This was my first time ever trying a truck like this, and it was great! I will say, I went the boring route but man it was tasty. I had a plain mozzarella stick with nacho cheese. I wasn't impressed with the gal taking orders (I was definitely inconveniencing her), but besides that I would eat here again!
I visited this food truck at the Korean Festival downtown. The line was wrapped around the city. They had amazing service. They were so patient with each customer. I loved their menu wasn't overwhelming to make sure you can order quickly. I received my order very timely. They were extremely busy today and I probably would have gone back for seconds if there wasn't literally 100 people in line. I can't wait to try them again. The asteroid dog with ketchup was so good. My daughter loved her sun dog with cheese. Awesome food truck. Definitely try them out.
First off, I'll start by saying that I don't like corn dogs (pls don't come for me lol), BUUUT Astro Dogs has literally changed my mind! Over the years, Korean corn dogs are becoming such a huge hit. This is my first time trying a K-dog AND my first time trying Astro Dogs, and I was just surprised how good it is! Besides from a regular corn dog, Korean corn dogs are crispier and your first bite gives you a magical mozzarella cheese pull. So satisfying and picture worthy! Their menu is so creative and I love the space-themed concept. The Asteroid Belt is my fav because the exterior of the crispy fries. Their Saturn k-dog is also delicious and they use rice crispies around the exterior! There's multiple sauces that you can choose from, like their signature Astro sauce, ketchup, mustard, etc. For drinks, you can either grab Jarritos, soda, or bottled water in the cooler. As for the service, it is amazing. They're always attentive and helpful whenever I come visit. Their main food trucklocation is close to UNCG and they have their second food truck somewhere around The Triad area on some days.

For Hispanic Heritage Month I decided to try out a Latinx- owned business. Astro Dogs was on my list to try. This place doesn't serve anything that taste lie those corn dogs you may think you're ordering. The dogs there are k-dogs. What are those you may ask? They were amazing. Next time I'll try half cheese and half meat, but for the first time I ordered the full beef sausage dog. I had 2 Pluto's but with different toppings. For the 1st I had Astro Sauce as the topping and the other I put Ketchup and Honey Mustard. They were both delicious as I was craving meat. If I liked Doritos and takis I'd probably try the other dogs but I'm somewhat basic when it comes to these toppings.
Astro Dogs is amazing! A total hidden gem in Greensboro. I recommend getting just about anything on the menu as everything is amazing. I ordered the mercury dog today. It was so good! If you have never been to Astro Dogs you must try it! 100 percent recommended!

Little did I know as a meat wrapped in hushpuppies on a stick fan in my youth, that the humble corn dog could evolve to this. Oh wait, yes I did! One of my first business ideas ever was to actually hand roll corn dogs with all the toppings INSIDE the batter. But, I didn't follow through with it. Who knew I would have been hitting this trend 20 years early? Guess I gave away my shot on that one. Still, I am glad that someone has picked up the banner and run with it. That entity is Astro Dogs, a UNCG phenom amongst students that is now creeping its way into city of Greensboro common knowledge. The truck is owned and run by current and former students, and you can find them parked typically in the parking lot of College Park Baptist Church on Josephine Boyd street. This is right across the street from the UNCG athletic fields, on the corner with Walker Avenue. I got the "Sun" with full sausage, which just means, instead of going half cheese half meat, I just went full meat. I'd normally rush for the halvsies, but have had a lot of cheese lately! The sun comes topped flamin hot cheetos crumbles, and I went with their spicy mayo and mustard swirled on top at the recommendation of the staff. This was a GREAT decision. I'd order this delicious crunchy masterpiece again... and you can bet I will, along with so many other things, because corn dogs are a perfect food. I'll hear no arguments to the contrary. You're gonna want to check out Astro Dogs!

But the customization doesn't stop there! You then get to choose from what sauces to put on top! You have the option of ketchup, mustard, spicy Mayo, Astro Sauce (kind of like a spicy Big Mac sauce is how they described it), Ranch, Nacho Cheese, and more! We opted for the Neptune, the Sun, and the Asteroid Belt. My personal favorite was the Neptune, a k-dog topped with Cool Ranch Doritos and then we got ranch and astro sauce on top, A super tasty combo! While this was my favorite, the others were tasty too! So tasty that we are already planning on our next visit to get more!!

