Whatever this company's correct name is - Sedgwick or Nationwide Appraisals (both at same address),…read moreit provided terrible claim service from start to finish! First, the appraiser did not follow protocol. He did not tell the body shop that he was there. He spent less than five minutes looking at the car and did not even look underneath it (where all the damage was). The body shop manager asked him to stop in the office before leaving, but he didn't. After two weeks of stalling and no communication, he turned in an estimate that the body shop called "a joke", which caused them to have to submit a supplemental estimate. The insurance company had to ask several times for the initial estimate, and more than once for the supplemental estimate. I wrote to Sedgwick/Nationwide asking them to please respond with the estimate because the body shop, the insurance company, and I were all waiting for it so work on the car could begin, but Sedgwick/Nationwide ignored me and wasted more time. By this time, three weeks had passed. After one month, my car was ready, but the body shop could not release my car to me because Sedgwick/Nationwide had still not responded to the supplemental estimate. I was without a car all this time. The body shop released my car for my personal check and promissory note - they didn't have to do that. Two more weeks passed before I learned from the body shop that the supplemental estimate was finally accepted. Sedgwick/Nationwide never communicated with me AT ALL, and their communication with the insurance company had to be forced (the insurance company wasn't much better). I only learned anything from the body shop. Sedgwick/Nationwide deserves negative stars.

The repair garage confirmed this, yet it was not appraised by nationwide. The appraisal was rife with typos, inaccuracies, and even missing information. Total waste of time.
