Great experience. Great service. Great coffee. Great location. I got dolió which I think is 2 shots espresso w cream. Hot. Cute vintage gas station bldg w lots of kitsch decor inside. Tables to sit inside and medium siz wrap around patio outside. Looked like a drive thru too. Plays good music like Green Day and sublime etc nice place- def make a visit when you're on 7 avenue

Definitely the best breakfast bagel I've tried!! The bagel itself was sooooo good. I got the everything asiago and it has soooo much flavor. I got it with sausage. Would definitely try bacon next time. Went through the drive thru and ordering was super easy and quick even though the line seemed long. The girl who took my order was sweet and prompt. Cute little place. Definitely try the bagel sandwiches!!

If you are in the mood for a killer breakfast sandwich, this is your spot. The Eva bagel is amazing - with melted cheese and everything bagel seasoning on it. It made the perfect base for my perfect sandwich. The bagel was moist and delicious. I got my sandwich with bacon on it which was perfectly crispy. The place was pretty packed on a Sunday after church but we found a spot right after ordering. You order at the front from a cashier and they seemed busy and said a matcha would take a while, so I didn't get a drink - but I'd like to next time as they have a bunch of fun flavors. I enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the good weather. They have both inside and outside seating which is good for groups.

Was craving a bagel sandwich and decided to try Copper Star after seeing the reviews and photos. Let me preface this by saying I'm a Jersey girl living in the desert and probably have higher standards for bagels than most. I had the Frankenstein bagel with sausage egg and cheese which was very tasty and I enjoyed the flavors for sure. The texture just wasn't it for me. I found the bagel to be a little small and too dense, resulting in it being a bit flat. There wasn't any height and really no fluffy inside or slight crunch on the outside. The sandwich overall was small for what you pay. However, service was quick and friendly and I loved the indoor/outdoor space with seating. Felt very homey and welcoming.

I love the bagel breakfast sandwiches at Copper Star Coffee! Whether you choose bacon, pastrami, or sausage, you can't go wrong. Also, props to them for having a pork free breakfast sandwich option. So far, these are my favorite bagels in the Valley (yes, I like them better than Bagelfeld's). I come here regularly and appreciate their consistency. They have a friendly staff that provides great service, and it's a welcoming and diverse environment, which reminds me of my old neighborhood in South Minneapolis The tropical smoothie is great as well! I like that it's thick and not runny or watery like a lot of other smoothies. My one critique is, the salt bagels could have more salt on them, as sometimes there's only a few granules of salt. The ones I've pictured contain the salt level I prefer. This place is definitely in my Top 5 faves in Phoenix!

We stopped at Copper Star Coffee one morning in PHX after reading some stellar reviews--it looked like a cool spot for a cup of coffee and a bagel sandwich. The location is a true neighborhood gem: a renovated old gas station with a retro drive-thru under a carport, which definitely adds character. However, our experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Upon entry, the baristas didn't seem too friendly or thrilled to be there. As far as the vibe, don't get me wrong, I love a bit of Kendrick but blasting the explicit version of Kendrick Lamar at 8:30 AM, with kiddos around, and the neighborhood crew just didn't seem to like the baristas could read the room. Moving on to the food and drinks, I ordered a café au lait and my husband went for a cappuccino--both were just so-so. As avid coffee drinkers their version lacked any real spark. We also tried the bacon egg sandwich and a blueberry bagel. While it appears they make the bagels from scratch, as an avid bagel fan, I was left underwhelmed. The outdoor seating option was a plus, and I believe the place has a lot of potential. But based on our experience today, it's not a spot I'd recommend.

Copper star coffee it's a cute little coffee shop. They have some decent coffee a nice little spot too relax and talk with friends or to hang out by yourself. The service was also good no complaints. I'll definitely be going back here.

I love the bodega bagel and the coffee here. Also, if you're not feeling coffee, try their blueberry matcha, it is sooooo good!

I've lived in PHX for almost 5 years and for some reason I had never been here. My husband recommended we try it as I was craving a bagel and he loves the coffee here. I got the Bodega Bagel which comes with bacon, cream cheese and tomato. I got the cheddar jalapeño and felt like I couldn't taste any jalapeño. The bagel itself wasn't good either in terms of texture. I got the aztec cocoa to drink and it was okay. I think if you come purely for the coffee it's a good spot according to my husband but for me it wasn't particularly great in terms of the bagel. I do love how diverse the costumers are and love to support local business that are inclusive.

Frankenstein bagel- half everything and jalapeño cheddar bagel. Come with egg, cheese and I chose bacon

Paris was good, but the experience did not warrant any return visit. They had a huge variety of options (sweets, meals, snacks, etc) in a few places near the ordering counter. The setup reminded me a school cafeteria. You pick up a tray, use the tongs to select your choices, walk up to counter, see more items peruse, then pay at the counter. The store was well decorated, very bright & colorful -- and the seating was quite comfortable (the whicker seats anyway). We ordered a wide array of savory & sweets. The salad needed more dressing, a few of the savory pastries were a bit chewy (had they been out awhile, maybe?), and most of the sweets were decent. The polite gal behind the counter offered to warm up the savory pastries but we declined -- I believe the heat would have made them more chewy. It was a bummer we didn't enjoy the food more. I see there's one in our neck of the woods. Maybe, maybe! we will try that location.

Very welcoming space in an enormous lobby, and easy to access. Chairs, sofas, bartops, tables... the seating choices are endless. Well lit, with a security guard tucked away to keep watch. The menu is straightforward, all the expected coffee choices, and a more extensive food selection than I'd anticipated. I chose to combine the avocado toast and substitute the toast for an everything bagel. They asked if I'd like chili flakes on that and... of course! The cappuccino was excellent, with dense, stiff foam, deep flavor, and perfectly portioned. The avocado bagel was phenomenal, with good, chunky avocado, spread thick on a buttered and toasted bagel. Plenty enough to spread along both sides and have a bit left over. The flow of customers was steady and they worked through all of the orders quickly and efficiently... really could not ask for a better quick coffee breakfast experience.

The 11-Year Flashback: I looked back at my review from 11 years ago when I docked them a star for the "nightmare parking." Back then, I was a "to-go" only person who never envisioned myself as a laptop-hipster hanging out. Well, times change! I'm bumping them up to 5 stars now. Maybe it's the new competition nearby or my better timing, but the parking is a breeze, and I've officially embraced the "comfy chair" lifestyle. The "Cheers" Factor: What really sets this place apart is the people. After a decade of visits, it truly feels like Cheers--where everybody knows my name! Getting to know the folks behind the counter makes every visit feel like coming home. The Sip of the Night: I shifted from my usual plain Cappuccino as my target drink to include in a review to feature their Espresso Martini. I went with a Reposado base instead of the typical vodka, and it was stellar. With two full bars in addition to the coffee and pastry bar, craft drinks truly abound here! (Note: they have an amazing cappuccino too) The Comfort Classics: You cannot leave without the food. My go-to favorites? The Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese and the legendary Chocolate Chip or Red Velvet cookies. Return Factor: 100% I've been coming here for a decade, and it's still the gold standard.
