My wife and I ate here on our trip to Pismo Beach. We saw this as we were in town shopping and decided to stop. We got seated very quickly and everybody was very nice and attentive. Love the decorations inside. They also have a little gift shop that is through a connecting hallway that also has an outside door. The menu has a lot on it, and there is bar seating and I love the fresh air feel.

Cool Cat Cafe is definitely 5 stars. The location is perfect, right in the mix, surrounded by cool shops and a short walk to the beach. The service is spectacular, the host took us right to our table and we were ordering drinks within a minute. The drinks and appetizers were quick to appear, and then boom, our food was on the table. Quick like that. Everything tasted so good. My California Dreamin' sandwich was killer. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Everyone loved their meals. It was the perfect spot to grab lunch.

Fun upbeat diner right on the Pismo Beach Pier and next to the Hotel we are staying at. We were seated immediately came around 3pm on a Friday afternoon. We ordered a couple drinks while waiting for our appetizers. Quick service and even better Michelada and Peach Keen. Both drinks were great tasting and hit the spot. They do not serve breakfast only lunch and dinner. If you're in the area and can find a parking spot this place is good vibes. All staff were friendly and joking around while eating. Loved this place. Definitely will return when I'm the area.

Great happy hour, the waiter had good recommendations and the tomato soup with grilled cheese special was really great. Drinks were strong and bites were fun, interior also has a nice ambience to it.

Amazing vegan option in Pismo! While visiting Pismo for a friend's wedding, it was a little challenging to find food I could have. However, Cool Cat Cafe had a small section of the menu featuring vegetarian selections, including the Elaine La Lanne which is a veggie burger (or beyond patty) on a ciabatta with mixed greens, tomatoes, avocado, and a tropical fruit salsa. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but the salsa was out of this world and pulled all the flavors together. Food came fast and was such a fun atmopshere. Great place for classic American diner food with a twist!

Cool cat was a very cool location with a huge menu of items to choose from. Got their Leader of the pack burger (no sauce) with added side of fries and the Marylin Burger with a side of sweet pineapple. burger and fries cravings satisfied. It's pretty lively and loud for dinner time, we got lucky and only had to wait about 15-20 minutes. This place seems good for large groups though with plenty of seating and TV monitors to enjoy games with good company.

Second time visiting Cool Cat, and we enjoyed it even more than our initial visit. This place just has a vibe that can't be explained. Also, credit for making such a mean steak when you clearly specialize in burgers. This is quickly becoming our go-to for Pismo trips!

Cool Cat Cafe says it all in the name. The atmosphere is laid back. Reminds me of an old school diner with a great vibe. They specialize in burgers, including the famous "808" for competition eaters. I had a Pismo summer day cocktail and my wife had the "Dulce De Jack" adult milkshake which she enjoyed a lot. For our meals we had the fresh fish tacos (hint: ask for the green salsa for a nice kick). The garlic aioli tasted great. We also tried the Jailhouse Rock burger with mushrooms. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We learned a bit about the 808 burger challenge and how they keep track of the winners. I had a good time while stuffing my face lol. Check it out !

Cool Cat Café -- Beachside Vibes with a Flavor Kick Stopped by Cool Cat Café in Pismo Beach with friends for a casual hangout near the beach. Originally came for drinks, but we ended up ordering some snacks and they didn't disappoint. Drinks: Cold beers, served fast. Great way to unwind after a long day. Food: We tried the chips and salsa along with ceviche. Both were surprisingly good fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. The ceviche had a nice citrusy punch, and the salsa had just enough kick. Service & Atmosphere: Staff were friendly and welcoming. The retro diner vibe mixed with the beachside location made for a chill, laid-back experience. Didn't dive into the full menu this time, but based on the snacks and service, I'd definitely come back to explore more.

We were second timers this past trip and oh em gee I see why we went back. The food was delicious! I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Pismo. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food took maybe 15 minutes to arrive to our table from ordering but the time went by fast. We ordered the frings (can never go wrong with the fries and onion ring combo), the chili burger (sorry can't remember the exact name but 10/10), tri tip sandwich (9/10 was just a bit on the smaller side than I'm used to), & a loaded baked potato which was the highlight of our lunch!

Food: 4. Drink: 2.5. Came by after a Pismo Preserve hike on Labor Day. Place was mostly busy and we were seated promptly. I had a discount card I obtained from Pancho's across the street. The card offered multiple discounts. I chose the half price hard root beer float. I ordered there ALI'I ( patty melt) for $13.50. Burger/sandwiches come a la carte. To add fries is another $3.50. Food and drink came out timely. Sandwich was very good but I felt it was kind of small. I never had a hard root beer float before so I didn't know what to expect I didn't care for it. The rootbeer was hard and not an alcohol add to the float. I was hoping the bottle of leftover rootbeer was plain rootbeer. Service was excellent, both friendly and efficient.

We went to the beach for the day. We arrived around lunchtime and hungry. We were seated right away, our waitress was friendly and helpful. 3 of us got the fish and chips, 2 of us a cup of clam chowder(I added bacon), 2 of the kids got chicken strips, and I got these Baja tacos. They were hot, fresh, and delicious! They come with a strip of cod, cabbage, cheese, and a garlic/chili aioli sauce. The amount of spice in the sauce is PERFECT. I would definitely order again, but to share, I could only eat one taco. Also, the amount of bacon they piled on my cup of clam chowder was great! It was busy, but not too loud. Would definitely go back.

Came here after walking around Pismo beach for a little bit. We were able to get sat right away! The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great, as most of the walls had big open windows. My boyfriend also has celiac disease and they were very accommodating. They made sure to take note of it and ensured the fries were in a separate fryer.

We originally made our reservation for 7:30 p.m.... we then decided we wanted to perhaps change it to 6:30. We called ahead and hopes that they could accommodate us. They said they couldn't promise anything but they would try. We showed up around 6:15. And they sat us down around 6:35. We had a beautiful window seat overlooking the ocean and had a perfect view of the sunset. I forgot our server's name but he was amazing. This place sounds fancy and bougie but it's really not. The food might be, but the vibe is not. There's no dress code. Everything we ordered was soooo tasty and delicious! We ordered fish and chips, baked clams, a wedge salad, and seafood pasta. For drinks we had two mocktails that were just okay. We also got a couple of flour tortillas with some cinnamon butter and a salsa trio. Our server suggested we spread butter inside the tortilla and drizzle our favorite salsa inside. So good. After dinner we decided to walk around the restaurant and appreciate the views. I'm so glad we came here. We will definitely come back next time we come to Pismo Beach

The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.

I don't know why I thought the sandwich same by itself. My mistake. The chicken sandwich was very good. A bit spicy but not to the point I couldn't finish it. It also had this nice sweet taste that contrasted well with the spice. I knew my wife would like it so I let her have a bite. I was also curious about my sons birria fries so I stole a bite of those. I recommend if you come in a group, be sure to share some. It would also be nice if you could upgrade the fries that come with your meal to birria fries, you know for an extra $2 or something. From what I can tell, everything is good here. If I could, next time I'm getting birria tacos with a side of birria fries! Probably the only gripe I could find was that service was on the slow side. 2 people were responsible for the whole restaurant, besides the cooking in the back. One mostly manned the bar and the other roamed the tables while helping behind the bar too. It wasn't that busy and the place isn't that big. My man wasn't lazy and was always doing something.
