Chicken and Shrimp Enchilada Fries - BOMB
    Madeline S.

Holy smokes. D Lo knows what he's doing! Friendly staff, DIVINE FOOD, fast service. My boss and I had the pleasure of trying D Lo's Kitchen today. My boss got the Shrimp and Veggie Enchiladas and I got the chicken and shrimp fries. Huge portions. Nice spice level. The sauce is soooo good. Do not sleep on this truck.

Was able to try this food at an event. The food itself was good. My only feedback was around wait, and food supply. I waited in line with a friend for about 30-40 mins before ordering, and what my friend wanted ran out. She doesn't eat meat and there was only 2 veggie options, and unfortunately the owner ran out of veggies. It would've been great to know that before hand.I ordered the chicken and shrimp fries. A unique dish. I think it would've just been fine with the chicken.

When food truck meets soup Nazi, this is what you get.. The enchiladas are served with pride and expertise, but it always comes with a side of attitude.

Hot damn this food was good! I was lucky enough to have this truck make a stop at my complex in downtown, so glad they did. Ordered the Shrimp Enchilada Fries and wow wow wow, so good! Owner was a super cool guy as well. If you see this truck around, make sure you check it out. You won't be disappointed!

extremely kind owner, so welcoming and informative on all the food and what he had to offer. the fries were seasoned very well and whatever red sauce they drizzled over everything is BOMB

Food trucks have been a thing here in LA. And now there's another great addition. D Lo's. Kitchen is on it's own lane. D Lo is very down to earth and his customer service is impeccable. His food speaks for itself. He has some of the best shrimp enchiladas and shrimp fries. His sauce is what gives it his signature touch. The black beans have a really good acquired flavor that I enjoyed. Look out for his truck and make sure to give him a try. I could chat with D Lo all day.

I tried D Lo's Kitchen on my lunch break and was immediately obsessed. I got the Shrimp and Vegetable Enchilada Fries and they were so good. Unlike anything I've had before, the flavor was amazing and not too heavy. Everyone was so nice and I can tell that everything is made with a lot of care! Incredible food, amazing service, and a super unique menu. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered the veggie enchilada, comes with rice and beans. Omg delicious seasonal veggies with whatever his magic sauce is and cheese. So so good! The rice is interesting not sure what is in it but it's yummy.

It's one of those "low-key hidden but worth finding" spots. Don't let the location fool you! I went on a Tuesday during the week when it wasn't busy at all -- nice and chill vibes. But babyyy once 6 PM hit? Dinner time activated. The crowd definitely started rolling in and you could feel the energy shift. So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. Thank you for hosting me and my guest -- we had such a good experience. I'll definitely be back for my next crab boil fix lol

The ambiance is elegant--definitely sets the tone when you walk in--but the happy hour menu is a bit limited and on the pricey side. Now let's talk about the highlights. Our waiter, Sean, was amazing--attentive, personable, and truly made the experience better. We ordered a few items, and the flavors did not disappoint. The lump crab cake was delicious, the lollipop lamb chops were cooked just right, and the African lobster sticks were my favorite. The sliders, though, were my least favorite of the bunch. As for drinks, I had the Narrative Chardonnay--smooth, dry, and just right. Yolanda enjoyed the spicy margarita, which she said hit the spot. Eddie V's definitely feels like a hot spot--one of those places people come to see and be seen. It gave me a little bit of that Friday's-in-the-80s energy, just elevated with a touch more class, because of the folks who were there. I have to admit, it was a little amusing watching the reactions at the front--those quiet "what in the world..." looks from the hostesses and waitstaff when certain people walked in. I even caught a little whispering and nodding in certain directions... like, "Oh, we see what kind of night this is about to be." And if you read between the lines, you could almost hear it--"Yeah... we probably ain't getting no great tips tonight." There's plenty on parking and the door was already open ( I hate touching surfaces unnecessarily). The inside is clean and I implore you to check out the dessert counter first. The cashier was helpful and let me pick out my dessert :). I ordered a pound of catfish and a piece of sweet potato butter cake. The fish was cooked perfectly and did not have that dirty fish taste that you get with some places. Who ever is picking the fish needs to keep doing it! It was also perfectly seasoned. That sweet potato butter cake was the perfect addition. It was an impulse buy I do not regret and thank you to the couple that was ahead of me and drew it to my attention. I will say that if you order your fish by the pound, just go ahead and buy a dinner. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well.
