Some of the other stalls were appealing, but we were there for hot dogs. My buddy and I each ordered a Carolina Dog (mine with no onions). He got their Damn Good Fries and I got regular fries and we each got canned sodas. Our total was $27.24 with tip. It was late afternoon so I could tell our food was being made fresh which is always a plus. Everything came out hot (though I did have to remind them about the regular fry which was delivered promptly). The hot dogs had a great toasted bun and the chili or the slaw (or both) had a subtle sweetness to it. With that sweetness, I could have used a little more mustard, but that's a little critique. The regular fries were good: crispy and well-seasoned with salt and pepper. The Damn Good Fries were loaded and, as my friend said, "had a lot going on." They are loaded with warm cheese sauce, sweet onion sauce, ketchup, and their damn good sauce. When I tasted them it was hard to tell everything apart but it was still a tasty bite. Service was ok. I wouldn't wave about it but they got the job done. I'd definitely return to Damn Good Burgers and Dogs to try more of their food, especially those burgers.

They had a good flavor, but I think with a little tweaking they could be excellent. Maybe I got a bad batch? Not sure, but it won't deter me from trying them again. I snuck a taste of their special sauce from my friend's meal. It was good! I would like to try it on one of their vegan burgers. The buns are soft, but the hot dogs, while certainly not bad, are nothing special. They are also not as cheap as you might think: $3 base price and then $1.75 each for kraut and relish. One can understand that much of an upcharge for bacon, but a nearly $5 hot dog here felt like a reach. On this visit, I chose to go with just a single hot dog with mustard, chili, and onions. This is truly an authentic Southern style dog, with very flavorful chili, a soft bun, and a neon red wiener. At first, when I saw it on the menu, my thought was, "what does a burger joint really know about tzatziki sauce?" Turns out, a lot.
