Leonard Auction exceeded our expectations! Easy to deal with and netted fast results for items we auctioned. I would highly recommend them.

I do not know why they have 3.4 stars. It is a complete misrepresentation of Sonny and Bill's…read moreefforts for what they did for us. When Sonny came in, she sized up my mom's home, gave us a very fair and reasonable price, and we agreed on a date that would work for us both. Soon after, Sonny and her team worked right away and itemized and organized the house for the estate sale a week or two later. I was completely impressed on how things were set up and categorized- as well priced accordingly and fair so the items can move. They worked incredibly hard, and from what I understand, it went well and without a hitch. The rest of the items- very large things and a lot of junk was pitched after they weren't sold which they clearly stated before we signed the contract with them. That was where Sonny's Son came in: Bill... Bill and his team worked tirelessly- 2 or 3 days and LATE nights total, and cleaned out the 3500 square foot house from TOP to BOTTOM. There were no scratches or dings to the walls in the floors or in the the trim work when moving the extremely heavy and bulky items. Along with that, Bill continuously followed up with me, and put our minds at ease daily and chased after the hiccups that LRS (Lakeshore Recycling) created when they: yes LRS dropped the ball. He went to the village, tagged all the bulky items (which were many), and cleaned up everything afterwards- spotless. A Moment In Time are really wonderful people. They took an extremely stressful situation, and made it incredibly easy to transition from a packed home to selling the property, completely CLEAN and EMPTY. Sonny and Bill, a long with the "team" are a Godsend. You need to call them if you're stuck in that position. If you're reading this review, then I know that you are. Call them now. Put your mind at ease because I know there is so much more to handle. This is one LESS a thing you have to worry about. They will treat those things as their own... We Thank You Profusely, All Our Best!!! Tim, Veronica and Mom W (You know who we are).

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We sought out other companies, but came back and were attracted…read moreto the fact this company has advertised 30% and had availability. This was my biggest mistake. When we were ready to have the sale, other companies were booked out (and now I know why), and we wanted to try to get the house up for sale. So we called back and essentially asked if we could deal with someone else. We dealt with the son, who was kind, gentle, and understanding. He charged us less for set up (an extra $100 because we had boxes- even though the whole house was sorted through) and promised that the estate sale would be well controlled, and we would be provided an itemized list. He did warn-- when there are items in the kitchen - like multiples plates, or glasses, it would be listed as "Misc Kitchen." We were ok with that. When the photos came up, not only was I shocked, but disappointed. Barely anything had been done for set up- I had already separated most of the house. After the sale, I went to the home and was disgusted. There was food in the fridge, open drinks in there as well. Sellable office items were mixed in garbage bags with wet garbage and McDonalds bags. Clothes that I had separated were thrown into a huge pile in the garage (that has oil on the ground). All mixed together-- sizes, styles, etc. Then I recognized that it was so high because there was a COUCH under the items. A couch to be sold. Just sitting under a pile of clothing. When I got the list, I was even more disappointed. There are MANY items UNACCOUNTED for. The answer? $700 of Misc. This was NOT told to us, and in fact indicates not only was the sale not well-controlled, but they did not correctly itemize the list. Vintage typewriter, vintage toys, vintage lamps, vintage lunchboxes, VR set, my dad's tools that he had worked his whole life to save, lamps, etc. etc. The son blocked me when confronted, and the owner just called to talk down to me and said everything they did was legal, and she was so pleased with their service. I hung up on her as she disagreed with me and said adamantly said they were the only company that provided an itemized list. EVERY company I talked with provided an itemized list, and likely an actually well-controlled sale. I was done with the rudeness. No one deserves to be talked with that way. Supposedly they have before and after pictures, which makes me laugh because the house was disgusting. The bathrooms were piled high with things that were all sellable. The empty crawlspace that we had carefully taken items out of--was refilled with things. SO many of the items left were in disarray. DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. I should've trusted my gut. I will live with the guilt that I dishonored my family and their possessions by trusting them. I know they will rebuttal this, as they are defensive for every bad review, but to be proud of this is so utterly disgusting. UPDATE: Response to "owner" After our setup was completed... -- This is accurate. All those who helped plan the sale were shocked at how little planning went into it, but said if I felt comfortable selling my family's belongings with you, then it was a right fit and it would be ok. We waited because I trusted Bill and felt the outcome could be great. There were several issues that existed prior to the sale that we had already discussed... -- Several is generous. One is accurate. The house was vacant. The garbage was not full. Leaving it all around the house and mixed with items for sale is unacceptable. Not just in the garage- In the front closets and in the bathroom. There were 5 bags total. TWO in the garage. The garbage, also, was still mostly empty when I arrived. Mixing with sale items- unacceptable. The pile of clothes to the ceiling was in broken and wet boxes. Regarding the items that were placed in the bathroom... - Appreciate that, but drawers were full-most items had 0 personal connection. I appreciate the effort, but there were many items still sellable in both bathrooms. Also-most of the personal photos were the "stock" photos that came with the frames. I also contacted you regarding a strong and unpleasant odor coming from one of the bedrooms... - Accurate. But as I told you, it was due to neighbors spray. It lasts minimally and is not dangerous. Also- Fallacy frenzy here-- None of this has anything to do with the MANY unaccounted for items, garbage everywhere, MISC list, lack of full set up, packing the crawlspace with boxes and bags, not taking the 5 large sellable items out of the crawlspace, and the horrific customer service by the actual owner. Bill, you are a gem. We adored you. But we can't ignore the disservice done. Response 2: I appreciate that Sonny edited and added to the response from Bill. Horrible customer service by Sonny is a GENEROUS description. -same applies to amounts listed as miscellaneous...SMALL items? Share your documentation. BY ALL MEANS. I will share mine too. You should be ashamed.

She took care of everything, making sure my parents felt comfortable throughout the process. She was especially patient and kind with my mom, who was anxious and overwhelmed preparing to sell their home of nearly 50 years and most of their belongings. The Estate Edit not only advertised and sold several large-ticket items before the sale, but also staged everything beautifully. They even created an INCREDIBLE, customized video that highlighted the items for sale while celebrating the history of our family home--a special touch we'll never forget. During the sale weekend, Molly checked in with me daily to update me on what was selling. What could have been a stressful, emotional process turned out to be smooth, professional, and even more successful than I expected--we sold and earned more than I had hoped, and their services were worth every penny. I can't recommend The Estate Edit highly enough!
