I came to the new Andersonville location in June and bought an amazing couch! I love it so much! Excellent and friendly customer service. The store doesn't do deliveries but they have a delivery company they work with and they walked me through the process and we set it up right away. They let me buy their floor model sofa and delivered it the next day! I was so happy because I really needed a couch right away to get my new apartment up and running. Very cool store. Lots of great choices. I'm so happy I was recommended to come here! read more

A lot of nice, modern styled furniture pieces here; unfortunately, the dining table that we liked didn't have any chairs to match without fabric on them. Staff was approachable and helpful. read more

Lots of cool stuff, especially MCM. Not cheap but everything is in excellent condition. Lots of modern accoutrement to finish the look, too. read more

There was small pedestal on display in the window. I went in to ask about it. It appeared to be possibly made of red marble. I asked the person in there about it. She was kind of reticent, about the pedestal table, & material it was made of, I lifted it and looked under it, it was painted common clay terra cotta, from Mexico. I was dismayed, about their deceptive practice. If it is made of clay say it, rather pretending it was a rare porphyry object! It turned out, most of her pieces were reproductions made in third world countries, & when asked if she knew where they were imported from, again switch and bait and no accurate response. If You are an aficionado of mid 20th century furnishings, would be better off to look for vintage originals, rather these look alike overpriced reproduction pieces made in Mexico or Thailand. read more

The district has a very great collection of mcm and vintage to new vintage look pieces. We have been quite a few times and the selection changes and stock is rotated frequently. The ladies there are fabulous. They are Soo knowledgeable about the items they sell. The quality of the staff makes the district sales experience elevated compared to other similar stops. Thanks for the great service. read more

I stopped into District last Saturday Oct 24 because I had seen their frequent posts on Instagram. I was looking for a credenza and dining chairs, there wasn't much in the store for me to look at but they said they could email me some links of furniture they could order. I was asked to give them my name and email address & phone number, which I did, and now 9 days later I still have not received an email or a phone call from them. What I don't understand is why do they keep posting on Instagram to get customers and once someone does come into their store there is zero follow through. Is it that they have so much business that have no desire to get more. Or just too busy to send an email, which they said they would do. Anyway that's it for me, I'm certainly not going to fight to give them my business. read more

Andrea is such a great employee! She helped my boyfriend and I with finding a couch for our new home - and we absolutely love it! They were even able to get delivery within a week of us moving in - none of these other stores saying we would have to wait until end of summer. I'm obsessed with their showroom highlights on Instagram; I want to buy all their furniture! I know I will be back because of their excellent taste and friendly customer service! Parking is easy, found a spot right out front on a weekend. read more

We went to District Chicago looking for a new dining room set. We could not have been more impressed! Our salesperson, Randa, went absolutely above and beyond to help us. She took the time to help us compare different table-and-chair combinations, until we found one that was just right. She then very patiently worked with us to redeem some finicky gift certificates, trying multiple approaches until we got one which worked (she divided up the cost of the set into four invoices, which she texted to me). Also, she helped us arrange delivery of our new dining set through a third-party service. District's owner inspected the furniture ASAP, so that it could be sent on its way to us the next day (which was very much appreciated, as I was going out of town for the holidays) The following day, Randa called us to let us know that the table was already assembled (a very pleasant surprise!) and that the movers were on their way and were slated to arrive earlier than expected. This was superlative service from District overall and Randa in particular. We recommend District Chicago very highly! read more

Hands down the best furniture store in Chicago! Beautiful, eclectic collection of furniture and gifts. Top-notch customer service. read more

District is a true Chicago gem. We LOVE all the brand new and vintage pieces that we've purchased from them. Our Gus Modern sectional is awesome. We've also purchased a leather chair, a vintage dresser and numerous accessories. They introduced us to a local artist who created three large stunning pieces for us. Chris, Randa and the entire team are fun to work with. Their instagram is addicting. Their newly expanded space is full of surprises. A must visit Chicago design shop! read more

