It is not a reliable company to trust on! I have them coming several times to my client in order to fix a issue and they scheduled me and canceled me without letting me knowing. I went over there and schedule one more time with them for today June 16 noon time and it's already 6 PM no one showed up I did not receive any call and they want to charge $400 for small pieces of plumbing. I am not satisfied with them the customer that works with them for a couple of years saying that he wished that there were more options but there isn't.. The son of the owner insured me that everything is going to be okay and he is in personally going to take care of that ... no one called me no one showed up the problem is still a problem! I called, two weeks ago. They never told me when they were coming. I got a call, didn't say who he was. He told me they had come to my house today (I was here all day and I answered the door, no one was there). Apparently he went in my back yard and looked at the pool. Then he said he "yelled" into the back door to let me know they were there. So he called to tell me that "we can't help a pool like yours"... DO YOU KNOW HOW YOU MAKE A CUSTOMER FEEL WHEN YOU USE THIS CHOICE OF WORDS? Then went on to tell me everything that was wrong with the pool DUH!? Of course, that is why I called YOU the "local experts". When we moved here 25 years ago, you ran a great pool business. We often bought supplies from you. No more. When I asked if we could do the water cleanup ourselves and then have them come to do a vac to waste, he said no, he just didn't think he could work with our pool. HE said " the best advise is to drain your pool, but YOU CAN'T DO THAT because we're in a drout." I said what is the alternative "Well you could call up this guy with a truck and he could take the water away, or bring water but we don't recommend that" SO WHAT CAN I DO!?! He never said. Finally, realizing that this guy was full of negativity and had no desire to help, no matter what the amount of money. HE simply said we can't clean up a pool "LIKE THAT". For years my dad used Coral exclusivity..In "The Day" they were a good reliable and fair company to do business with. That was some 25 years back...that Coral Pool's seems to have vanished. We are going to have to use Coral for some recall work- I'm am not all that excited to do so but nave no other option as they did the installation. We paid $650 for work we did not want or need. A broken water main filled our pool with mud and we used Coral Pool to clean up and replace the pool filter. We were not clearly informed that the $650 item for Deco-Seal filler was not part of the clean-up or repair. The $650 only covered the perimeter pool-deck interface, leaving the biggest part of the deck with old broken and sunken Deco-Seal filler. It made no sense to fix only 30% of the deck seal filler. read more

We purchased a house with a pool last fall, and for years they used Coral Pool Service, so we decided to continue with them. On a weekly basis they were ok, as long as there were no issues. But this summer I started noticing the presence of yellow algae, and I erroneously assumed CPS would see it too and address it early. Not! If I could clearly see the algae, why didn't they? On the weekends I had to get the water tested myself, buy chemicals to fix the problem and add them over days, brush the pool, get the water retested, and add more chemicals. These were all things that Coral should have been doing, but they seemed uninformed and uninterested. When I had the water tested I learned the phosphate level was extremely high, which is a great breeding ground for algae. But Coral's weekly service doesn't test the water for phosphates. Hello? Communication within their office is bad (left hand, right hand), and they spend no time communicating with you, the customer, to explain anything. There's no hand-off of information from one person to the next, and no follow-through. It's like you're one of many customers getting lost in the weekly service shuffle. If you end up having to do all these things yourself, why pay for a weekly pool service? Bottom line is avoid Coral Pool Service, and shop for one that does the work for you and takes an active interest in keeping your pool clear and clean. read more

soo disappointed - way overcharged for equipment (Leslie Pools cheaper) and Amazon charges 1/2 the cost with free shipping! also i was told i had black algae in my pool only to investigate further and discover my fiberglass pool cannot get black algae because it cant grow on fiberglass. Just had my pool redone. My usual pool service wasn't up to the task. Coral was among those recommended by Adams Pool to assist with the (apparently critical) period that begins immediately post construction when you fill the pool. They came out almost daily to sweep the sides and balance the chemicals etc. and make sure all is well. The technicians are very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and even schooled me on some key maintenance issues. Robert was even able to make recommendations on pool equipment. The only down side is (due to high demand) they don't take on new regular service clients in the summer- a testament to the superior customer service. Both Roger senior and Roger junior are very experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about the result. I am grateful for the tremendous support and advice that was provided to me. The result is that my sister's pool is now crystal clear and sparkling clean. I highly recommend you shop at Coral Pool Service for supplies and service and keep the money local. When I purchased a new pump/motor, they had the unit in the store in two days. That meant that the price was competitive with on-line retailers and the freight was zero, so shopping local was both good deal, but from an experienced resource. read more

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. I had an old pool sweep which Junior took apart on the spot a number of times and fixed at a nominal cost. Finally, It needed expensive parts, so we decided to get a new one. After we got the new sweep, they sent out their service man to be sure it was set up correctly at no charge to me! I would recommend them to anyone who wants great service for their pool! read more

The store I walked into today looked nothing like the picture for this business. The well-stocked shelves in the picture are now almost empty. The product I wanted (which you can see bottles of in the picture) was not there- just a few bottles of another product which the employee tried to sell me. He explained that they were no longer carrying the product I wanted and were carrying the (unfamiliar to me) replacement only. He did offer to order it for me. He stated that because the other product was what their service technicians use, therefore the product I wanted they couldn't be bothered carrying. So if you want Swimtrine go to Amazon. We have had nothing but problems with Coral, they make excuses about why pool is not clean an have had to fix pump more times than count. Finally the pump completely fried. If you want problems hire Coral. Going elsewhere. They don't even deserve 1 star! read more

We were having a problem with our pool heater and Coral Pools was referred to us. They sent Bob out to look at our heater and he proceeded to look at our heater and also pull out all the wiring from the conduit going to the heater, even though he is not an electrician. Bob told us that our heater needed to be replaced and also that the wiring was not up to code and needed to be redone before a new heater could be installed. He closed up the heater, charged us $120 for the visit and left. Now that it is getting close to summer and we need to heat our pool, we decided to call our home warranty company and have them look at the heater. They sent a pool repair service out and he opened up the heater and noticed that there were wires that were disconnected. They told us that they couldn't touch anything until the wires were connected. I called Bob and told him that I needed to have him come back out to connect the wires but he refused to do it. He claimed that it was a hazard because of the electrical wiring. I had an electrician come out to look at the wiring and he said there was nothing wrong with the wiring and there was no hazard. So here I am, out $120 to Coral Pools plus an additional $135 in service fees to another pool repair guy and electrician and my heater is still not working. The electrician called Bob and questioned his analysis of the electrical wiring and Bob started back-peddaling and saying he didn't remember some of the things he said. At this point, I called Coral Pools and asked to speak with the owner, Roger Sr. I was told that he was on vacation, so I spoke with his son Roger Jr. and told him that I needed someone besides Bob to come out to my house and fix the mess that Bob created. I called Jr. a few times and he didn't return my calls. When Sr. returned from vacation, he didn't return my calls either. Sr. is very unprofessional and not willing to even return a phone call. I finally spoke with Sr. and the only way he answered the call was when I didn't give my name. He was very rude to me on the phone and told me he would not send anyone out to connect the wires on the heater, even though I told him that my home warranty would not be able to do any work on the heater unless the wires are connected. He said that I should connect the wires myself and when I said that he should send someone out here to connect the wires, he hung up on me. I would not recommend Coral Pools to anyone. They don't treat their customers with respect and are not willing to correct any problems that they create. Stay away from these guys, they are bad news! I would rather give them no stars, but it's not an option. read more
