    Gorilla care
    Wishing C.

Copart Chicago-North lot workers basically destroyed the leather interior of my 2016 Corvette Z06, because they don't give a F&%K. I purchased my 2016 Corvette Z06 from this Copart location a few months ago. In these photos, you can see the ADDITIONAL damage, besides from the accident, that Copart employees caused to the car due to their complete lack of caring, and not being careful with this valuable machine. I now have to pay over $1500 additional in repair expenses to re-cover both leather seats, and the center armrest console, because uncaring gorillas put heavy parts onto the front seat area with absolutely no protection, not even taking 30 seconds to put some cardboard beneath. It would be clear to anyone with a brain, that putting heavy parts with sharp ends sticking out (like radiator assemblies) that they would mark, damage, dent, or even cut the leather seats. When we opened the car upon first receiving it, I could not believe my eyes seeing these heavy parts simply thrown on the seats with no protection beneath. This is my 9th auction car purchase, all over $20k, from Copart, and the first time I have ever experienced such negligence. Even some cheaper cars my associates bought ($3k Fiat Abarth) were handled with much more care. This kind of careless treatment shouldn't be inflicted on a cheap car, much less a $100k-when-new supercar that had been my dream to buy for many years. ALMOST FORGOT: One other gem of my experiences with Copart-Chicago North. The Z06 had its hood with the car. It was not attached, but was in multiple auction photos. I had a transporter pick up the car, as it was going to NJ before shipping to Europe. Day before the transporter came, I emailed the manager there reminding them to please just somehow affix the hood to the car - plastic wrap, tape, anything just so it was in place on the nose of the car. Then, the morning AFTER my transporter came and picked up the car, I got an email stating that they did not tape the hood to the car, it was sitting on the ground separately, and since my transporter driver had neither the time to attach it nor a separate place in his cabin to store it (was not his job to do this), basically my $1500 hood was left at Copart lot as garbage and I was SOL. Another $1500 I had to spend due to uncaring and stupidity on the part of workers at this God-awful location. So thanks, Copart Chicago North, and the idiots there working in the yard, who didn't give a F&%K, destroyed my seats & console, and forced me to spend, unnecessarily, over $1500 more on repairing this great car.

The salesperson was completely disengaged, offered no guidance, and had zero personality or sense of urgency. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. Even more concerning, no one from management ever stepped in, acknowledged us, or attempted to assist at any point. Also worth mentioning, the vehicle we test drove hadn't even been properly detailed. The interior was disgustingly dirty, to the point it was embarrassing. If it hadn't been cleaned yet, that should have been communicated upfront instead of presenting it that way. It really summed up the entire experience. The highlight (if you can call it that) was a $2,000 trade-in offer on a well-running vehicle with a brand new engine. When we questioned it, we were casually told we'd be better off selling it ourselves. No explanation, no attempt to earn our business, and no manager stepped in to address it. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how this place operates. We didn't come in expecting anything unrealistic, just a fair conversation and basic professionalism. Instead, we got dismissive attitudes, low effort, and an offer that was frankly insulting. We left, and not because we couldn't make a deal but because there was clearly no one there interested in making one. Plenty of dealerships out there that actually want your business. This is not one of them. The experience matched the offer... low effort and even lower value.

On a fridged day I was going to work seeing several accidents along the way. Little did I know someone would lose control while I was sitting at a stop light and crash into my SUV leaving it immobilized. It usually takes hours to just get a tow truck to come and give you a jump start on a fridged day let alone tow you to safety. I was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection. I remembered the great service I got from ALL WAYS TOWING and hoped they could help. They were there in minutes!! Paul hooked up my SUV and pulled it safely to a nearby parking lot. Ken was in a second truck and told me to warm up in the passenger seat while we waited for the police. After I gave my report, Paul took my SUV to their lot and Ken offered to drive me to work just a few blocks away. I can't thank them enough!! Paul, Maggie, and Ken didn't make me feel like just another customer. They made me feel like family.
