So I heard about this place through social media and decided to go. Y'all when I walked in the smell of those freshly baked cookies was nostalgic. The decor is amazing. The service was great . They explained their menu items. Cookies come in different sizes, ...good selection.. got a cookie mix . There is not a seating area inside or out so it's order and go. But the baked goods smell alone will want you staying. They ask if I wanted them warmed I was like of course I do..yAll them warm cookies on a cool day was my everything. The location is nestled in the shopping on Elsie Rd in Hoover. Dropping some pics . Come check them out.

They deliver!

The Cookie Plug is the place to go if you want some yummy cookies! This was my first visit and it was a great experience. The location is perfect and service was quick. I ordered the 6 cookie sample and it was priced perfectly! The manager is sweet and made sure the cookies were warm before they left the store! I love the wall art and the shopping center/residential neighborhood it is located in.

Speaking of "plugs".... Hi. My name is Renée and I am addicted to sugar. This is what had me seeking out a cookie place online. This location is not far from my place of employment, this was the winner winner cookie dinner! I ordered on line and set the time for pick up after work. It's located in the Edge establishment. Neat place! There is just a window to the walk up to. The staff that helped me was really kind. She had my cookies ready! If you will be placing an order for cookies, just know they they already build ten minutes into it, so you won't have to. I put four o'clock because I knew it'd be about 4:10 before I arrived: However, they had the time as 3:50. Either way, they were still warm! I tried the purple haze one first. Nice, thin, crunchy outer layer and soft and warm on the inside. Delightful! I will say, these cookies are VERY greasy. (See the inside of the box and greasy smoothie king napkins... see... I DO eat healthy sometimes too. ) I am not complaining because I love all the butter, grease, lard... okay; you get the picture. BUT... for someone who may not want something like so greasy, these may not be for you. The cookie I ate on my drive home had grease that soaked through THREE folded napkins! The flavor is amazing, however! Sugar fast coming up, fo sho!

The Cookie Plug is a little hard to find. I passed it twice before I found it. It is located between Body Bar Pilates and Brick's Gap Pharmacy. It is a small store with no seating but it makes up for that in pure coolness factor. There's a pretty awesome mural on one wall and merchandise for sale. All the cookies are on display for you to choose from and they all are thick and tempting. I came in for the first time to cash in a birthday reward from their rewards club. It was supposed to be an iced phatty, which was any two cookies with ice cream between them but they did not have ice cream but I still got two cookies. I tried their red velvet and turtle cookies and tried their signature drink the Purple Drank, which is a lemonade refresher. Everything was SO good. When I say these cookies are thick I mean they are at least an inch thick and served warm. The red velvet was so soft and velvety. It melted in my mouth and tasted terrific. My favorite was the Turtle. It was too soft to pick up in one piece but the chocolate, caramel, and walnuts were in perfect ratio. I will definitely be back for more. The service here was stellar. The young woman who took care of me, Toni, was so friendly and sweet. Cookie Plug, you need more like her!

I tried this business at the Ross Bridge Farmers Market, and it was really good. I had the strawberry cheesecake cookie, which was delicious. The owner was very friendly and took the time to explain all the different types of cookies she makes. I'm looking forward to their new location opening in Hoover.

We excited to try their cookies. Now, our experience may be an outlier based on these reviews, but important to document nonetheless. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations. We ordered a 12-pack of cookies, only to learn that the 12-packs are pre-packaged at the beginning of the week?!?!? That means the cookies we received were nearly SEVEN DAYS OLD!! Not surprisingly, the cookies were stale, dry, and far from fresh. They were like pucks.... When you tapped them on the table, it was like knocking (see video). Insane. To make matters worse, they said they were warming the cookies (cut to 10 mins later), when they handed them over, they were still fairly cold. The entire experience felt disappointing, and the quality did not justify the price. If you're looking for fresh, delicious cookies, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This place, sadly, does not seem to prioritize quality or freshness.

I was super excited to try this place ever since I first heard they were opening up. Well the first time I went I didn't get served. It was right at the opening for the day and the workers all seemed busy so I didn't really bother either. I figured I would come back since I'm at The Edge pretty often nowadays. Well last week I attempted again and ordered the Purple Haze cookie on my app. I waited quite a bit on my order and was tracking my order progress on the app. It kept not updating to a ready status so I just decided to go to the counter and ask. My order was ready yay! I ordered the Purple Haze cookie cause it's just so pretty. It was delicious! It was huge, soft, gooey, and not overly sweet! I was having multiple app/rewards issues besides this so I contacted their customer support team but it's been a few months and I still have not heard back. So they have great cookies, but their app and customer support could be improved.

What a charming bakery/coffee shop in a super cute almost European nook in town. If you're…read morevisiting, I definitely recommend taking a drive to this area. Progressive area - Seems to be... There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

The young girl making the coffee was loudly talking about someone who messed up their coffee order this morning and how frustrated she was. The only other employee was occupied with what seemed a large order of bread etc. When she finished what she was doing she looked at the now five customers, claustrophobically waiting, and said I'll be right back and disappeared. Leaving the one guy serving the one customer. It was 11:30 am on a rainy day. Figured I could do without a cream cheese croissant and coffee and left. Had already waited 5 as the only other person in there and did not want to wait another undetermined amount of time. I know one of the bakers. It's a shame the front has been so bad these last two times.

With this hope in mind I took my first bite. I then Took my second and my third and my hopes were truly realized. The Key Lime Cake was superb. I, we provided ALL decor visible on this cake sans the "crafted" bottle out of icing they charged me $55 for on a 2-tier 8"/6" top only to be told they couldn't craft it for this 2 tiered cake. So, we scraped last minute the top tier. Does it look as if it couldn't have been on a 2-tier considering the bottle is NOT over 21/2" tall?!?! And, where is the rice krispy?!?! I bit into it to find ICING!!!! (AGAIN - see pictures.) I was told to have the 2 tiered quote for $185 with bottle (sans tax), the bottle wouldn't work. I would have to have some custom bottle cookie on top. God forbid considering what you visually see I ended up receiving. So, to have my custom bottle like pictures I provided, I'd have to have the 8" solo. Okay...fine. Yet, to write my daughter's name on this pathetic icing fondant covered bottle, I was to pay just shy of original quote. And, TO ADD insult to injury, I WAS blamed for such. Like, REALLY?!?! Well, if they'd delivered upon what I had to RE-discuss/address because of their ineptness on innumerable conversations, this may have been fine. But, AGAIN, this IS NOT! So, I scraped the top tier. Question, consumer- do you think an 8" cake, with EXTRA layer, is worth $165 ($180 w/ tip?!?!?!)? How STUPID and regretful I am I tipped, prior to cake receipt. (On a sidebar, the red velvet, our daughter's favorite, was decent. But, not worth the $300 my decorations and this cake cost.) ! "Caveat Emptor!", friends. And, unless you desire hassle upon hassle and to be COMPLETELY stressed out and disappointed beginning 10 days out from whatever reason you're purchasing a custom cake, GO ANYWHERE but here!!! As, fortunately, there are INNUMERABLE bakeries (like White Oaks Cookie Co I found to custom make (18) specialty cookies for our daughters surprise party her friends are putting on for her that are EXCELLENT and 1/2 of the $150 plus tax these bozos we're going to charge me.) My, how I CONTINUE to miss my beloved Dreamcakes! Lesson learned. PRAY I save you from such lesson!!! You've been warned...
