Elegant understated country modern decor, loads of space, beautiful lighting with faux gas lights and real candles, well plated dishes and graciously attired waitstaff transports you to just that festive atmosphere of elegant engagement. Although we found the dishes to be overly salted, JJ our garçon relayed it to the chef and Mike, the gracious GM offered us compensation with another choice or dessert. This was a lovely gesture that speaks volumes about the service. We declined his offer but the intention was worth it. An extensive wine list and cocktail option are delightful and the bar itself is a lovely way to strike up a chat before your meal. We made reservations through open table and somehow I got doubled booked so they even phoned me to tell me they would have to cancel. When I told Mike we were there enjoying the beautiful space he took the time to stop by for a chat. My wife and I had our wedding at Copperhill yesterday. We agreed that we were not interested in having a typical "wedding factor" wedding after working in catering as a bartender for more than 10 years. Copperhill is anything but! The delightful, modern farmhouse decor lent to a very nice ambiance and was a comforting atmosphere for ourselves and our guests. We were blown away by the food and my guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly to my liking with delicious browned potatoes, broccolini and a light chimichurri sauce (I think) on the side. A large number of my guests additionally complimented the quality of the drinks that were served. The bartenders and staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Having bartended for a decade, I was impressed as my family hit the bar pretty hard and no one waited long for a drink throughout the entire reception. First time dining out since covid and couldn't have felt more comfortable. We were going to dine outside but it was a humid night so we decided to dine inside. The tables were spaced very far apart and made us feel very comfortable. The food and drinks were both delicious! We had the short rib poutine and octopus for appetizer..amazing! I had the roasted chicken over mashed potatoes and mushrooms, it was a huge portion, piping hot, crispy skin and moist meat. Can't think of 1 negetave!! read more

This is our absolute favorite restaurant. From table to bar service we would come here 2x a week if we could. Beautiful interiors, each room is filled with intentional and interesting decor. It's arguably one of the best decorated restaurants on the island. That's more important than most restaurants realize. The food and drink are consistently good. Service is great, there are some really wonderful people working here. The only downside is the menu changes so infrequently. We couldn't come here even 1x/week because there are so few options and the specials that alternate are the same. I'd think the chef gets a little bored. I just really wish more updates were made to each category but at least the entrees. read more

