Booked my appointment and was seen the same day! My hair is curly 3B/3C pattern and I had excellent service. Honey was my stylist and did a fantastic job. I got my hair shampooed/conditioned, trimmed, and then styled. All for almost $60. On top of that, I was given some water and even a mimosa. Definitely will be coming back. I received quick/efficient service and the products used on my hair felt great. I'm excited to have found a salon here in Jax after visiting two others and not liking them nearly as much as this one! Curly haired peeps would definitely enjoy this place. read more

A more extensive review was left on google but after the "glowing" response from possibly the shop owner April, i figured I should share here as well. I called & booked a same day appointment based off of the photos on the corasp instagram. The shop owner assigned the stylist Jamee & I was passed off to Andria. I requested a braid down foundation for a sew in that I would later be installing myself. My main request: I needed specific anchor braids going around the perimeter, no added styling products & that the tension of braids would be sufficient for the sew in. The stylist, Andria, was not an experienced braider, my hair was blown out bone straight & paul mitchell sleek and shine serum was used which hindered the service. I paid $130 for the "luxury" service that took four hours .. The salon is nice yes, the stylists are nice yes. Did I receive what was advertised absolutely not. . . I only posted a review as constructive criticism because honestly the shop owner put me at a disadvantage & was eager to take my $$ knowing who "she booked" me with was not the stylist needed to do the task : a braid down. 99% of all the braids being advertised on the corasp instagram is by Desiree.. yet i was booked w/ a loc specialist who then passed me off to a colorist. So again i'll repeat if you are a new customer verify that the stylist you are booking w/ can do the service as in its their area of specialty .. All stylists have strengths and weaknesses and its above me that April does not understand that.. or is rather dismissive. Had I paid more attention to who was tagged in the braid photos & not trusted the shop owner .. i'm certain my experience would have been different but ill never know because I'll never go back.. read more

My first experience here was awesome. When you first walk in, it feels warm and inviting. The decor is very stylish and pretty and I was greeted right away from April. I was there for an istall of extensions with some color to mask my grays. It was convenient because I was able to purchase hair directly from her, which saves me a lot of stress. It was luxurious, premium quality Indian virgin hair. What completely amazes me is that April can get the job done without having to be there all day. I was done in less than 2 hours. When she told me I was done, I touched my hair in amazement because I couldn't believe I was done right before lunch time. It came out beautiful and I kept my install in for 2 months, I could have kept it in a bit longer but its my preference to take it down within that time frame. Overall, this experience has been great. April is amazing and so is this salon. read more

I was a little skeptical about trying this place out, but it just kept coming up as a suggested business on Facebook. I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. I was immediately greeted upon entering and was offered an adult beverage. During my consultation, I was given several useful suggestions, but they weren't written down, so I forgot them all. I went for the wash and blowout with the silk press. My hair looked absolutely fabulous when I left there. Although the style only lasted for two days, I really appreciated having a chance to look fabulous for a while. read more

I was in Jacksonville, FL for work and decided I should get my nails done during my time here. I found a Groupon for this salon and figured I'd give it a try. WHAT A LET DOWN. At first, I was enjoying the service. I thought the salon was decorated so cute and the owner quickly offered me snacks while I waited. I was then seated on cushioned chairs (with no massage option). The lady that did my nails told me it was only her and the owner operating the business. She did a great job at painting my nails...but didn't remove my cuticles. I didn't even see a cuticle remover tool in her set. All she did was push them down. Then, she left with her boyfriend and the owner (who was braiding hair) stopped what she was doing to do my shellac manicure(if that's what we want to call it). She didn't fully remove my old shellac color and left it on the sides. She also didn't remove my cuticles. I even asked her to do so and she said she would at the end of the polish... when she was done I was waiting for my cuticles to be removed and all she said was "well lets go charge you and get you out of here".... I love the color of my nails, but I hate that my cuticles look so bad. My pinky wasn't even fully painted. I was going to complain, but after 2 hours of being there...I was so over it. I was off work on Friday and was looking to get my hair done. Everywhere I called did not have any openings. I found a Groupon for Corasp and decided to give them a call. The Groupon was for $100 if you got ombre or $129 is you decided on balayage (haircut and style included). When I called the person on the phone was very friendly. I told them I was not sure which one I wanted to purchase. I was told do not bother with the Groupon to come in and they will honor the price and do a consultation. The salon was nice and the stylist was friendly. I was offered drinks and snacks. The stylist did the consultation. I was told that since I had box color (brown) 2 months ago I needed to have color removal done due to a greenish tint. This added another $60 and due to my length (shoulder length hair, but thick) I had an additional charge. All in all I was quoted $224 and I was made to sign a contract with the price. I walked in thinking I was going to pay between $100-129 and was left with a quoted amount of $224 (also be prepared to pay an extra fee for using the square card reader-additional 2.75% on top of all the additional charges added). I was going out of town that night and needed to get my hair done. This was quite a drive for me and now I was thinking my hair was green so I agreed to get my hair done. April pulled up a beautiful color on her Ipad and it was exactly what I wanted. I was told it would take 5-6 hours. I made it very clear I did not want my hair to look natural. I wanted it to look like I spent money to have my hair done. I did not want to spend this kind of money to look the same.. The stylist did my hair and while doing it made a comment that my hair was not "age appropriate". I was pretty insulted. I am 35 not 53 and did not walk in with Rainbow Brite hair. I came in trying to feel better about myself. It was not my intention to feel like I was knocked down several steps. When my color was complete I turned around and my hair looked exactly the same (minus the so called green tint)! I came into work this morning and was told that it looked the same! I made it clear when I left that I do not notice a difference and the color looked like it did previously. I was told that the lighting was not good in the salon (well if that is the case then the lighting was not good when I spent an extra $60 for color removal due to a green tint) and the stylist mentioned that she tried to keep me natural. I did not ask to be natural. I told her specifically that I did NOT want to be natural. I am not sure why a different direction was taken other than what I requested.. I ended up spending $254 which was way more than expected and I left out of there completely disappointed. It is what it is.. I should not have been in a rush to find somewhere to get my hair done. I should have waited and made an appointment somewhere I was familiar with. Needless to say I will not return and would not recommend the salon. ******UPDATE******* I revisited the salon and the owner April did my hair. It was an awesome experience. She is so knowledgeable and will make you feel like a queen. April went above and beyond to ensure that I have the best experience. I told her what I was looking for and she gave it to me exactly and then some. It was very fun and enjoyable. She is very experienced in her field and knows all there is to know about beauty. She gave me makeup tips and I plan to go back to one of her makeup classes! I left out of there feeling wonderful and I am very satisfied with my hair. She went above the call of duty and did what any salon owner should do and for that I am changing my review to 5 stars. Thank you April your the best! I would recommend the salon! April is such a wonderful joy. She really made my whole month. I came in for a keratin treatment with Jamie and it looks AMAZING. It was an awesome experience. The shop is lovely and clean and the customer service is awesome. It's in a great location and a wonderful place. Im normally super picky but I can't say enough about the service and hair. I've been coming to see April for a little over a year now ever since she moved from her other location (on Philips) and I never wait when I've made an apt in advance and never have had one thing to complain about when she does my sew-ins either! She's stylish and fast- and offers a reasonable price and great service and products when she styles my hair. I can't speak about the nail service but what I can tell you is that she's one of the most honest and down to earth business owners that I know and a good person. If you are looking for a nice salon, in a nice part of town with quality products and service I'd give her a try and tell her that I sent you- she aims to please and doesn't like to disappoint! read more

