Cooky's has been here for as long as I can remember. When I lived out here I actually worked in this industrial area and would get lunch here on the regular. That's why when my cousin's who stayed by the airport asked where they can pick up breakfast for the fam, I recommended this place. I helped them call in an order for the whole family that was to be picked up and brought to my parents. We threw a lot at them and the only mistake was my BEC had SPK and I told them I didn't want it. Did I eat it anyway? Of course I did! Today I thought I would treat my mom to a pastrami sandwich so my neighbor referred me to cookie so I figured I'd give it a try. I entered the establishment and was greeted by a Hispanic male who took my order. I proceeded to place my order for two pastrami sandwiches both with mustard on rye bread. I then watched the man place two plates in a microwave and magically my sandwiches where done I asked originally for extra pastrami not only did he put on the sticker as he put extra and didn't I then proceeded to pay. When I got to the register their was a tall caucasian male with a ponytail working I asked him is this a sandwich that has extra protein on it he lookin at me and said I don't know I didn't make it I paid the 45$ for two sandwiches and two fruit cups I then went to the truck to check the sandwiches and discovers their was no mustard I took the sandwiches back inside and spoke to the same Hispanic male who took my order he gave me an attitude because he fucked up my order first and last time I will step foot in the place read more

My BFF overhyped this place over the phone to me for a while, so I had to visit when I came to town. Long Islanders have their spots and this is one of them on this side of town. I'm a salad girl and although I liked my salad, it was nothing I couldn't make better at home. The dressings were just okay. I like the fact that you can choose what you want to add to your salad, however as a salad connoisseur, I expect the right balance between ingredients in a salad to make it scrumptious. These ingredients were just thrown in and mixed. My pastrami on rye wasn't as hot as I would've liked...I did get fresh lettuce and tomato on it (to their defense) but I always try to get fresh veggies on a sandwich and other NY (and FL delis for that matter) have been able to pull off my request with great success and deliciousness. Not the easiest place to give a simple thumbs up or thumbs down; Cookys makes a great egg sandwich which is apparently hard to do, but then charges at least a buck too much for it... this pricing continues exponentially into the rest of the day, and the rest of their menu. The food is not amazing by any means but still one of the better delis around this area, offering a wide variety at a slightly steep price tag. Chilli n Mac'n'cheese are decent... the daily specials are a bit cheaper but still leave something to be desired; Cashiers are mostly friendly with one exception, and I've had various feeling about encounters with the people actually taking the orders Big place, fine service, cute counter girl always helps with a smile, I don't know what else to say about the place, I'll post a picture or two and state that the place has a great location and is always busy, definitely better than some other delis in this area and other areas too. Quick service , friendly staff ,, 2 ppl working the register so everything runs quickly ,,I love there homemade potato chips ,, plenty of seating ,,they have dinner specials good prices ,,and decent portions . After trying everything from the cooked food to the sandwiches and wraps I thought this place was good for nothing, until I had their yogurt parfait. It was great until they started switching up the granola (sometimes it tastes like a cookie , sometimes with almonds and raisins, sometimes just oats rolled in granular sugar) and the yogurt (from a delightful texture to as thick as sunscreen lotion) to the point that it was nothing like what I first tasted. I ordered breakfast from there and when the delivery driver showed up, I saw him finishing off his cigarette. The food reeked of cigarettes, no way I was eating any of it. When I called to complain the woman on the phone seemed to straight up not believe me. It took about 10 minutes of holding for her to agree to refund me, but only after the driver picked up the food. Why? I'm assuming they're going to serve the unopened drinks to someone else. Yuck. I just got a message from whoever runs their facebook page and they're arguing that the drinks are"unopened cans and bottles, not a homemade iced tea or coffee"...I really think they're planning on re-serving the drinks. Cooky's is always a mob scene at or around lunch time and for that reason I tend to only order delivery from them... A huge selection of sandwiches and cooked dishes - there are standard items and daily specials, plus specials of the day - so plenty of variety to keep it from getting old. I like the fact that they deliver - and many people in my office order that way- plus their website is actually useful so ordering in is