Let me start by saying I was very excited to try this restaurant, I so wanted to like it. Here is the rundown of what we had. We had the poutine, I have been to Canada many times and have had some amazing poutine in my life, this poutine was quite good, although regular poutine they don't melt the cheese and they did. I would rate it 8/10. Next was the hummus and flatbread, it had a bit of an unusual herb flavor, not what I was expecting. It has chopped tomatoes, olives, cucumber and radishes, I could have done without some of that. The presentation was very nice, but the flavor was 5/10. Next we had the pork taquitos, this was probably the best dish of the night, 9/10. We had an order of the hand pulled burrata, this was very disappointing, it totally lacked any flavor. 5/10. We ordered the grilled romaine Caesar salad, it tasted so burnt, we sent it back, it was inedible 1/10. Next we had the Grilled Hanger steak, it was okay, nothing special. 6.5/10. Next we had the lobster roll, it was very fresh, but again on the bland side, could have used seasoning. 7.5/10. The service was very good, but overall it was a disappointment. Phenomenal food that's reasonably priced with NYC standards. Let me explain: Cocktail menu will appeal to all palettes and execution along with quantity will surpass your expectations. We started with the dates wrapped in bacon and stuffed with blue cheese. 4 decently sized dates that while flavorful, a tad too sweet for me but it's personal preference as my date still enjoyed them. Ramen carbonara was absolutely flavorful without being too heavy and just the right portion size. The beet salad was perfect and both dishes were enough to share without disappointment. For entrees, I had the skirt steak that was cooked the way I ordered it and accompanied with three potatoes covered in a thin layer of cheese. I would order this dish again without hesitation. My date had the Kale Salad and not only did she finish the entire thing, she also won't stop talking about it weeks later. For dessert, we each shared the deconstructed strawberry shortcake and chocolate hazelnut mouse. Both hit the spot and a great way to end the meal. Folks, the service at this restaurant was just as memorable as the meal. The menu changes per season and my first time here didn't even come close to putting that deep of a hole in my wallet. I dine out often in the city and I was beyond impressed to receive the total package at my first dining experience at this restaurant. Ordered: Short rib poutine, Ricotta cavatelli, and Pumpkin pie tart Pros-- The complimentary rolls were the freshest bread I've ever had. It came with a lovely thyme butter. The short rib poutine was hearty and packed with flavor (and a great price...about $10 for a big portion). The cavatelli dish had fresh ingredients which were well balanced--celery root, chard, and lamb. Cons--The pumpkin pie tart was typical pumpkin pie but the price ($10) was a bit much for the small serving. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! My boyfriends sister took me here for dinner one night for my birthday. She had been here before and highly recommended it, and after my experience... I do too! The decor and place setting is out of an Town&Country Magazine. I felt like I was having dinner in someone's mansion, the space is beautifully decorated and has all the feels of an old and cozy home. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated us to our table that was in the 'fireplace' room. The food and drinks were AH-MAZ-ING. High quality Manhattan style dinning on long island. I ordered the 'Nip in the Bud' cocktail, DELICIOUS....I had 4 no joke. Tasted like a rose and very refreshing! I also ordered the halibut as an entree, perfectly filling very fresh fish, great flavors on the plate. Beautiful paring. Went here for a Valentine's Day celebration the day after, and it was very delicious and beautiful dinner. The atmosphere is very nice at earlier hours and gets a lot more rowdy at night. The decor is rustic and it's an intimate setting when you're not at the bar. I wanted to try the poutine and inquired if they used real cheese curds, but they don't, sadly. We ordered the ramen cacio e Pepe, and the fondue special as an appetizer. We loved the fondue that was served with thin crackers and apples, extremely delicious! The ramen was good too but not a favorite. I ordered the polenta with mushrooms from the vegetarian section and my boyfriend ordered the artic char. We both enjoyed our meals, the polenta with mushroom was a bit too salty and very heavy, but the flavors were great. We ordered a pumpkin sundae which was tasty as well. Highlights of the meal was definitely the special fondue though I think. Overall it was a great experience! Very knowledgeable waiter and great service. read more

We went during happy hour and was hoping to be able to enjoy some drink specials and enjoy the dinner menu as well, but the server insisted happy hour specials were only at the bar and since we wanted to order an array of food, we opted to stay in the dining area. Started off with cocktails, the Rosemary Collins was strong and complimented my meal. For appetizers, we ordered the shortrib poutine and the oyster nachos (YUM). They oyster nachos are composed of fried oysters on top of homemade fried tortilla chips w/gourmet nacho fixins. Shortrib poutine was great, but would have preferred the fries to shortrib ratio to be 2:1, but that's just me. For my entree, I ordered the crispy pork. It was super tender and the skin was nice and crispy. My cousin ordered the Joyce fried chicken with the grits, chicken wasn't really crunchy. However, if you're into quantity over quality, this could be the dish that offers the biggest portion. We finished off with the flourless chocolate cake, it really wasn't my favorite thing. It was dense and hard. The opposite of what you would expect: light and fluffy. The meal was moderately priced and ended up to be $130 split but it was a three course meal with cocktails so I think it was well worth it. One of my favorite go-to's for dinner on Friday. Unlike some restaurants this place is spacious and it doesn't feel like the other tables are too close to you. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. It's good to have a reservation in advance though because the restaurant does fill up fast. The food is always high quality and the service is always on point. The items on the menu are well thought-out and unique creations. I only wish they had more vegetarian entree's though. I'm pescatarian but sometimes I do prefer to not eat fish and there's only one vegetarian entree. Desserts too could be better [Copperhill--I'm a fan of Creme Brulee if you're reading this]! Overall though, one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely a regular here and I highly recommend it. read more

