It's sad how 1 person can make an experience bad. I frequently order online from Halmark.com and pick up my order from the store. They called me on a Saturday to let me know that my package had arrived. I was unable to come pick it up until Monday. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who was unable to locate my package. She asked for help from another very helpful, friendly woman. Together they searched for a good 20 minutes. Another woman I assume was the manager asked them what they were doing. They explained the situation and she said, "Your package hasn't arrived yet." I said, "I got a phone call on Saturday saying it arrived, Could I be at the wrong location? Is there another location in Clinton?" she said, "We would have been too busy Saturday to have called anyone." The associate asked me what I ordered so she could know what size of package to look for. I replied "Elf on the shelf hot chocolate packets." The manager snipped at me and said, "We don't even sell elf on the shelf here." to which I said "Well I ordered it on Halmark.com. The associate laughed; the manager rolled her eyes and walked away. After she walked away the associates located the package. They were very apologetic and thanked me for my patience. I love that store, and I would have never thought twice about the whole experience, had I not been called a liar twice by the manager. I understand how stressful the holidays must be. I understand they were up to their ears (literally) in packages. Had that been my first time at the store I would never have come back. Otherwise it's a really great store. The associates were so kind to help me, and I know how busy they were, they didn't stop until they found my order. read more
