I had a consultation with Noah a few months ago now, about my wants and needs of personal training. I already do Muay Thai and running on my own. I wanted to add some strength training in but it's been awhile and needed some direction. I filled out very thorough paperwork. I was matched with one of the trainers, Brett, and I couldn't be happier. There are different packages to accommodate all needs and budget. Overall I am happy and would recommend. They also have group classes but I haven't done so I can't comment on that.

Great fun, great workouts, didn't let me slack, and really paid attention to technique - because she listened to me and observed my movements, I was able to do more than I thought I could (since I hadn't done anything for 2 years) and feel so much better physically and mentally! While I didn't participate in the group sessions, they were going on when I was doing my personal sessions -- looked and heard like a super group of friendly people who are all there to do the right thing, have fun as a group while getting into shape and learning to work out the right way. People walking around shirtless, dripping sweat, stinking, in bare feet, only socks, crocs, and Teva sandles. Nasty. Old dilapidated and low quality dumbbells, only 2 old treadmills and a few of the manual treadmills, no fixed weight barbells, a bathroom falling apart with the toilet bowl cover hanging on by one hinge. No air conditioning. Hot and smelly. Humid atmosphere. Couldn't draw up a worse gym in my imagination. To me it's 1 star but I guess to cross fit cultists this is what they like. Only a few smoothie choices and no chicken wraps or anything in their nutrition bar or whatever it's called. If you know how to work out and don't need or want a trainer or group then this place is definitely not for you. They do an incredible job on marketing and must edit photos or take superb angles like a catfish on tinder. Almost thinking they pay influencers to hype this place up. Either way I'd prefer the most basic Planet Fitness or Crunch 100x over this. In fact I'd rather get chubby and not work out over having to work out in an environment like this again.

When I could no longer tolerate the big box gyms, the crowds that flock to them and the bad behaviors that have cropped up over time, I finally made the move to this gym. Sure it's smaller, sure it doesn't have daycare, saunas, pools, giant changing rooms but I consider all those things a plus. People who show up here show up to work out not sit at the sauna and pool all day. The price point is higher than most gyms but not unreasonable. You get what you pay for -- mostly in peace and quiet and an overall more courteous gentler crowd. There is a good mix of equipment that can handle a mix of folks who just want fitness, folks who are into bodybuilding and powerlifters. For the most part all three groups exist in peace. Perhaps the general fitness folks may at times be a little intimidated by some of the louder harder workouts of the powerlifters. But this can be mitigated by changing the time you go. I get overstimulated by such noises so I try to avoid those folks if I can. ( I can be a gentle flower lol) Gender balance. This gym has a very healthy gender balance. Luckily this crowd is not there to find suitors, they are there to work out so no fake eyelashes or clown makeup nor guys just dragging their wings along the ground like turkeys in heat. Please respect this dynamic and don't come here to hit on people. Like most gyms the peak time is 5-7 week days except it's mostly Monday to Wednesday that's somewhat busy during rush hour. But nothing like the big box gyms. It's busy but not impossible to get a workout in like other gyms. Folks are not aggressive with each other, they are kind when they approach you for working in etc. I take a long time at some machines people should be upset but there is no upset, only kindness. They are swapping out some of the equipment and its changes for the better -- mind you what's there is already plenty. This is a small gym floor compared to mix chain gyms. The gym in Lincoln village is slightly larger and the new one in round rock will be huge. The hours are great. Parking is plenty however not endless, sometimes you will have to hunt a little. The gym is clean, bathrooms is clean but could be better. I am just being honest. It's just fine. I have been spoiled by Lifetime and EOS. There is a regular crowd that's been there a long time and they sometimes do exert a little bit of ownership and territorial behavior but they are mostly harmless, they could use the challenge of new faces, and they are perfectly able to adapt and accept newcomers. So don't be intimidated. It's all teddy bears in there. The staff also is amazingly friendly and attentive and keep the place sharp and on top shape and help members. I highly recommend you get a week pass and check it out!

I was initially skeptical of the 30 minute sessions but I'm actually seeing more progress here than I have in the past with more traditional 60 minute approaches. These workouts kick my ass, keeping me at my edge while not going too far. It's a very efficient use of time. I also appreciate the balance across workouts which creates a solid overall baseline of fitness. Additionally, I have corrected some issues I was having previously with a ligament in my foot. The level of personalized care is impressive. I feel great, look better than ever and can't wait to see my long term progress in a year or two!
