This Taco Bell offers a 10% off UVA Student Discount -- whaaaaat?? How cool is that? I just wish they would expand it to an Any Student Discount because as a Johns Hopkins student, I don't receive the same discount as my partner who is enrolled at UVA. While their customer service may need some work (they leave the front counter unmanned quite often, which may mean they are just short staffed), this Taco Bell has still become a staple in our household given its excellent location by John Paul Jones Arena and on the way back from The Corner. read more

They forgot to put items in my drive through order. I went in to get a fork and napkins to over hear the entire staff making fun of me for being transgender ‍. They all proceeded to run to the back as I was noticed standing at the front counter listening to them. read more

All I ordered was a taco box. 6 soft, 6 crunchy. Got all crunchy with two missing. Asked for hot sauce & got none so had to ask for some at the window & only got 4. Called and told them about the mistakes and a woman on the phone got upset & defensive. Trust me.. don't go here. I'm not even from around the area but made a review because it's that bad. Taco Bell - a yummy crunch wrap - Fast Food Near Me - Charlottesville, Virginia

This place is a disgrace to the Taco Bell franchise. We didn't want to use the kiosk, one of the menu TV screens wasn't working. I have no idea what menu items I was missing. After more than 5 minutes an employee came and took our order. After 15 minutes we approached the counter to inquire where our food was. It took several minutes for someone to finally find our unfilled order. Orders taken after us were filled. There were three males back in the kitchen doing nothing at all. A female who located our order finally filled it 20 minutes after we paid. This place is a disaster. It seems that the employees are more interested in socializing than serving customers. Not that they care, but will NOT be back. This is slow food not fast food. read more

This taco bell location has a long line after UVA games or at nighttime so be careful. Also I believe that they shut down early unannounced sometimes but I could be wrong. I could've sworn they've closed at midnight or even earlier when I've driven by before. Just be wary! read more

Taco Bell has been a staple of mine since I worked there in 1983. Remember the Enchirito? This location has got to be THE most disappointing Taco Bell I have ever been to. I have driven across the country - twice! And have been to many Taco Bells. Now I realize that everyone has a bad day where everything goes wrong. I have been there. But this is just SAD. I went - had bad experience. Ok. Went again (because of the whole bad day thing). Second time was the same as the first and it was at least 4 months later. I went 2 months after that, WTF? I ordered Taco Supremes (both kinds of shell) a couple burritos. SAD, SAD, SAD. I opened the shell or tortilla to add some hot sauce and the tacos were half full. Every time. It did not matter if it was beef, chicken, shrimp - whatever. I went to the location near or at Pantops and they were right on point. One visit. This is management. Somebody somewhere ain't payin" attention to what the employees are doing and how they are doing it. This happens once - ok fine. Three times? Over the course of 6 months? Naaa.. read more

This place totally depends on who is working behind the counter at the time you show up. Sometimes the staff is great, but others they are extremely rude, and it seems like every other time I go there they mess up my order, often missing one or two things or getting the entire order wrong. Today, I went to the store to pick up a mobile order and they told me I had to go through the drive through. All I needed to do was pick up the bag, but the garbage truck was blocking the drive-through lane. Even when I explained the situation, they still insisted that the inside of the store was closed and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes(!) for the truck to move before I could go through the drive-through to pick it up. I get that they don't have any control over the garbage trucks, but not allowing me to just pick up my order was extremely rude and a waste of my time and theirs. I understand that from time to time everyone has a bad day, but this has happened numerous times over the course of at least a year and doesn't show any signs of improving. I will not be back. read more

I showed up at the drive in at 11:45pm and was refused service. Lazy, rude, 300lb white man working the closing shift the night of July 30th really needs to be fired (I'm talking to you now, owner/manager). That crap don't fly in the service industry. They could of made my order 10 times over between when I ordered and when they closed. Its fast food for crying out loud. I left a bar at 11:30 to go get Taco Bell and got turned away. Night time munchies are the entire business model of that place. Unacceptable. I work in a kitchen that closes at 1am and I've never not filled a 12:59 ticket. Shameful. But you know what NOT shameful? The amazing authentic Mexican food at super affordable prices you can get right down the street at El Puerto! read more

Dear Taco Bell on the outskirts of Barracks, I know I've long since moved on from your cheesy gordita crunches, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, chalupas, and gorditas. Up here in Boston, it was so easy to stray to Anna's, Felipe's (and eventually Boca Grande). But two years of chomping will not go forgotten. I will forever appreciate how you turned your eyes from excessive hot sauce consumption by me, Mel, Kat, Brie, Tara, and Swati, even when we took almost all of the orange packets. I also appreciate how you never batted an eyelash at requests for "more burning" when we forgot the words for "hot sauce" in the drive-thru. Maybe I'll check out your sister to the north (in Central Square next to the KFC). XOXO, KQB P.S. See you on Sunday when AQB graduates from "the University" down the street? read more

Breakfast only: Waffle taco: 2 stars... Waffle a little soggy but the stars for originality. Needs syrup or otherwise bland. AM crunch wrap: 3 stars... Better than the tacos but owe that to the jalapeño-cumin sauce they also use for the quesadillas. If getting a quick breakfast the steak am crunch wrap is what you should get. Cinnabon bites: 4 stars... These were actually a delicious little treat, tender doughy cinnamon bites with warm icing on the inside--should serve these all day as a dessert item. read more

