I have tried different meal prep services in the past and although those have provided "good enough" food, Macrofit puts those flavors to shame. I ordered meat by the pound and am blown away by the flavor of the meat. It heats up so well and stays tender. I also love that they have steak, chicken, and fish options. It has come to this unfortunately. My gf and I would be very excited to pickup our meals from here because they were tasty and convenient. Sadly after picking up our food last week on July 26th 2021, I was met with the first picture. Which shows chicken in with the shrimp order. This wouldn't normally bother me, but it wasn't until the next two pictures that it would begin to upset me. Not only did I ingest mold, (enough to call out from work because of nausea and near vomiting) but my daughter 1yr 1/2, frequently shares the meals with us. Which means she could have potentially been exposed to the mold as well. This made me question quality control. I reached out to them through their email service and respectfully requested a refund (7-29). Unfortunately, I received and automated message that stated someone would reach out within 48 hrs.Clearly that never happened, which is the reason I resorted to Yelp to get a more immediate reply. Yes I did try calling them various times and I gave them plenty of time for a reply. I hope for their sake they reach out. I am beyond disappointed. read more

Pros: great food quality on their 10 meal sales, pricing is competitive Cons: their 1lbs items have been short in weight. I ordered mashed yams and vegetables which should have been enough for multiple servings. They ended up smashing everything into one container, which made it super messy to separate when reheating. Also, I had to go back because I was missing a a whole 1lb of meat, after waiting in line for 30 minutes. They ended up putting the meat in the same container with the vegetables and the yams. Lastly, their macros are not easy accessible unless you download an app. Moral of the story, stick to their 10 meals and you will probably be fine. However, I've never taken the time to weigh every single item in one meal, so I'm not sure how accurate their macros are. read more

This review is not about the food. The food is delicious and they give you plenty. This review is about the delivery service which I used for the first time this week. I knew I would be out of town and unable to pick up the food. I asked for a 3 pm delivery because I knew my husband would be home from work at that time. I received a text that my food was on the way at 9:00 so I tried to call but could only leave a message. My food was delivered at 9:45 am so I texted and was told according to their website that the time varies. Ok varies but 6 hours?! Even the cable company gives you a smaller window than that. I also asked that my food be handed to someone to ensure it wasn't left on the porch. No luck. Now I'm stuck with a weeks worth of spoiled lunches. To be transparent, they texted me back and offered me a thirty percent off refund. I just want lunch for the rest of the week so I can stay on track with my health and fitness journey. read more

For the past several months, I really tried to support this small latino company. However, with every other order, there has been an issue like dry chicken, getting only 1oz!!! of protein in my meal instead of 4oz . This is really frustrating, especially after waiting 30 minutes to pick up my order. Another time, I got fish instead of chicken. When I called to get it corrected, I was told to text pictures , which I did. No one ever called me back or even attempted to rectify the situation. I tried calling a few more times but not even the girl that answered the phone was apologetic. I drive all the way to South Gate to pick up my meals and I have a little bit of a drive. Therefore, driving back just to speak to someone in person was not really an option for me. Additionally, they also charge you an extra fee to use your debit card. Really? I just hope they get their act together and really focus on customer experience over all. read more

I've been ordering my meal preps from LA Macrofit for over a year (thru my former gym ScultpFitness) and they are my meal LIFE SAVER, they keep me from spending time in the kitchen cooking, gathering ideas to cook and just overall having a variety of foods to enjoy... their meals are very well balanced, fun to eat and I look forward to enjoying each one everyday ... although I'm on a Keto diet and IF I manage to get exactly what I need and works with my nutritional needs. Granted I still make a few meals for back up. Their staff is very friendly and I like how they are responsive to messages and ideas you send them thru IG. Overall their menu is well thought out and I've never been disappointed. I've had a taste of ALL their muscle muffins (had to cut the muffin into four servings to stay low carb), pressed juices and PROATS (which are sooooo uh-may-zing!!) So, I'm on vacay on went with my SIL to pick up some meals for my brother. I try to stay somewhat on track with my eating habits while on vacay. I picked up some cold pressed juices that were on sale for for 6 for $20. I'm pretty sure the veggies and fruits they use aren't organic and/or it isn't labeled as such on the bottles. But for the price, I'm not complaining. Only issue is which I find with alot of places that sell cold pressed juices....most of them don't offer a veggie juice only (no fruit). The juices were fine. I did purchase the strawberry shortcake dessert and the chocolate cake dessert. Both of those were yummeeee! My favorite was the strawberry shortcake. Prices are inline with other meal prep places I have tried. So they don't sell any meals if you're just walking in... Didn't try any of my brothers meals as a I don't eat much meat, but they did look yummy. read more

I got my meals all veggies, but all the veggies were exactly the same no matter the protein. No variation. The meals so far have been good. I had the talapia with an amazing spicey dip. YUMMY. I'm giving this a three star due to the fact that no meal prep places like this are catering to vegans right now. So I really do appreciate the efforts, however this review is strictly constructive criticism that I hope they take into consideration for future vegan preps. First it's important to note that almost every vegan is really health aware, we can taste when things are overly compensated with sodium. The impossible burger is not as healthy as the beyond burger,, so I highly recommend making a switch that will attract more business. I don't know a single vegan who actually enjoys the impossible because of its sodium content.. it also has 10grams saturated fat compared to the beyond that only has 5g. The sodium content is also 100gram more than the beyond-- even though impossible has more protein that shitty feeling after eating it is worth a little less protein in my opinion. I felt really sluggish and fatty after having the impossible meat which is my fault for ordering because I already knew that prior to buying. Also, in the impossible dishes I found oil gathered up at the bottom of my meal prep containers.. A LOT OF IT. Possibly another reason they made me feel sluggish and sick. Another recommendation would be to list every single ingredient topping as I'm allergic to cilantro and wouldn't have ordered the pad Thai had it said it had any, I still ate the tofu which was really blan. The dishes I really did enjoy was the pizza.. I hope this review isn't taken as negative I just want to give some constructive feedback so that you guys can keep it in mind for future vegan dishes you make. I'd love to come back and try the menu when it's switched up next month. I see a lot of people complaining about them being rude, too busy, long wait, etc. I didn't experience that at all... my pick up time was 11:45 and got my food within 5 minutes.. the staff was really nice. I noticed they accidentally gave me a vegetarian meal for one of them so went back in and the marketing manager (a woman) was nice and replaced it for me. Yeah I agree their meals are good. BUT, they have HORRIBLE customer service when you go to pick up your meals. They almost never have the meals ready on time. They need to either work on expanding their staff, or just don't take more orders than they can handle. I feel that they always take on way too many orders to squeeze them into get picked up on ONE day, which are Sundays. The waiting area to pick up the food is literally the size of my bathroom. Everyone gets cramped up there waiting around for their food. My husband and I waited with our kids for THIRTY minutes last night waiting for our meals to come out just to be told by the girl at the front "someone will come talk to you" wtf is that? Someone will come out and talk to us why our food wasn't ready? We walked out with NO meals. Good thing we didn't pay beforehand when we ordered. Everyone at the store was pissed waiting for their food last night. I feel bad for the people who paid already so they had no choice but to wait around. No one got their meals on time. They only prioritize for the "Instagram influencers" and whoever will get them the most visibility on social media. Sorry to say we will no longer order any meals from them. Maybe if they start delivering, but who knows those will probably never get delivered on time either. read more
