anything help find your inner confidence! It's like a big family at Corazon Latino I wouldn't go anywhere else !!! read more

Great atmosphere. Nice ladies. Clean facility. Easy parking. Changing rooms but no showers. Classes are fun and suit all fitness levels.

Zumba is just the best way to exercise mind and body and the instructors at Corazon Latino are just the best!

After coming to Corazon Latino for Zumba for nearly two years, I thought I'd look around. Nowhere else came close! Other classes felt like jazzercise, or just plain aerobics. With Fanny, Marispy Mary, and the other instructors, you'll forget you're exercising, while dancing to Latin American rhythms. Recently had a fun, fun fun class with a new instructor, Melody A. Okay... I admit I probably need to get out more, but my experience at Corazon today prompted me to write my first Yelp review. I had more fun today than I have had in a long while, and I feel like I've died and gone to exercise heaven!! I was scared to death going into a studio as a 40-something with no rhythm who loves to dance anyway. Weddings and Highball's 80s night have been my only venues, but weddings are few and far between, and Highball is way past my bedtime. I've tried dance classes, but their focus is on getting the moves just right. Not so at Corazon! A dark room and a disco ball and loud fun music hid all my missteps so my inner Paula Abdul could let loose. Add a friendly client named Mary who introduced herself and showed me the ropes, and a beautiful instructor named Josh, who should be named joy because he made me happy just looking at him because he looked like he was having the time of his life. All of this and a conga line at 11am on a Saturday, and that's not counting the calories burned. I can't wait to go back! Thank you!! read more

For 3 years I searched this city for Zumba classes without success. I guess I would say that I'm pretty picky about my Zumba and every class I tried up to these had just felt like an aerobics class with moves that felt like exercise but not so much like dancing. Then last year I was invited to a zumbathon with multiple instructors and one of those instructors was Mary B (one of the owners of Corazon Latino). Every time that it was her turn to lead I actually felt like I was at a dance party, working on different dance moves, and just dancing along to some really great songs while sweating like crazy. At the end of the day I was too shy to ask her where she taught (especially in front of the other instructors) so I went online and searched the whole list of Zumba instructors in austin until I found her picture with her class schedules. Lucky for me (FATE) Groupon had a deal for her studio (corazon latino) at that same exact time so I decided to try it out. Best decision ever. When I arrived to her 5pm class it was packed with people of all different sizes, ages, and races. Throughout the class people encouraged each other and even sung along to their favorite songs. Everyone was dancing and sweating and just having fun! I remember smiling just because I was having that great of a time. I live in north austin and would sit through rush hour traffic for 45min just to get to that class until one day I got in an accident on I-35. After the accident I tried to convince myself that I should go to a different Zumba class closer to my house but I never felt motivated to go and stopped working out. After months of no Zumba I've started to make my way back to Corazon Latino by going in the mornings when traffic isn't so bad and ill gladly drive the 30min for a workout I actually enjoy. The classes aren't as full and it is definitely a different energy than in the afternoon, but Corazon still has won my vote to having the best Zumba instructor in town! read more

I travel 3 hours back and forth to this dance studio. I think that is enough to explain how good it is.

Great classes and great instructors. The office staff needs to do something about the air and fans. The classes are so hot and often require frequent requests to adjust the air. The floors get so slippery and wet from the temperature. Please make it tolerable for exercise!! read more

I absolutely love this studio! The instructors are all friendly and seem very passionate about what they do. Classes are reasonably priced and there are often deals for bulk classes. So far I've only tried out the Zumba classes but they are a lot of fun and always a great workout. read more

The microphone speaker needs to be turned up, you can't hear a thing. There was no choreography, the instructor was not counting....I've been to real zumba classes, and I was so exciting to see this place. Now i'm just so dissappointed. read more

I was apprehensive to go at first, but after my first Zumba class, I was hooked. I gained a lot of weight and hadn't danced in years, but found myself wanting to go back day after day. I love that there is such a good mix of ages, genders, ethnicities, sizes, etc. I would rather go here 5 times a week than step foot in a gym. Love this place! I love the toning classes.