My family and I tried this truck for the first time the other day and I must say it was a a delicious treat. There are several options and I imagine they are all equally tasty. They have several types of toppings and condiments both ranging in levels of spicy. You can get the center filled with all cheese, sausage, or you can get a 50/50 filling to get a taste of both. If you love mozzarella sticks and or corn dogs stop what you are doing and find this spot! Ordering was super easy and there is a QR that you can use to order directly from your phone to make it even easier. I can imagine this place can get pretty busy but they were pretty fast with their service. The staff was nice. The vibe in the area is pretty cool. The area is safe and there is plenty parking. Go get a K-dog. Tell them I sent you! They may not know me yet but they will because I'll be back soon.

Choosing half/half is seriously the best of both worlds! I love the slight sweetness of the breading, the crunch of familiar childhood memories and the delicacy that is hotdogs. it's such a guilty pleasure treat and so fun to choose different toppings to get a whole new experience. Oh and the drinks... you never know what surprise Jarritos flavors you'll find in the cooler, but you know there will be options! The service is great... place your order, give them your phone number, grab a drink and hangout in your car (or sit outside the truck in one of the chairs they provide) until they text you it's ready. If you're looking for a Korean corn dog experience that's truly out of this world, Astro Dogs is it. This wasn't our first Korean corn dog, but it was hands down our BEST one. From the moment we ordered to the last bite, everything was smooth, quick, and delicious. What we ordered: Neptune - Cool Ranch Doritos Korean corn dog with sriracha Asteroid Belt - Covered in crispy fries & potatoes with ketchup Plain Asteroid Belt - Because my husband keeps it simple Every single one was stellar. The flavors were on point, the batter was perfect, and the cheese pulls were absolutely epic -- all three times. Service was great, and the wait time was only about 10 minutes. You can take a stroll down Spring Garden or sit in your car -- your food will be hot and ready when you get back. Nothing disappointed. Nothing we'd complain about. Interesting Korean Corn Dog concept. Can order all beef hot dog, all mozzarella check, or 50-50 beef hot dog/mozzarella cheese. Rather than opting for a traditional corn dog, you can coat corn dog w/ chopped potatoes, Cheetos dust, crushed Takis, etc. One cooked, you can go traditional route (ketchup, mustard) or live on the edge (mildly spicy Astro sauce, nacho cheese, ranch, etc.). You can add a Jarrito or Gansito cake. I opted for the Asteroid, 50-50 rolled in potatoes, then topped rand on top half (mozzarella) and Astro sauce on bottom half (all beef hot dog). The mozzarella was gooey and hot dog was tasty. I opted to eat w/a knife & fork. The Astro sauce had a bit of kick to it, with a residual slow burn. I do not like super spicy, but this was manageable. For me, the corn cheese-dog was a meal by itself! Beware--if you're pressed for time--it may take some time to get your food, especially if they're busy. But, definitely well worth the wait for the corn dog fanatics. I cannot claim this as vegetarian, but may be worth inquiring about preparation & cooking, as I imagine the mozzarella on a stick would be amazing! read more

Astro Dogs is definitely a must visit location if you're in Greensboro. Their corn dogs are phenomenal, the cheese stretches endlessly and the toppings/sauces are unmatched. Ten out of ten. If you're a lover of hot cheetos, the sun dog is the way to go! The service is quite quick, however you will typically have to sit and eat in your car. So however nice your car interior is how nice your drive in experience will be. read more

