I should have went to Amazon. The owner, Dan, sold us a Ricoh mfp. This model (M C240fw) was our second choice since he said that printer that would have been the next generation of our previous model was on backorder. The C240fw was a total fail for us. It didn't function with our software. Office Supplies Unlimited offered "support" that was at best, a complete waste of money and time. On top of all of that, the toner for this printer must be bought through a Ricoh dealer, such as this company, and costs about $600 for replacement cartridges. Which we needed every few months. When one of the cartridges started leaking toner throughout the copier and turning every document pink, Dan wouldn't replace or refund for the defective toner that we bought from him due to the "age of the printer and toner." Again, we bought the printer from him earlier in the year and the incredibly expensive toner from him a couple months prior. At this point, we are draining the last bits of toner from the cartridges and then will be throwing the printer into the trash. Which we should have done before spending any money on the toner or support, but I just didn't expect to have such a lack of accountability from this company. Frankly, we feel like we were robbed, but lesson learned....

Mel edited the formatting for us, and printed and folded 250 copies for us in about an hour. That's the 4-star part. Star #5 is for Mel (FYI: he's South African/Zimbabwean, not Australian) personally. We accidentally left the USB drive, which also contained a whole set of photos for that Saturday morning event, in his computer. Mel drove in early Saturday morning from his home to open the shop and retrieve the drive for us so that we would have it in time for the event. That's above and beyond, and that's why that K-place won't ever get my photocopy business again.

I tried to coordinate with the guy I bought it from but we were just never able to connect so I pushed the $800+ chair in the corner and let it sit there. When I finally was able think about the chair again, I started with the manufacturer to find authorized service dealers. I wanted the chair fixed so I was willing to pay a service fee - that seemed reasonable. I came across Valley Office Furniture and they were not only the first of a few different local dealers to respond but were very helpful and friendly. Made an appointment for the following Monday. I went in and the gentleman who took care of me stood there, with me looking over his shoulder, and took the chair apart a piece at a time and showed me exactly what each piece did. He fixed the gas cylinder (there is a little screw on top of the cylinder that was screwed in too far) and even tried to fix another part of the chair with replacement and spare parts he has in his sizable warehouse. When he was done, he individually cleaned and lubed each screw, torqued them all down and wiped the chair clean. When all was said and done - they wouldn't even accept my offer to pay which I was ready and happy to do. This was by far the best customer service experience I've had in a LONG time and not because there wasn't a charge - it was because the business took MY needs into account before theirs. I didn't get grief, attitude or anything else - I received a smile and a whole lot of help. Very courteous folks. I'm a fan and will not go anywhere else for my office equipment.

I was cash and carry, but they can probably help arrange delivery and installation options for a fee. Selection is variable and limited based on availability, so do not expect a lot of inventory. Although you may be lucky like I was! One of the staff was very helpful in showing me the selection and demonstrating the features of the chair. I called around our local postal stores and home office supply stores. Office Depot seemed to be the most reasonably priced. I had 3 pages to fax and an employee helped me through the process. He was very nice and patient. Rate was reasonable. First page was free and $2 thereafter. Other employees in the store I came in contact with were also nice and greeted me. The Fax machines were in the same area as the TSA Precheck enrollment/renewal service. Overall satisfied with the experience. It's very rare I visit an office supply store.