I went to District last night to see the art by Erin Kaya that he is showcasing---Not only was the art inspiring, but the entire store was filled with restored mid-century furniture and accent pieces---What a find!!! Check out both the art by Erin Kaya and the entire District store!!! read more

Cool place, always new furniture, great staff! I love coming here to see what they have in their store. This place is always stocked with high-end stuff at a great price. I only wish my place was bigger so I could buy more! read more

Awesome selection of furniture and accessories - even though its a smaller shop in the City they have a TON of good stuff in there! The shop is well laid out, not overly crowded, yet fully stocked. Everything from sofas to dressers to buffets. Their inventory changes frequently (because many of their pieces sell so quickly) and the owner/staff must have a keen eye for style. The customer service here is beyond exceptional - very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is honest and not just pushing for a sale. read more

This place was fantastic! The owner was kind and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for home decor and furniture.

The quality of their furniture is garbage. Arrives damaged the staff treated me horrible. I spent $3500 and literally got screwed over with all damaged goods and no fix for it. Worst experience ever. read more

The District is a fun shop. I purchased a Gus sectional (4 out of 5 stars) and a couple of household items over the past couple of years. I also attended a fun macrame class last holiday season, including delicious pie and whiskey rye cider drinks. That was delightful. The staff has always provided attentive service (shoutout to Andrea for helping with the sofa!) Def worth stopping in and checking it out. read more

Adore this place! I check it out every few weeks and it's always filled with amazing finds. My favorite is my amazing green couch. This store really has show stoppers! read more

My fiancee and I have purchased several pieces from Chris with the help of Allen, who is absolutely wonderful. We have purchased: -Two highboys (including an almost perfect/untouched 40+ year-old Lane) -A cool Danish teak dining table -A coffee table with matching end tables -A bunch of glassware that we use all the time -Very interesting glass coasters (that often spark conversation; they're pretty dope) -And a fun sunburst wall clock In the blink of an eye, we have gotten about a dozen items that we're very happy with. We just rented a new place, and the stuff we got from District has made it feel like home. read more

This place is great! Awesome selection of cool couches with lots of fabric options and anything else you would need for cool decor options. Will be back for sure plus they have the cutest French Bulldog that hangs out from time to time at the store. read more

Super friendly. Great selection. Always updating inventory. Make the effort to come here.

Having been to nearly every vintage furniture store in the "north-of-downtown" neighborhoods, I can honestly say this is the best! While other places charge astronomical prices, the owners at District purposefully want to get their products into the hands of all buyers. I'd prefer to support a local business and not have Ikea furniture in my home, but I couldn't afford the $1000 for a dresser. Not only did District have numerous, affordable options, but they also offered to custom paint my dresser - FREE. When they didn't have an item I was looking for, they took down my name and email to reach out when something comes in that meets my desires. They also stock the room with local artists' work - can't beat that! I LOVE this place! read more

We LOVE this place. We have gotten 3 pieces of rehabbed furniture and ordered 3 pieces from Joybird through them. They are wonderful Their pieces are reasonably priced and well done. They are kind, energetic, and really helpful. They make furniture shopping so fun. We cannot wait to go back there. read more

We walked into this store on a whim a while back and loved the furniture options. We ended up purchasing a Joybird couch and chairs that we are very happy with! We've had the furniture for about a year now and I called District to ask a question today. They went above and beyond to help answer the question and to be of help - more than I could have expected (and much, much more than I would have received from most stores). I am very impressed with their customer service! Before today I was someone who was simply happy with a purchase. Now, I'm a huge fan of this store, will recommend to others, and will go back to them first the next time I'm looking for furniture or something special for the house! read more

Took a look. Furnishing daughter's first apartment, and prices were a bit higher than we wanted to spend. Nevertheless, mid-century modern furniture on display in this shop was of uniformly above average quality to go with the above average used furniture pricing. If you want some quality pieces and are not budget constrained, might be worth your time to take a look. A few blocks walk North of Damen CTA stop. read more