Take out | Dinner | $10-20 Quite expensive for corn dogs, two for roughly $14.1 did enjoy them as a snack and hope to try more soon. The Pluto was my favorite so far. I ordered it with complete mozzarella and was surprised the sugar taste combined well with the flavors. It was good! For the asteroid belt, I ordered half dog half cheese. The hotdog was of low quality sausage, I expected different due to the pricing. Sam's/Costco has great cheap hotdogs that could be invested into. I have had the pleasure of having Astro Dogs twice now - once in Bailey Park (Winston-Salem) and once in their usual spot by UNCG for a Yelp event. I am here to tell you - I am a fan! Wow. So what's the scoop? First and foremost, Astro Dogs is FUN! They have a creative and highly-customizable menu! Options like blue Takis, cool ranch Doritos and hot Cheetos add to the presentation and appeal. The menu and the truck are funky and colorful, they even draw little designs with your name on the container. Korean corn dogs have taken the internet by storm recently, and if you're wondering where to get the best K-dog and experience overall, it's here. Most importantly, aside from their instagrammability, these corn dogs are damn good. Compared to others I've tried, nothing else compares as far as the taste. The batter is slightly sweet, perfectly crunchy, and the combinations of hot dog and/or cheese (I recommend both!) is just unmatched. The breading holds up against their delicious sauces (tons of options: spicy mayo, signature Astro sauce, honey mustard, ranch, the list goes on!) and maintains its crunch. Also a perfect breading to filling ratio! So far, the Asteroid dog has been my favorite. Covered in crunchy potato pieces, this one is a knockout, especially with the Astro sauce! I also really liked the Neptune which has a cool ranch Doritos topping, and I added ranch to mine! You really can't go wrong. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is modern and vivacious. I think the prices are totally reasonable for the portion size and quality, especially considering this is a food truck. I find a lot of food trucks are pretty darn pricy, but Astros is reasonable enough that you can get 2 dogs and a drink without crossing the $20 threshold. We love to see it! The ordering system is super convenient, they text you once your order is ready so you can wait in your car. The UNCG location is in a parking lot so there's plenty of convenient space to park. Overall this is a super fun stop, but it's not just a pretty storefront! Seriously good eats. If you want to try a Korean corn dog for the first time, don't go anywhere but here. read more
Excited to finally try Astrodog Korean corn dogs today at Moshi Moshi. I've seen the food truck near UNCG but didn't know exactly r what it was. I got the Astrodog with 1/2 cheese 1/2 hotdog, ranch and Astro sauce. This had what I would describe as frenchfries on top. Honestly, I could have gone more extreme with the sauces. This was a safe pick for the first time. The people in the food truck were very nice and I loved getting a text when my order was ready. read more

I was not sure of what to expect, but figured ok, will give it a try. These are in no way your ordinary corn dogs and can't be compared. My dog was all cheese, got it fresh out of the grease, very hot. Had hot Cheetos on it, mustard, astro sauce and spicy mayo. It was de lish shush. I had left when I ate it and got full, but I wanted another. Got hubby the one with fries, he would not let me taste it. Bum. I met some great new people as well. I truly enjoyed myself. We got to try Astro Dogs at the recent Greensboro Korean Festival and I'm so happy we did!! The line was very long (for good reason) and the workers were churning out k-dogs non-stop. I like that they will text you when your order is ready. We got 1-2 of everything on the menu but my favorite is the Mercury (blue takis) and Astroid (potato chunks). Other options included the Sun (hot cheeto topped), Moon, Pluto, Mercury. Really wish I took a picture of the menu which listed the toppings/ingredients but there will be a next time! We got all of the dogs 1/2 cheese 1/2 hot dog and asked them to dress the dogs as they came or as recommended since some of them came with a condiment of choice. I LOVE that ~all~ of the K-dogs were cooked through, with a super crispy and crunchy exterior and soft fluffy interior. Sounds like the bare minimum for k-dogs but you won't believe how many undercooked or overcooked ones I had before (not at Astro dogs!) The dogs are also reasonably priced and 1 is enough to fill me up. The flavor combination they have going on the menu is amazing. read more