a snap. Unfortunately I will not bring my business here anymore. I've always been satisfied until I was charged almost $15.00 for 2 slices meatloaf, a spoonful of mash and some grilled vegetables. I thought I was having the days special for $9.99. It was busy so I just payed and will deal with it when I go back. Well the bald chunky man who claims he is the boss, explained to me it's on the sign when you walk in, it's after 4:00. This deli has an enormous selection for breakfast, lunch & dinner. First time here this morning and for a Saturday they seem really organized even though the line is really long. There is an ample amount of seating with huge Windows so it's a nice place to sit and relax for 5 minutes. We got a baconegg&cheese (in New York that's one word lol), a soup and a bagel. I asked for my bagel toasted and I sat down to the table and it was cold :(. The soup was burning hot though and that's a huge plus because I love my food super duper hot. My dad sometimes brings food home from here for dinner and I've had the chicken Cesar wraps and the quality of the products they use seems sketchy. The chicken is good MOST of the times. They use neon orange bacon bits which grossed me out so I never ordered it again. So yesterday I wake up, and decide that it was a perfect day for a large bowl of delicious chicken soup. I live nearby to Cooky's, so figured I would go there. Wrong. The soup was watered down. Clearly it was not simmered in stock for hours. Chicken? A few tiny pieces of chicken (dark meat) in my large cup of soup. It was mainly carrots, celery, onions, and tiny pasta known as Mezze Meniche. If you know anything about chicken soup healing the body, it is actually the chicken that does the healing. The vegetables are just along for the ride. I had their clam chowder a couple of months back, and it was very good. So it sounds like Cooky's needs to teach their staff how to make homemade chicken soup. No seasonings like salt and pepper in it. Not thrilled with Cookys. I always get the captain Jack sandwich minus Turkey. It's often been pretty good. I am trying to eat better so decided to start getting the Panini combo. It's 1/2 a panini and a tossed salad. Someone tells me that I can't have the panini combo minus the Turkey. Why? Well because when we make the combos we only make them fresh if we don't have them already made from the morning. They make paninis in the morning, cut them In half and use them for the combos so that's why sometimes they are cold and stale. Sometimes they are the way they SHOULD be because they have none left and are made fresh. Today I spoke to someone else who took my order the way I wanted but when it was delivered it was cold, stale, had a piece of Turkey left on it... And MAYBE some remnants of cheese, 1 piece of lettuce and 1 thin slice of tomato. Pathetic. It was SO LIGHT, That I though the folded triangle of paper was garbage and not my sandwich. My coworkers and I couldn't believe it. No excuse. They have officially lost my business. You don't take an ingredient off a sandwich and serve it. That's just poor business. I'm paying a decent amount of money I should be getting fresh food the way I ask for it. As a matter of fact I am paying the same for less... Keep the turkey! This deli is close to my job so I decided to try it. The line was long but they move very fast. I got a BEC with SPK on a roll and there was the perfect amount of ketchup so it wasn't dripping out the sides. The employees were so nice, which is especially great because usually in fast paced environments employees don't always take the extra time to be friendly. My only complaints are that there is a slight fee (I think it's 3.5%) for paying with a card and that they don't have an espresso machine or any syrup flavors. I got an iced coffee with pumpkin creamer but I usually prefer an iced latte with a flavored syrup. However, they do all of the coffee stuff behind the counter which is probably good during the pandemic so not everyone is touching everything. Also the iced coffees come in styrofoam cups which is common for delis but terrible for the environment. In conclusion, I will 100% be returning because they move fast and the employees are extremely nice which makes me care a lot less about my dumb coffee opinions and a small charge for using a card. read more

My husband and I have been going to Cooky's for years. We loved their food! However, today we ordered an 8 egg omelet ( we have ordered this for years) and received an order of what looked like 4 eggs in our poor looking omelet. We know what an 8 egg omelet looks like and how heavy if should be. What we received was not. My husband told the cashier and even the manager. They did nothing about it at! I called the manager, the manager explained that they are now using eggs from containers... I guess this is their answer to why the omelet didn't look consistent with their usual product that they make and did not feel the right weight. Unfortunately, my husband was so displeased with his experience that we have decided that we will no longer do any business with Cooky's.