Recently visited Copperhill and was more than pleased. Everything we ate was absolutely phenomenal with tons of flavor. The servers were pleasant and explain all of the meals to us and the owners were very kind ( I really enjoy when the owners engage with a customer) some of the meals we had included their ramen carbonara, ahi tuna tostada, crab poutine, beef cheeks, figs wrapped in bacon the list goes on and I was even more pleased with the next thing. My taste buds were having a party . Everything is made in house from the bread ( which is why ordering another basket will take a while - but I don't mind because it shows their compassion in everything they do) from there sauces to ice cream. All made it house, you don't get that often. Highly recommend this place and we can't wait to go back! read more

My fiancé and I came here with another couple for dinner. We ordered burrata, ramen carbonara and octopus for starters and the burrata was the standout dish. I didn't try any but my fiancé raved about the bread. If you have a big appetite, don't come here as the portions, particularly the entrees, are miniscule. While my hanger steak had good flavor, I was not a fan of the cut. I prefer my hanger to be sliced thinly against the grain. The cut was more of a rough chunk/chop. I was also disappointed because I wanted to order the beef cheeks with polenta, which were on the online menu. They were replaced by this steak on the actual menu. Other than the runner hovering over us to remove plates, service was fine. The cocktails here are outstanding. I can't wait to come back and try a few more. I had a "beast of burden" and the "bad seed" cocktail and this was the best jalapeno margarita I have ever had. It was amazing. This place is so cute and cozy and they have the best lighting of any restaurant I've been to this year. Most restaurants are either too bright or too dark. The room was lit just right; warm and glowing. Kudos to the design team. Everyone looked great in this lighting :) We are planning to return once they switch to the winter menu. read more

Came in for dinner on a busy Friday night with a party of four, note the restuarant has multiple rooms for seating and the area near the bar is very noisy. If that bothers you be sure to request a table in the other rooms prior, we had asked when we arrived and they could not accommodate us. They recently switched to their fall menu and although the menu is limited they have a nice selection. We started with the devils on horseback and the duck chiliquiles, they were both good but the sauce in the devils on horseback is a tad sweet. For entrees we had the hanger steak and the chicken. The chicken was phonomonal, highly recommend getting it. The hanger steak was also very good. Now, they can improve on service. Our drinks did not arrive until reminding our waiter after our appetizers arrived and were half eaten. Also, we had ordered two desserts (grape and pear crumble and the peanut butter profiteroles), pass on both, one had arrived and we had to ask about the other. The waiter then told us he forgot to put one in, which is fine but it didn't arrive till we finished our coffee and first dessert. It would have made sense to remove it from the bill but we didn't even get so much as an apology. So again, the food was good but the service can be improved. read more

Cocktails Bloody "bari" Pamplemoose Sweets; ricotta doughnuts Snacks; grilled corn Sides; cheddar grits Mains; baked eggs & pork taco Charming southern decor, with a farm to table menu. Cocktails were innovative-- the Pamplemoose so refreshing, properly done with one large cube. The bloody "Bari" was thoughtfully garnished with a little neck clam and the clamato juice mix was delicious. The cheddar grits were ultra creamy. The grilled corn with cotija cheese was presented with the husk pulled back. The baked eggs with chorizo was excellent. The pork taco was big enough for two people to share-- presented with two extra taco shells beneath them. Last we had the ricotta donoughts. The consistency was of a light cake sprinkled with powdered sugar on a bed of lemon cream sauce. Gwenn was our knowledgeable waitress who answered questions regarding the menu. I usually do not write reviews but today I got really upset. Service was horrible !! Today I took my husband out to this Resturant because I previously had a great time with my best friend. However, today once the food was served, the waitress never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything or everything was okay. We finally had to to call the waitress to give us the check after waiting 15-20 minutes finishing our dinner. Will not be coming back to this restaurant !!! read more
