And being a senior, and rather intimidated by so many online businesses, I was fretful as to whether I could do this without the hassles of falling down the rabbit hole of another new website. I was answered instantly by bot, and make note; it said that there had been higher than usual email volume and it could be 24-48 hours before I got a response. I was fortunate and got one in about 20 minutes, and then, because I had quite a few questions that weren't included on the FAQs of the website, I was answered SO promptly and SO clearly and SO politely, that I'm looking forward to this change in lifestyle instead of being nervous about it. read more

Cook Unity does not. The phone number given is NOT Cook Unity. The email sends back a generic bot message. They are impossible to reach or to get any information. Poor customer service! Some entrees were great! I had 2-3 entrees that's not up to standard, notifying them is useless. They wanted pictures and "proof" that it was not good to eat?! They do not have a customer service line and when I tried to contact them about my order, I received a reply that said they would contact me by email in 8 hours (2:00 am). The food was fine, and I would have continued using the subscription. I was away for holiday and they pushed an order through. We have bad allergies and so many of the meals would have been terrible for us. So I asked for a refund the same day it was charged.. They refused gave me a credit at that point I was done. The first time I signed up for this service. I sent an email saying I did not want a food delivery until X week. X week rolls around and no food shows up. I found out their employee who read my email thought I wanted to cancel X wk. I quit the service. A few months later I decided to give the service a second try. First 2 weeks were good. 3rd week they sent an email saying they had to make a substitution but not to worry they had selected a protein based off my previous orders. Wasn't worried, should have been. They sent me a chicken meal. I'm vegan and have never ordered chicken from them.​ 4th week I received an email asking if I wanted to cancel. Apparently after a month my choosen user name alarmed them. I responded that I did not want to cancel. They responded that my next scheduled order would be delivered. One guess what did not how up? After 1.5 days of trying to get them to respond they send me an email saying their delivery person had not been notified that I was not canceling. Not sure why they ever told delivery person I wanted to cancel. A food delivery company is no good if they don't deliver. BEWARE! THEY WONT GIVE YOU ANY HEADS UP THAT THEY'VE DECIDED NOT TO DELIVER, YOUR FOOD JUST WON'T SHOW UP. You will get very hungry that week. Personally, I liked their food. I have been ordering from Cook Unity almost every week for the last nine months. There is a huge variety of meals and snacks. The website is so easy to use and there are multiple ways to sort the meals, by dietary preferences, proteins, chefs, etc... I have tried many meal services, but only order from Cook Unity now. It has saved me so much time and money because I am not trying to figure out what to cook and I am no longer throwing out or wasting any food. My wife and I have been customers for about six months. We will continue to be customers. Each package is one meal. Each person can order what the want. My wife is a vegeterian and me, not so much. There is plenty of food in each package and it is really good. There are lots of choices and I have chosen 20-25 different meals. I find that communication with the company to be very easy and productive. It is easy to skip a week or so if you choose. I highly recommend the company. read more

Absolutely the best customer service but the food was sorely lacking. And the food was the reason I was buying this service. I purchased two weeks' of meals (12 total) and there were none that I would say I was eager to order again. Portions were quite small which meant I had to supplement them with soup, salad, or something else. The quality of the preparations were not good. About the only thing I can say they did well was shrimp. The salmon was tough, the beef (short ribs) was very fatty, and the chicken flavorless. "Roast vegetables" turned out to be potato wedges - not too bad but just potatoes. The biggest disappointment was crab cakes. There must have been crab in them because the ingredient list said there was. But I could not taste it. All I could taste was filler. I was very excited when I saw some of the chef names associated with the menus. If I were one of them, I would be concerned for my reputation. Cannot recommend. read more

We've been using this service for quite a while now. We have previously used several other services. We are elderly, retired folks. As the main cook in the home, I unfortunately don't have the stamina I used to, so cooking has become difficult. Cook Unity provides completely prepared meals, so that simplifies things. The menu is huge, but they have easy to manage filters, so for instance, you can filter for a protein, (say, fish) select that meal, clean the filter and choose another, etc. After you've used the service you have the opportunity to "favorite" the meals you really like, and then on the menu, there's a tab for those. The variety is fantastic and delicious. There are hot meals, cold meals, salads. soups, breakfasts, desserts. So much variety. The soups are out of this world. We order the gazpacho every time it is available. The chilled salmon and potato salad with a side of a greens salad is always a top choice. For hot meals, you can microwave or use the oven. Usually the oven has a better result - Pro tip - cover it with foil. (Unless it's a crispy dish). It's not cheap, but is well worth the cost and is cheaper than takeout. Oh, and we love that the meals are delivered in an insulated bag that you return each week, thus cutting down on landfill. Customer service is fantastic. We only needed that once (there was a spill of a soup). They responded immediately and ended up giving us a very generous discount on two shipments instead of just crediting us for the soup that spilled. Give it a try - there's always a discount on your first delivery, sometimes more. read more

They missed my delivery. Showed up at a property I sold three years prior. Explained to the drive who did not speak english and hung up on me. I never recieved the food which was ordered for my daughter who was niot well at the time. The company said they would discount my next two deliveies but instead they just discounted the first, which was already discounted as a new subscriber. The AI that reponed to my concernes told me I miss understood the adjustments. Everything is AI generated. It is utter confusion and they use a "delievery company" that personally I''m concerned with the integrity of the driver. At least the one that I interacted with. Don't waste your money. My family gave me a gift card for Christmas and I had enough on the card to pay for one week of food. They would not ship unless I gave them a credit card for the file. I see why now. After I had just received the order, they reordered another 6 day order at a considerably higher price, without my permission. I cancelled the credit card and told them to cancel the service. They told me I couldn't do that as I didn't notify them. I told them they could not expect me to pay for food I did not order. There is no telephone number to call them. Now they claim that I gave them a bad email address which is not correct as how would they have been contacting me. Do not trust these people. read more