Who knew K Dogs were a thing? I certainly didn't, but I have to tell you, I AM A FAN!!! My hot dog, French fries, and dessert wrapped up in one?!?!?? What more could I ask for? The K Dog is truly an experience and it is inexplicably delightful! The dogs are made to order so you have a wait (there is an option to order online). The team, who is very kind and helpful, will text you when your order is ready. The time goes by quickly, but it's DEFINITELY worth it. I got the Astroid dog, which is a dog covered in French fries. You have the option to get full cheese, 50/50 (half cheese, half dog), or full dog. Once completed, you have the option to add condiments to your dog. I opted for the 50/50 with Astro sauce and sweet chili. The first half of the experience is oooey, gooey, goodness . Can I tell you that the cheese pull on this thing is out of this world!!!!! The second half of the experience was the sausage dog. Did I get a slight kick? I think there was a hint of spicy there, but don't quote me. I was so overtaken by the goodness that I was all over the place. I wanted to wolf it down and savor the moment all at one time!! The coating on the dog had a sweetness to it that literally satisfied my sweet tooth. Sounds crazy, huh? I know, but you have to try it for yourself. I am pretty sure you will be a fan as well. I was very fortunate to attend a Yelp Elite event showcasing Astro Dogs and celebrating AAPI month! Astro Dogs is a new food truck in Greensboro, NC serving Korean style corndogs. K dogs are a popular street food in South Korea prepared by battering a hot dig and deep frying. The K dogs are Astro Dogs come as either whole sausage, whole cheese, or half and half (top half cheese, bottom half sausage) with a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. The line was long, but every dog is made to order and Astro Dogs kept up the pace! The truck is beautifully decorated, there was music playing, and the weather was perfect for waiting. I ordered a half and half Asteroid for myself because it's rolled in fries and a full sausage Pluto for my daughter. They take down your number so they can text when your order is ready, which I love because I'm hard of hearing and easily distracted. When we picked up our dogs, they asked what sauces we liked and suggested Astro sauce and spicy mayo for the Asteroid. I kept the Pluto plain for the toddler, but it comes with an optional dusting of sugar for that sweet and savory goodness. You can tell from the pictures that these dogs are huge! I thought that eating them was going to be hard, but the sticks used are super sturdy and the batter holds everything together really well. The K dogs are both crunchy and fluffy, perfectly fried. They were absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend heading out to Astro Dogs and seeing what they are about, you will not be disappointed! read more

This food truck stays in the same place in Greensboro. Wish we had one in Winston! It is definitely worth the trip. Located in a private ample parking lot, they have some chairs for you to wait or you can wait in your car. Staff is very friendly and even though it's a small menu, it's hard to make up your mind. They all look delicious. These corn dogs are truly astronomical and out of this world. We got the Asteroid with half cheese and potato sticks and the Neptune with cool ranch Doritos. Both were amazing and packed with crunchy flavors. You can get them with a full hot dog, full cheese, or half & half. Drinks available are bottle Jarritos. They also have some cool desserts, we tried the Starry Strawberries, which had marshmallow and whipped cream and hit the sweet tooth. Only reason I did not give it five stars is because they never sent me a text and it took 40 minutes to get our food which was ready, but was cold by that time yet it was still great. read more

It is hard finding korean corn dogs in the Triad and I finally found one! Astro Dogs I believe is a newly developed food truck hopping on the Korean Corn Dog trend and they did NOT disappoint! When we searched the address , we actually found their truck 2 minutes before the ACTUAL destination which was odd but at least they were there! Opened Thursday-Sunday , this food truck has amazing combinations to suit your needs! I got the Astroid Belt with is a corn dog with french fries all over it. Put whatever sauce you'd like on it , with or without sugar! We got a total of 6 KDogs but how about you just go down and check it out yourself! I cannot WAIT to go back! P.S. I came here for a yes, to elite experience! This is my first time at this food truck and I will be back. The service was great. The people running the truck were friendly and helpful because I had questions. You can have a beef dog, a dog filled with just cheese, or a vegetarian option. I chose Mercury (the one with blue Takis + Astro sauce). My taste buds were happy and yours will be too. I highly recommend this food truck. read more

Very good food. I had the asteroid dog which is covered in fries, so the crunch is great. I want with the half and half. Which is half sausage/half mozzarella. I'm a cheese fanatic. My only suggestion would be to have the sausage and cheese more balanced. When you first bite into it , you have all cheese. Which is delicious.. but the sausage was all The way at the bottom. I would definitely go back and probably get something more adventurous. I played it safe this time . But the food is great. read more

This is an amazing food truck. The service was great. They texted us when our food was ready. There are so many items to choose from. We had Pluto with Valentina and Astro dog with Astro sauce. We split a pineapple Jarritos. read more

I really wanted to love this place but it was just ok.... The presentation was 10/10 but the taste was just lacking and it's around 10$ per corn dog we drove from Winston to try I don't think we will be back unfortunately read more

Three words: BEST DARN DOGS! I had never tried a Korean style corn dog until tonight and I can say that it won't be my last. The options they have to choose from made it hard for my decision as everything sounded amazing! I ended up with a Asteroid and a Moon, which were incredible. The staff on this truck are extremely kind and welcoming, as well as helpful in answering any questions you may have about the dogs. I WILL be returning in the near future! read more
