I can tell you first hand, when it comes to this store the positive reviews are real. The one negative reviewer who in his post seems to know all the ins and outs jewelry business, like what machines are used to evaluate coins, and what the price of platinum is. Who really knows the price of platinum and palladium besides someone in the business. Gold and Silver yes, but platinum palladium? What also doesn't make a lot of sense is if you have 48K worth of coins, like he claims, wouldn't it make more sense to sell it to another collector or at a coin show to get as much as possible. This makes me very skeptical of the negative review left by Jeff S. and makes me believe the review was left by a competitor or a jackass. What I do know, is I went to 3 different stores to get coins evaluated that my father left to me recently when he passed away in October. This store was the last store of the 3 I went to and they gave me the most money for my coins of the 3 stores. In my opinion the difference was pretty significant. I was very happy and realized that the other 2 stores were basically taking advantage of me. After the deal was completed and I had been paid I asked the the owner Bert I believe his name is and his assistant Jon, why the 3 appraisals from the 3 different shops were of so drastically different for the same items. They explained to me that he could not speak for other shops but in their shop they give the best possible price on items to keep their inventory full and they do not have high margins on items they buy and sell. They keeps the doors open by doing high volume and repeat customers. Well guys you earned a new customer, I will be back for that Rolex one of these days. I wanted to wear the watch in her memory. I knew I wouldn't have much luck getting a replacement down south and I was in a hurry to get packed and on the road, so called Leonard's. They were closing in about 30 minutes, but I was a bit desperate and asked if I could stop by. The woman on the phone was so incredibly nice and said she could get me in despite having other customers at the time who were being serviced. She mentioned there is a battery shortage, but she'd see what they could do. I ran over and leave Chiluba they had the right battery. They got my moms watch done in maybe ten minutes. Both the women were so sweet, considerate and friendly. They were very attentive to the other customers and I could see that they truly care about their business. The one woman even showed me how to change the time and date on my moms watch and carefully instructed me so as not to break the turner. They both asked me about my trip (I didn't mention it was for my moms memorial), and about the area I was headed to and then wished me safe travels. I can't thank these two women enough. They have no idea how much it meant to me to be able to wear the watch and that their kindness put my distressed and saddened heart at ease even for a few minutes. Thanks ladies!
