The owner came out to chat with me, and I expressed gratitude for their service. My hot dog was good, the chili had a nice flavor, and the bun stayed intact until the last bite. One thing you definitely cannot argue with is the price, especially on a Monday and Wednesday, where they feature all hot dogs for $1.25. A sum that is safe to say, ultra-rare, in this day and age. Going along with that, this place is pretty humble, as you might expect. Could use a little TLC, but of course that also comes with costs. Ultimately, if your hot dog slaps, you could just be serving off a plastic folding table for all I care. I ordered two Aggie dogs, side of onion rings, large half sweet half unsweet tea. One of the foibles of this place is that it is very hard to hear the person on the other end of the drive-thru speaker. But he eventually repeated back to me my correct order. Drove around and paid, then pulled up to the window where they give you your food. I'm not sure what went wrong here, but even though I was the only person there, I got someone else's order. Didn't realize that until I drove away, but luckily, I didn't go far. Realized it when I put my straw in and took a sip of Coke, not tea. Kind of wish I had kept the Coke. I did not enjoy the tea. I could have downed 4 of these easy, and maybe next time I will at that price and forego any sides. The onion rings were actually nice though, very crispy, tasty. I snagged a spot around back. Tons of regulars and they're known by name, which tells me I'm right at home. I ordered the Double Bacon What-A-Burger and fries. YUM! The burger is really big! And you get a good amount of (crinkle cut!!) fries in a small. Both were about $9.50. They cook to order and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The toppings were fresh, and the burger was well seasoned. It's what you'd expect plus so much more from a local, small joint such as this. They also have Coke products which is a plus for me!
