It's very well taken care of, the classes and instructors are a JOY to be around, and the parking is easy with two lots being a dirt lot right next to the studio as well as street parking in front of the houses on the street. Now mind you, this ain't ya' mama's pole and dance studio! It is so much more. If you want to feel the technical *perfection* of being a pole ballerina, this may not be the place (however Pole Virgins and Pole Harlots with Ruby will give you some really good technical tips). However, in my opinion, this space IS the best place to start your pole/sensual dance journey. You can always learn technicality, but here is where you can learn to love how you move... This was the MOST FUN experience!! We went for a bachelorette party and had a blast. The woman who runs it is a literal star and made us feel so comfortable. When you approach the door, there is a sign that asks you to kindly leave egos and judgements at the door, and it sets the tone for every sexy pole, sensual dance class, and community gathering. This place is so special. The dance classes are accessible for all levels and fun, even if (like me) muscle memory and choreography comes to you very slowly lol. I love the variety of classes they offer. The coven/church classes are therapeutic, enlightening and a great way to build community. Whether your flavor of dance leans more towards spiritual movement or enhancing your stripper hustle, you can express it here. Also, the playlists are on point (very important)! I love that dressing up is encouraged! You can be extra if you want - some places can feel like if you're not wearing plain gym clothes, a messy bun and no makeup then people are judging you for not ~taking your workout seriously~ but you don't have to worry about that here. Adorning and appreciating your body is part of the experience. Crimson is so deliberate with building a sacred space. From the stunning aesthetics of the studio, (even the bathroom is amazing and cozy) to her welcoming, loving energy that you can't help but be attracted to, Crimson has found her calling. The instructors have different dance and choreography styles and strengths so every class I learn something new or a new way to execute a dance move. There is no other studio quite like this one in Austin. I attended the grand opening party this past Friday (9/29). The studio is beautiful and the owner and teachers are all really friendly. I loved how they offered 20-30 minute sample classes at the party so that I could try them out before buying classes. I took classes with Dez and Jessica - they were both fantastic teachers and the classes were a lot of fun. I am brand new to esoerotic dance and sensual movement classes, but they made me feel comfortable, and the other ladies in the classes were really supportive, too. Crimson and Keely also taught classes at the grand opening event, but unfortunately I was too busy chatting to participate. I'm intrigued by the Nasty Woman class! We had so much fun at Minx + Muse! We booked the Lioness Pole Dance party for 10 girls to kick-off my friend's bachelorette weekend. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had, from the first phone call to the very end of the party and even beyond. The booking process was easy and flexible even though our number of girls kept changing. Crimson worked with our musical preferences to put together a customized class. We had gotten caught in a rainstorm on the way over and we're stressed out when we came in the door. Crimson was friendly and funny and quickly got us all loosened up and ready to get wild. During the class, we learned a bunch of beginning pole dance moves and stitched them all together into a sexy group routine. It was so much fun but also accessible. None of the moves were too difficult for our girls to do (though I definitely used some muscles Im not used to using). Crimson also did a great job of engaging everyone, even the more reserved girls (myself included). By the end of it, we also had some time to take some extra pictures and videos on the poles. I also highly recommend the 'Make it Rain' add on if you enjoy stripper names and money guns (and who doesn't). UPDATE: I gave M&M five stars a year ago when I started there, and a year later I can absolutely say that five stars is not enough stars. The classes are empowering and inclusive. I don't feel out of place despite being an older overweight non-bendy person - the other day I came to class in booty shorts and a crop top, an outfit I would have been too embarrassed to wear a year ago when I started, and even with my gut hanging out and my cellulite on my thighs, when I saw myself practicing in the mirror I felt sexy as hell. The instructors are all unique and each bring something different to their classes. And the owner, Crimson, is just an amazing person who works hard to create a real community among the students as well as top notch classes (both dance and non-dance). She is such a great and loving teacher. I take Pole Virgin classes with Crimson which are ALWAYS good. UPDATE: Crimson reached out to me and let me know how she felt about everything. She was very professional and open and I liked that she took the time to reach out to me. It made me feel like she took me seriously and valued me as a person. After seeing how the owner handled things I'll definitely go back to Spellbound Striptease and try out one of their Goddess Hours ( I think it may be called something else but it's where you go in and socialize with other women for an hour ). I hope that this was all some weird misunderstanding because I feel a lot better now about the whole thing and it *is* cool to have a witchy little spot in Austin. Just sayin'. I want to start off by saying that I did enjoy the spellbound striptease with Zoya. She is super fun and very respectful, which is why I am giving them three stars instead of teo I was very excited to take classes at Minx and Muse because their Instagram page is pretty neat. One thing I think I should make clear is that they are not exactly a pole dancing studio. They do chair dancing (Zoya was AMAZING in spellbound striptease) and stretching classes and then Wicca/Spiritual hours. My real issue was with Jessica, the pole virgins instructor. My friend and I both felt a little ostracized in addition to us realizing that Jessica seems to have a bias against *actual* exotic dancers. My friend said that she seemed bothered by us and she got the same impression about her and exotic dancers. Which is ironic because the girl is teaching a POLE DANCING class, in the middle of Austin for god's sake. I'll use us the last of my 3 for $33 but then I think I'll be trying out Brass Ovaries. Really disappointing to leave class feeling this way when they spout off about inclusivity and female empowerment. read more

I went to a bachelorette party at Minx + Muse last weekend and it was amazing! We did the chair dance party where we learned a routine then did some lap dance at the end. It was so fun! Honestly, we spent most of the time just laughing, but we did learn a cool routine, and the instructor was great at understanding our levels and making the event special for the bride-to-be! I loved the one pole virgin class I went to. In an hour i felt like I learned a ton, and was sore the next day. Such a great work. My only dislike is the variety of the class times. They dont seem to have anything during the week except early evening,and a couple early times Saturday morning. Its impossible for me to make any classes because I'm a single mom with lack of childcare. I paid for 3 classes in a package, missed a class cause didnt have a babysitter for that time, prob wont be able to make the 3rd before 30 days is up either and classes are nonrefunable. But besides that, this place seems pretty awesome. read more
