I ate here last in Summer 2022 and found the food bland. However, I gave it another try as I'd heard the quality has improved, and I'm glad to report that tonight's dishes were mostly good. Sizzling steak bites were the highlight, coming with mushrooms and an umami-flavored oily sauce. Outlaw ribeye was tender and the char gives it distinction above other Ribeyes in the area. Mashed potatoes were good also, not excessively buttery. Lowlights were the baked beans (bland) and rolls (not hot when they came out, and bland). Chicken pot pie soup was good but not great. Prices were standard overall at 90$ for 3 people, though $5 for 5 pieces seems high. The service is just ok. I split my dish with someone, but didn't get an extra dish to split the soup, nor an extra knife to split the ribeye. Overall would give it 75% based on tastiness and service. read more

Garbage! I was staying at a hotel down the street, was tired and didn't feel like going far for food, saw this place, had some decent reviews. Talked to the hotel staff, they told me the food was good so off I went. The young lady at the front told me happy hour was going on at the bar if I wanted to eat there. I should have left when I asked the waiter about happy hour and he told me it only applied to Bud, Coors and some other crappy beer. I asked for his food suggestions, he suggested the prime rib. That wasn't happening, it's extremely hard to find good prime rib, I only order it a high end restaurants. He told me everything else was great. I ordered the steak and rib combo. The waiter came back with beans and bread. The bread was good, the beans tasted like chalk. At least the salad was good. He then comes with the food, I didn't have to take one bite to know it was going to be horrible. Looked like a steak from Denny's and it tasted worse. No flavor, no seasoning and they don't know how to sear a steak. Barely any grill marks on the steak, that makes a huge difference in flavor. One of the worst steaks I've ever had. Could only stomach three bites. The ribs are just OK. Typical "we can't really cook so we will drown the ribs in BBQ sauce" ribs. Edible but far from good. Traveling for work, I was not paying for the meal so I didn't make a big deal about it. Had I been playing, it would have been a different story. Horrible place, if you are a true steak person, do not go there. If you believe Sizzler/Outback steaks are good, this is your spot. Actually Outback is much better than this place. read more

Double family birthday dinner. We had a group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us on short notice. This is not the first or second place I generally think of when I want a steak/red meat but this visit made me change my mind. The prime rib was exactly what I was looking for and cooked to perfection. It was seasoned well and the horseradish was perfectly creamy. Several other members of the group had the prime rib and we were all in agreement. The only downside was the bacon mac n' cheese, it lacked flavor and I would get a different side the next time but you barely need a side with the beans/bread that come with your meal. We had a reservation. That didn't work out. The food was mediocre at best. The waitress brought our drinks halfway through our meal on a bottomless Sunday when we ordered waters. They ran out of prime rib rib at 11:30 on a luncheon that lasted from 9:30 to 1:30. The people serving did what they could and served a really small prime rib at that time that lasted a few people's servings. The waitress was less than mediocre. She didn't communicate with bartender and we got charged for drinks at the bar and our tab. We didn't say anything and just wanted to leave. Bottomless...waitless....foodless..won't be back. Haven't been here in forever but heard about they're dinner specials and it's a really good deal! For around $12 you can get a steak and side of your choice which also comes with beans and bread. You can also choose chicken, shrimp, etc. For HH apps, we ordered bacon wrapped jalapeños and shrimp. They were good, small portion not sure if it was bc it's happy hour or if that's the normal portion size. We ordered an additional side of Mac n cheese for only $2 and the serving was huge (no complaints) and it was sooo good!! My bf ordered the asparagus which was a premium side and it was about $4 to get that added. There were only about 5 so I don't think that premium side was worth it. I went with green beans as my side and thought they were good!! I opted to order the house margarita on happy hour ($6.50). I asked the server if they could make it spicy and they said that wasn't part of the happy hour?? That's about my only complaint. I just needed a few jalopenos thrown in there or a Tajin rim. Came here on my birthday with my kids..first off I noticed a ton of dust in the ceiling.. also the chandeliers are covered in dust...the ceiling fans had about two inches of dust on the blades..decoration on the shelves were dusty and spider webs going across..the little windows had smear marks from what I guess is from the last time they were cleaned looks like air born grease and dust..just not clean looking...if where the customers are sitting is dirty what does the kitchen look like? Not to mention the booths seats feels like you sink to the floor..I switched sides and the other side was the same..Food wasn't good at all...Just the smell of the prime rib stank ..that was served cold and taken back and microwaved that now tasted like tough meat with no seasoning...I spit it out..I gave 3 stars because the staff was amazing and helped with the food issues and were very kind about it...left a solid tip because it's not the servers fault that the kitchen was incompetent...probably won't be back ...the restaurant needs a total kitchen overhaul and restaurant needs a deep cleaning at the least and they'd probably do great with the management they've got read more

