When the food came, it was obvious that the platanos were freshly made. Carlos also brought a bottle of brazza sauce (also called "salsa de amor). He told us we could put it on any item we wanted. It's a mild sauce which is mayonnaise based with cilantro. We enjoyed this dish. Everything was mildly seasoned yet still well flavored. Nothing went to waste! We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. Their menu is clear and easy to read with pictures of most of the dishes also displayed in an overhead lighted menu board. We each ordered a beef and a chicken taco along with pupusas. Our food was delivered to us a short time later. The tacos looked and tasted very fresh. We loved them. The pupusas were freshly fried(?) and piping hot. Yummy. We saw several other orders come out with a bowl of sopa de res. It looked and smelled great chock full of veggies and a hunk of meat. Even though it was hot outside, I think that might have been the dish to get. Next time.

The mashed potatoes were watery and very salty, and the broccoli was literally sitting in so much water that almost half of the bowl was full of it. The rice tasted like microwave rice, and the French fries were just ordinary fries. The biggest disappointment was the meat. It was extremely fatty, chewy, and had almost no flavor. The chicken was overcooked and tasted like leftovers that had been reheated. For an Argentinian restaurant, the quality and preparation of the meat should be one of the highlights, but unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. Honestly, we could barely eat our food and ended up leaving most of it. What made the experience even worse was that, despite barely being able to eat the food, we were still charged half of the meal. The total bill was over $85, and that included $5 for a small cup of what tasted like microwave rice. Just in case the food looks half-empty in the pictures, we did put some of the food onto our plates to try it. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat it, so that's why some of the containers look partially empty. As someone who was genuinely looking forward to trying Argentinian food, this experience was incredibly disappointing. It is served with a salad and topped with an egg. The Queperi is essentially beef brisket served with cheesy rice, fried plantains, and yuca. It is a delicious and satisfying plate. If you like hot dogs or sausage, try the Pique Macho. It is a huge plate of sautéed beef and sliced sausage cooked with onions, finished with slightly cooked tomato wedges and topped with jalapeños. The beef and sausage sit over a bed of steak fries, and all of the flavorful juices soak into the fries, giving them an incredible flavor. The downside is that some of the meat is a bit tendonous, but the overall flavor is very good and the dish is definitely worth trying. The Lomo Saltado is another good choice. The flavor is quite good, and the portion is generous. They also have a bakery section with Napoleons and a variety of Bolivian baked goods, including cheese bread. Everything we tried tasted fresh and was pretty good. Overall, there are lots of interesting Bolivian dishes to try here, and the generous portions make it a good place to explore different flavors.