First of all, your service this morning was better than any other fast food place I have ever been to and that is no exaggeration. I pulled up asking at 10:26AM if there was still breakfast, where the gentleman informed me that unfortunately there is no breakfast at this time, but it should be back soon and apologized. We also cracked some jokes and literally wound up laughing in the drive-through. It was clear that the female employee inside enjoying her break heard us too because she wound up laughing and looking through the window at me too. I pull up and the cashier (Charles C) asked me if I would like a drink on them since they did not have breakfast. I get my food and he informs me that they accidentally made two burritos instead of one, so now I am fed literally for the rest of the day or more. He made sure that I also had tons of hot sauce since the other Taco Bell in town (over at 5th Street) always forgets even though I ask multiple times. It was seriously the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a drive-thru. PLEASE GIVE CHARLES C PROPS. I do not know him and just came out of a difficult doctors appointment. Charles and the staff at this Taco Bell just made my morning. Thank you. read more

I don't understand how this Taco Bell is consistently this bad. I created an account on yelp just to write this review. My experiences here are occasionally average, but I now refuse to order inside because it takes so long. The cashiers zone out mid-order and have to ask a few times what the order was. With one person getting their food before me, I once waited 45 minutes for food. For Taco Bell.... The orders are generally faster through the drive through but I've never been to an establishment where I've felt more like a burden to the employees than I feel here. They seem frustrated they have to take orders and make food... I just tried to ask for an item off my ticket, they duplicated it and cut me off while ordering, telling me to pull around. They forgot the drinks and screwed up almost all of the special ordered items. If you have low standards for Taco Bell, enjoy this one on Emmett street, but I'd like to be greeted with an enthusiasm similar to my own when I show up at the fast food place where I used to be convinced dreams come true. Ps. Don't expect them to be open any time near 2am. They like to get home early read more

Out of an order of six items, one item came out correctly. I had to ask that my order be remade and then I get a refund, because they were only prepared to do one of those two things for me. After driving all the way back there to get the order right, I expected more. They did eventually give me a refund and my food, which is why this is two stars instead of only one. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I'm not one to review fast food places or anywhere of that matter but this location is horrible when it comes to customer service. My boyfriend and I were in the drive thru, to start the woman was rude when taking our order to start with. When we pulled up they women had asked what sauce we had asked for I said "oh yea mild please" and she turned around and started mocking me right in front of me? I understand working in the service industry, I'm a hair stylist in c'ville so trust me I know how people can be but I do try my best to be as nice as possible when it comes to the service industry. She was this tall blonde women with a trashy tattoo on her arm and the other women with short curly hair joined in together to mock me for asking for mild sauce when they are the ones that forgot. Don't get me wrong them forgetting doesn't bother me and happens, I'll happily repeat my order if need be but to mock me afterwards was just rude.Cheesy Gordita Crunch read more

The customer service at this specific Taco Bell is the absolute worst I have ever encountered. The employees show no desire to attend to the customers and are frankly a bit rude. As someone who works in customer service, I can say that I would not be proud to represent this restaurant at the state it's in right now. read more

I love taco bell but everytime I come to this specific location there's an issue. One time, they got my order wrong. Another time, I was ordering and the woman was rude to me and was not very helpful. I was trying to order the cheesy potatoes and did not realize there was multiple options and the item was not on the screens. She got so mad that she was raising her voice and rolling her eyes. I am just a teenager. This is not okay. The only reason I would still go here is because of the Uva discount and the fact that it's Taco Bell. I would not recommend. Do better. read more

Amazing customer service. Great food. Very quick, convenient, and satiating. Highly recommend for anyone in the cville area.

Horrible service. Horrible attitudes. Plan on waiting half an hour for an incorrect order.

As a huge fan of Taco Bell, this is the worst Taco Bell in the country. They do not follow their hours and close whenever they feel like it. Worse, when they are open they take 30 minutes to place the simplest of orders. read more

This is probably the worst Taco Bell I have ever been to and I have been to A LOT of Taco Bell's. I have never even written a review on any restaurant because I'm 19 years old and don't really care- but this Taco Bell must be condemned. This is the most consistently SLOW fast food place. I have worked in the food service/ restaurant industry for years now and I know from experience the speed of service is mostly correlated with how well the management performs-with that said, this is directed to owner/management: I don't care what you have to do: hire more people, provide the necessary training, buy more ingredients or maybe sell your restaurant to better managers. But please, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to get a Taco for crying out loud. read more

I visited this Taco Bell location the other day as it was the closest one to my work. I drove through the drive through. There was only one car in front of me. I placed my order, but could barely hear the person on the other end of the speaker. This location is in desperate need of repairs. Be careful, there is such thing as inspectors. Suffice it to say the ordeal took about 20 minutes. Let me tell you, I am sick to my stomach. Not because of the food mind you, because I did not eat it except for the NACHO Fries, but for the fact that they wasted my lunch hour and charged me for something I did not order! I asked for something so simple. NACHO Fries. (I also ordered a crunch wrap supreme, which ended up falling apart, it had no cheese in it, the paper bag it came in had a hole in it. Sad, just sad. I did not eat that either.) When I got to the window the girl gave me a bag with fries that had meat sauce, cheese and sour cream on them, it looked like some crazy concoction. I explained to the girl at the window that, that was not what I had ordered. She told me she could not take it back. She called the Manager to help her count the money and figure it all out, but the Manager did not even address me, or my complaint. I gave them a $50 bill, the food should have come to $4.88, and they gave me back $43 and some change. I was told to drive on the other side of the building away from the drive through, and that they would bring me the NACHO Fries out. I did not eat the NACHO Fries concoction, so that went to waste as well. No one likes soggy fries. I also wasted my lunch break. I normally do not write reviews. They are a huge waste of time because there is bad customer all over C-Ville but I found myself compelled to write a review this time. Maybe I will continue to do so, seeing how amazing customer service has fallen off of the face of the earth. read more