The customer service was great also. I got a 12 oz NY strip with red mashers. My wife got a 12 oz Prime rib with a loaded baked potato, we got bacon wrapped shrimp as appetizers and of course the signature camp fore beans and warm rolls (amazingly tasty!) the steaks melt in your mouth and were cooked the way we asked them too. Cockroaches! Overall, noticeably unclean. The food was mediocre, and definitely overpriced for the quality. Baked potato was undercooked. Server Wade was nice enough, in general. But, when we brought the cockroach to his attention that had just ran across our TABLE right after we finished eating, and was now on the floor, he merely apologized, "so sorry about that" and proceeded to try to stomp on it as if it was an everyday occurrence, and not at all a big deal. Came in for a dinner, we were seated quickly and received excellent overall service from our server. I was so disappointed with the chicken nachos, I figured they would be using maybe a little bit of actual nacho cheese or some type of cheese that actually melts but they seem to use shredded cheese and it hardens up if you do not eat it right away. Over priced for the quality of the food. The bread they give you is pretty good, the side salad was very watery, I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. They over saturated my plate with gravy, it was disgusting taking a bite of what I thought was mashed potatoes but was a mouthful of gravy. Can't really give you an idea of how the mashed potatoes were all I can tell you is about the gray. The country fried steak was definitely not the best I've had. I took my husband out for his Birthday to have his favorite Cowboy Cut Prime Rib. I ordered the 10 ounce Prime Rib. He was a little disappointed that it came out warm but it was Medium Rare as ordered. Mine too was Medium Rare but only warm. I am really disappointed with the baked potato. Both apps were fresh and tasted amazing. The artichokes have almost a funnel cake type batter which I personally didn't like but that's not to say it not really good because it is! I would not recommend based on my experience. It was a Wednesday, and we arrived at 4PM, not too busy, maybe 10-15 cars in the parking lot. There were 3 of us, and we got seated right away. We placed our drink orders, along with an appetizer of wings, and I got a side salad, and that by itself took about 20-25 mins to arrive, so it's about 4:30PM at this point. We place our food orders (2 burgers and a country fried steak) and didn't receive our food until 50 mins later, so like 5:20PM. We noticed 2 women across from us that had gotten seated 20 mins after we arrived, had already gotten their drinks and food, and left by the time our food arrived. The bread rolls, butter, and baked beans were bland and had no taste. My friends said their burgers were good and the steak fries were okay. The service is consistently fantastic and the food is tasty. The portions are huge, so come hungry. Came at about 7:30 on a Monday at it was surprisingly busy! They listed about a 30 minute wait so we just went to the bar area which was relatively empty. They have happy hour all night which has some good drinks and appetizers. I got the tequila something which was STRONG but yummy. To start we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and some steak bites to start, both fantastic. For entrees it was the steak and bake which was only 14 dollars, so juicy. Chicken fried steak for him. So good too. Apparently this place and huckleberry's are owner together and have the same chicken fried steak? Everything came with bread and beans too so by the time we got to the entrees we were stuffed, but it'll make for good leftovers. We've been there about three times in the last few months and have always had good service. One time that stands out, is when Rick was our server. He was very attentive and usually had something funny to say. He always checked on us, offered refills and asked if everything was alright. We went back a few weeks later and also had good service from a different server (can't remember his name). We ran into Rick and he was his usual funny self and I appreciated that he enjoyed his job and wasn't just putting on an act to bump up his tip. Also, the steak special was awesome, and the restrooms were nice and clean. To conclude, Rick thanked me for my military service and I received a discount. I'm not too sure where to start with this one. Let's start from the beginning, the hostess's were very nice and friendly. We had about a 20 minute wait to be seated and they gave my daughter a menu and crayons to color on while we waited. Upon being seated our waitress walked by saying she would right with us. This happened several times before we finally placed drink orders. Then it got to the point I thought we were forgotten before drinks came. As soon as she came with drinks she was off to tend to a 9 person party she was also serving. I don't need to be tended too every 5 minutes but I hate feeling ignored or not a priority because we are a party of 3. I heard a table next to us that had something comped from a long wait but not sure one the whole story there just that they had the same server. We never were offered drink refills, it's a big drink but still. When I got the check I was ready with my card as I wasn't interested in waiting for our server to decide to come back to us after 10 minutes again. As she set it down and said to pay when ready I was in the middle of say "here you go I have my card ready" she was already turning around to walk away. I could go on but the point is that this server was interested in where she thought the big tip was coming from. The food was alright. The rolls and beans were fantastic and the soup and salad were good as well. I had the cool hand combo with steak and ribs with garlic red mashers. Not bad just ok, the steak was a little under the medium rare I ordered so it was chewy, ribs were tender but mushy and the potatoes were cool and crusty, obviously sitting on the hot plate a bit too long. My wife's tri-tip was very tender. Her shrimp was blah, that's hard to do with shrimp, just tiny and bland. I'm not one to take menu pics when they are already on Yelp but the prices on those pictures are not current prices. Prices are higher by $8-11 and their website conveniently doesn't have prices listed. That was a fun surprise seeing the menu! All in all I may return during some of their cheaper dinner promo times but that's about it. read more

I hate giving you guys a two star because the food is good, it's your service that deserves a one... but I didn't want to be horrible. Who ever is answering phones need to be trained on at least what's going on and what's on the menu. It started with being put on hold (5 min) and no one returning until I called back. I thought okay they're busy. Call back... It's Sunday... prime rib special... the girl answers sounds annoyed I'm putting in a pick up order. Put on hold for a sec and then returned. I order the special... put me on hold to ask if there was a special... came back... placed the order ready in 20 min. Okay. Cool I get there... 30 min later, food not ready. Not busy at all. You have 3 girl employee standing around complaining they wish they were home. Had to ask them to check on my order. When they came back they said they were waiting on the bread. So you guys bake it fresh? Waited an additional 10 min for my bread. Prime rib just sitting. No other orders coming out, so they weren't busy. A couple even came in and the girl was like...we close at nine but I guess you sit at the bar. Annoyed. Get my food... No napkins or No fork, spoon or knife. I ordered a prime rib... I kind of need those things to enjoy my food. What if I was on my work lunch? My food was good... I did however get a wrong item but it was still good. Anyways your service is lacking.
