I should have known from initial contact with this auction house that my dealings with them would be terrible. Every question I asked at first was met with defensive replies, but I continued the dialog. I accepted their terms after hearing that they were only dealing with me because it would be mutually beneficial. Then the demands began...I'm paying them a fee to pick up and auction an estate for which they intend to make at least a 60% profit on the items they sell, yet planning the pick up date was seemingly a major nuisance. I was told they could not pick up unless I provided a video from the loading dock to the apartment where the estate items were located. If I didn't they had to reschedule. It's impossible for me to reschedule since they were aware I was under a deadline to vacate the apartment. I'm now one week away from the vacate date and they advised they will not honor the contract they sent, and I signed. Their claim was that they did not countersign the contract. Moreover they claimed distance from the dock to the apartment was too far and had stairs. Stairs , what stairs? There are no stairs. And how do you know how far away it is ? I provided an aerial shot of the building to make locating the dock, and the apartment, easier. Plus I arranged an escort for them from the building security team to facilitate the move.