A nice young woman owns this salon, it's decorated well, the staff is polite but that's about where it ends. I can only speak to the mani/pedi services...or lack there of. The shellac pedicure consisted of me sitting at the station which was an elevated bench with dog beds on it.. The woman who was doing my nails didn't even scrub my feet. She didn't clip my nails or work on my cuticles. She painted my toes. I could have done that myself. That's not the service I came in for. My fiancé was getting a manicure and experienced the same treatment. Her nails weren't clipped, cuticles weren't treated, hands weren't massaged. That's not a manicure... My toes are a mess, nail polish on my skin. My fiancé's fingernails aren't in any better shape than when we walked in the door. At the end they charged me $46 for this mess! There's a nail shop one block away. Mandarin Nails, with better prices, massage pedicure chairs and they will actually give you the service you expect. read more

I unfortunately bought a Groupon for a mani - pedi to use at this Salon. My first clue was that my friend and I were the only customers. On top of the $45 for the groupon they up charge $15 for both Polish removal and French manicure. My manicure was bubbled up and on some areas left unpainted. My pedicure was horrific, my nails were left jagged and uneven, the polish was thick and so poorly applied I am at a loss for words. After being there for almost 3 hours I decided to call back the next day and let the owner know of my dissatisfaction. I could tell immediately by her voice she was not happy but we agreed that I would come back the next day. Upon arrival she looked at my pedicure, made no comment, and asked what color I would like. When I asked her what was her opinion of my pedicure she refused to comment. The last straw was when I showed her the manicure that she had done. She refused to repaint them and even suggested that I had done the damage to them myself. Her reason for the accusation was that it was over 24 hours since the service had been done. Shellac polish lasts over 2 weeks. THIS IS AWFUL SALON! STAY WAY!!!! read more

Saw this salon featured on Facebook and loved the pictures. April was very helpful with walking me through booking online. Was greeted by everyone as soon as we walked in. Honey was my stylist and I appreciated her patience with my indecisiveness on the cut and color. She helped me select a hair color and walked me through the whole process. I was offered snacks and mimosas, first time ever in a salon. Dominique took care of my 8 year old daughter silk press and they chatted like old friends. I loved the whole experience and April made sure every client was comfortable and treated like family. Very happy with my new look and booked again for monthly maintenance. I purchased a groupon from here and called to schedule the visit. I had looked online about availability first and there was plenty open spots. When calling they had no availibilty for the same person who showed tons of availibilty online. When discussing this with the owner she was very rude and told me to go get my money back from groupon. Groupon is about getting your name out there and marketing to build your reputation. This is not the way to do this. Let's just say I have exchanged my Groupon to another place and Corasp is literally 2 minutes from my home. read more

I purchased a Groupon and really wasn't sure what to expect. When I called to make the appointment the lady on the phone was extremely nice which made me feel like I made a good decision. It was confirmed when I met April in person. My 13 year old daughter was with me and she even commented on how NICE April was. She is extremely knowledgeable and I could tell she loved her craft. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable during the service by explaining what she was doing. We had a wonderful conversation which made the time enjoyable.
