The food is delicious and you can't beat the prices either. Our family of 3, all adults, can eat there for under $20! My favorite is the BBQ...HOWEVER, instead of dumping the Texas Pete on it, can I suggest that you ASAP the customer if they want it mild (my preference) OR with heat at the time of the order? Only for people who know nothing about barbecue because this is as bad as it gets. If there were 8 BBQ restaurants in town, this would rank 8th. If there were 12, this would rank 12th. They don't even know the difference between chopped BBQ (the best, and they claim to serve that) and minced BBG, the very ordinary way they actually serve. They are open late at night when all the better places are closed, for what that's worth. The atmosphere reminded me of ... Baltimore. I saw on the bulletin board tonight that the manager is holding a MANDATORY 7 AM meeting in the morning for all staff including those who close up at night. I hope the employees realize they are legally supposed to be paid for any time they are required to be there, such as for that meeting. read more

The double burger tray was great. I also recommend the blueberry cheesecake shake with it also. My first complaint is that they only give you 3 onion rings if you get them unless you get them as both your sides. Also the chicken they use for the wraps are way to hard and they are best eaten when you let them sit out so they get soft. They also need better options for hot sauce as they only have Texas Pete which isn't a hot sauce. This place is packed, and it's hard to find parking. The drive thru line also wraps around the lot. I was told the cook out tray was ALOT of food. My expectations were too high, as I was disappointed by the portions for the sides. However, it wha super cheap for the amount of food, kinda like eating every item off the dollar menu at other fast food joints. I ordered the cheeseburger, fries, chicken nuggets and coke float. The burger tasted charbroiled and was good quality for the price. The chicken nuggets were meh, tasted like the spongy 'meat' product you'd find in a grade school cafeteria. Fries were good but portions were tiny. Coke float was delicious! Next time I'll order the tray and 'double up' on the fries. Atmosphere was fast food restaurant with loud annoying pop music. I wish they had some type of outdoor seating...may be better as drive thru food. Good place to go if you are hungry for meat with a side of a meat and are on a budget. read more

eh, I thought I would get a burger somewhat approximating the standard of Five Guys but the burger aesthetic is closer to that of burger king or mcdonald's. and the portions of the sides are small -- that's why it's so cheap. they don't have grilled mushrooms or jalopeno's as toppings. the one saving grace is their milkshakes -- it's a large(!) cup packed with ice cream and really worth the extra $1. This is were you go like once in a blue moon. Because any more often than that I'd want to question my sanity. This is where you go when you need a really big and really cheap cheat meal, or drunk, which is the only 2 reasons to get me to go here (or with friends). It's the most eclectic mix of American fast food, but it works. Cheeseburgers ROCK here, esp with the bacon onions and cheese addition. I love their pulled pork sandwiches too, the cole slaw on them helps beat out the Texas Pete sauce that makes it spicy. Hushpuppies are yummy here, surprisingly one of the only places to carry corn dogs, anddd quesadilla is quite delish. Only thing is their milkshake is more akin to a blizzard, it's not drinkable by a straw, and it's basically soft serve quickly blended with whatever toppings you want, Definitely more of a thicker ice cream dessert than smoothie. Good tasting food for the price! Love their milkshakes too. I no longer live in Charlottesville, but I love getting to grab a bite to eat here when visiting family & friends. Staff is always nice and the inside is clean. I only wish they'd change their packaging or something for their trays, since my food is so hot that most times it literally melts the Styrofoam. read more

Pretty good fast food. Spicy chicken sandwich was better than BK or McD but not as good as Wendy's. Fries were nothing special. I did like the bacon wrap. The bacon cheddar hotdog was a decadent late night kind of snack. The shakes were very thick and well worth the $2.50 it costs. read more

Wonderful! So much tastier than your run-of-the-mill fast food joint like McDonalds or Burger King. The food tastes so fresh and you can get a ton of food for just a few bucks. I LOVE the Bacon Ranch Wrap. The bacon here is spectacular--probably the best I've ever had. What a great deal for 99 cents. Lines are sometimes long but go very quickly. Great food, love the BBQ sandwich. Check your order though, twice after going through the drive thru our orders were wrong. Actually, the order was right but we got the wrong items. Customer service seemed to believe we should have looked through everything, including trying the shakes, before we left. Dont think my friends would appreciate me trying their shakes I'm picking up! Several cuts above McDonald's, and the prices can't be beat. Remember what you paid for lunch 10 years ago? That's what you'll pay here. I have had very late night drive-though here several times. The last two times the burgers were horribly dry to the point of making me feel like I was eating something besides meat. I understand pre-cooking things at restaurants because you want to give quick service but when your food quality is unacceptable because of it something needs to change. I would rather wait 10 minutes for a fresh burger than recieve one in one minute that I would feel guilty even feeding to a dog. The chicken wraps..weird. Breaded chicken tenders in a flour tortilla. They don't taste bad...just seems conceptually odd to me. I tried the chicken quesedilla's...2 flour tortilla's with little cheese, some ok seasoning and pitifully little chicken. The milkshakes are really the only redeemable aspect of this business. The have a lot of flavours and are thick and tasty and will be the ONLY reason I go there again. read more
