It's been a while since I've been to this location and I couldn't decided on what I wanted for lunch. The last time I came wasn't so great so I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was great, order was correct! There was one car in front of me but afterwards it was busy. I was amazed that the food was hot! Even the burger patties were bigger than the bun, it wasn't dry and the tomatoes and lettuce even taste fresh! The cashier was very pleasant and very polite! A lack of competence and professionalism is generally expected when attending a cookout, somehow tonight, I was astounded by their avoidance to reasonable customer service. After ordering Three milkshakes, and receiving two back, i respectfully stopped and requested for an order change. The third milkshake was stricken from the receipt, so i paid for a new one. upon recieving the third milkshake, i was alerted that one of the two original milkshakes was made wrong. I ordered an "Oreo mint" milkshake, which is usually green, and a regular Oreo milkshake which is white. Both of the milkshakes were white.... In my confusion, I requested that the milkshake be made properly. Instead of problem solving like a normal adult, the cashier requested a manager come speak with me. After explaining the situation and showing him the milkshake, he proceeded to comment that "Thats green, and I know It's not just the lighting making it green." silly me: i should've known?! Except, there were two other people in the vehicle with me who could attest to the fact that said milkshake, was not in fact "green" and was not in fact "mint" My night was absurd, and through my anger i managed to embarrass myself less than the cookout community in that instant. Do not come to this Cook Out location unless you want to argue with the manager about a mistake that his employees made. Tonight we ordered three milkshakes, and then we only got two. And one of the two that we received was not the correct flavor. When we told the lady at the window, she immediately ran to get a manager who instead of trying to solve their error, he chose to argue with us very aggressively. He said that "the light" made the milkshake look like a different color, but I literally tasted the milkshake and knew that is was not mint Oreo, and it was white. We had to pay extra to get an actual mint milkshake, in which the manager stated that he put "extra mint" in it. It just looked like a normal mint milkshake, proving that he was wrong. I will attach a picture of the Oreo milkshake and the mint oreo as proof. He returned after we received our new milkshake to argue with us more about their incompetent work and we drove off to avoid further verbal attack. Unbelievable RUDE and unprofessional! "Tia" that works the drive- thru window must really hate her job and people! We placed our order, and she was rude from the beginning. She kept cutting me off. We ordered sweet tea and received unsweetened tea. We returned and at the speaker I started telling her what was wrong, and she again cut me off rudely saying just pull up. I told her we did not receive any ketchup as well. She just closed the window without saying a word. She was shouting at another employee and then opened the window and THREW, not handing me a bag with a few mustard packets in it. She left the window open and walked away so I said excuse me, what about out three sweet teas. She very rudely said "just wait a minute my God..." I had an okay experience at this Cook Out today. The food was acceptable and pretty cheap. We went to the walk-up window instead of the drive-thru today. They had a sanitation grade of 96.0 posted on the window. I ordered a char grilled chicken sandwich- barbecue style. My wife ordered a barbecue sandwich tray with fries and onion rings. When we got to the car we had two chicken sandwiches. We decided to just keep the messed up order and eat it to save time. The food tasted okay. This location has outside seating. There's a row of picnic tables beside the parking lot. There's no inside seating. read more

Cookout is a great spot for fresh food on the go! I love to mix and match their cookout tray, where you choose two delicious sides and a drink, you dive a few feet to the pick up window where your food has out fresh and hot! The cheese fries and the seasoned fries are both great and the shakes are so thick and creamy you can't even get it through the straw! I'm not a fan of fast food BUT Cookout is the exception. We make at least one stop here ever time we come to North Carolina. I pretty much always get the same thing; Bug Double with cheese and a Banana Shake. The burgers have that grilled flavor that makes them taste so good. I think they use shredded cheese but it's melted perfectly on the burger. Their shakes are fantastic. I usually get banana fudge or banana. They are super thick and have chunks of banana in it. Keep in mind when coming here that they only have outdoor seating with their walk up counter along with two drive through lanes. Love this place for a good quick burger. read more

Came here tonight. I was the only one in the drive through. I waited forever at the speaker. After about 8 min, someone pulled up at the other speaker and they took their order immediately. I'm still sitting there with no greeting or notion that I exist. I finally just pull around and go to the other speaker, and I finally get my order taken. I come to this cookout very frequently and I order the same stuff every time. However, tonight I apparently said the wrong thing and when I try to get it corrected the unprofessional manager just argues and tries to gaslight me into believing that I was just making it all up. I keep trying to tell this man this and he is interrupting me and just flat out rude. The young girl at the window rang me up for the plate. So I got charged for a plate and two extra sides. I went to cookout thinking I can get something small that really isn't hard to make. I ordered a big double tray with cheese on the burger only. A plain sandwich. For my sides I asked for a double order of cheddar cheese bites. My drink: a cheerwine float. My boyfriend asked for an Oreo shake. The guy taking our order spoke way too fast repeating our order. So we pull up to pay and we only get his shake, my burger, a side of French fries and a chicken wrap. I told the guy, "that's not what we ordered. It's supposed to be cheese bites." "Pull forward and make you order at the walk up," he says while rolling his eyes. I get that working in food is stressful and hard but when someone tells you "hey there's a mix up here" and you ignore it? Not ok. To be honest, it is as good as any fast food in concord, which is a nice way saying the experience is absolute dog $%!+, be prepared to spend 30+ minutes in line, expect your food to be barely warm, expect them to skimp on what you ordered and you won't be disappointed. this is literally the shittiest cook out i've ever been to. all of the employees were screaming at each other with the window open while i was waiting in the drive thru, so of course my order was wrong when i checked the bag. the girl at the window gave me an attitude for asking for my change ("it's literally only 3 cents") and for checking the bag (i was taking too long). once i got home i noticed that all of the onion rings were clumped together in the fryer because no one had shaken them around so the batter was completely uncooked in the middle we got cookout style hot dogs and the buns were so soggy i couldn't even hold it to eat them (tasted like they had been left sitting with the chili and slaw for hours). no condiments or cheese on the burger (yes i specifically asked for them). i don't really have high expectations for cook out but this was awful read more
