I can't believe I haven't stopped by before. Ordered a big order to go and the food didn't disappoint. It was fresh, tasty and good portions. Highly recommend if you're in the Stonefield Area. read more

Shopping im charlottesville and trader joes and this was close by. We ordered the special of the day - american tacos - and nachos. Nachos were a bit spicy but tasty. The tacos were gobbled up quickly. They have margaritas and beer if you want as well. I can easily see going back when i go back to shop in town! read more

YUMMMM!! I love torchys and think their food is really solid for Tex Mex. There are certainly great options in town for authentic tacos and Mexican food but torchys hits the Tex Mex itch when you want it I am a fan of just their regular pork taco with onions cilantro white cheese and verde salsa. Can't be beat! Although I will say I think the tacos are a bit pricey running between $6-8 a piece. The burritos are the bomb. I usually get pork, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and think they are totally delicious. The breakfast burrito they offer is also awesome and is one of our favorites. Overall, the food here is totally solid for Americanized Mexican food. If you like chipotle I would say give this a try! read more

Wow. We ordered takeout tonight since it was close by, and the pickup shelf was empty, and we asked the staff about our order and were told it was on the back counter. We had to wait 5 minutes for it. A total disappointment overall. The prices are way too high for the very small portions. The food was salty, and they messed up our order and gave us a burrito in a Tortilla when we ordered a bowl. The queso was a broccoli cheddar soup. We don't understand the hype and will not be returning! read more

I doordashed it and was shocked by the quality of food, even after being driven around the world! The taco was a little soggy and still the best taco I've ever had in my life, so I can only imagine how good it would be in the store. Cheese dip was amazing but WAYYY too spicy for my terrible pallet; will def get it without the Diablo sauce next time. read more

This is one of my wife's favorites. They have a lot of options which makes each time different. Good tacos, not the best but worth going for sure. read more

I never leave reviews, but this place deserves a shout out!! NICEST group of employees I EVER seen in one place!! First met the woman behind the counter... ( 5/28/26) ... she was lovely! So patient and sweet. Then the bartender!! Funny, on it, and so friendly! The guy restocking napkins... the food runners... all great!! The food and drinks were delicious! I lost my ID that evening and called the next day to see if it was there, and the woman who answered the phone was amazing!! then she put the manager on the line who took my information and she was another incredibly friendly thoughtful person! I'm just blown away by this place! I will go there again and again!! thank you for making our night so much fun! read more

Good for a chain restaurant. This location great customer service. My daughter especially enjoys the food. Good pricing.

I stopped in with a couple others for a late afternoon snack. Ordering at the counter kiosk was easy. Our food was brought out when ready. I had the Brushfire-Jamaican jerk chicken, mango, sour cream, cilantro on a flour tortilla with a side of Diablo sauce. One of the others ordered the green chile pork as a bowl and the other ordered the crossroads as a bowl. Everyone really enjoyed their choice! My taco had a very generous amount of chicken. The Diablo sauce was spicy and a great add-on. Definitely lived up to the three torches! Atmosphere is very casual. Service was super nice and even gave us a few bags of complimentary tortilla chips. I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area. read more

Very good! Went in Texas and was excited to have one in Virginia! Food is great. If it says it is! You can request that they leave off the spicy stuff and sauce. Very nice people working here. read more

Happy Cinco de Mayo! A buddy of mine in from Brussels really missed tacos and Torchy's in Charlottesville served as the de facto taco place for this meetup. The chips were salted and the salsa was ever so subtly spicy. I ordered a Torchy's Paloma. This drink uses Exotico's habanero infused 100% pure agave tequila and some grapefruit juice was mixed to make a solid CdM libation. Very tasty. The Taco of the Month here was the Tokyo Drifter. The TD has teriyaki glazed pulled pork and topped with a fresh and tangy sweet & sour veggie slaw and cilantro on a flour tortilla. It was a meh...the pulled pork wasn't that tender on this particular visit. I also tried the Mr. Orange, the salmon wasn't as blackened as I've had once upon a time. Also it may have been slightly overdone. but the black bean and grilled corn relish was piled on along with the corika cheese. It was also not as good as I've had. Finally, I tried the Cross Roads taco. This is Torchy's Texas brisket taco. It has onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and avocado, dizzled with tomatillo sauce. It has the potential, but the dry brisket lacks the punch. There's a lot of flavor that the tacos at Torchy's tries out...so work out well, others less so. The service was good. Our orders came to us well before the buzzers went off. The tables were bussed as we finished our meals so we didn't have to struggle with empty baskets. I always enjoy their unique aguas frescas, like their strawberry hibiscus, limonada, and mango...yes, they have soad if you want, too. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. On a mild night like to ight outdoor seating was refreshing. read more

Fabulous staff; special shout out to manager Anna, who makes returning customers feel like family. Best queso I've ever had. Frozen margarita to die for. Every taco, burrito, and quesadilla I've tried has been yummy. Highly recommend! read more

FOOD We ordered online for pickup, and it was seamless to grab-and-go from the shelves in the back. Chicken Fajita: The best that we had from here. The chicken was juicy, and the veggies complemented it well. 8/10 Trailer Park: essentially a McDonald's snack wrap. Solid if that's what you're looking for but not worth the price in any capacity. 5/10 Brushfire: A solid sweet-and-savory combo. 7/10 Crossroads: A-OK. 7/10 SERVICE Both the online ordering system and pick-up was easy. AMBIANCE Ample seating is available inside the store. PARKING Ample parking spaces are available in front of the store (parking lot shared with Trader Joe's, LensCrafters, etc.). read more

Stopped for dinner after a meeting in Charlottesville, because we both felt like Mexican. This is a little different than your typical Mexican restaurant though. We had no idea what we were doing, so it took us a minute to look over the menu. The guy who took our order said the tacos were very big, so most people just order two. At least that's what both my Wife and I heard. I think what he meant, was that they are NOT very big....because they weren't. My wife had the Fo Sho and Fresh Avocado tacos, and I had the Trailer Park and the Brushfire tacos. We also order an appetizer of guacamole and chips. She was not very happy with her tacos, as they were on corn tortillas. She just didn't read that far down in the description. Mine were both on flour tortillas, and they had a good taste. They just don't put many ingredients on them. And for $6+ per taco, it's a little pricey. However, I will say, the guac & chips were very good. The guac had just a little bit of heat, and the chips were still warm when they were delivered. read more

We had a very mediocre experience and food at Torchys. The staff was super friendly, which I loved and the ordering system was easy. The food was very bland. I did not like the salsa at all and when I asked for hot sauce I got a thick Franks type sauce that was hard to spread. Would not recommend the food. read more

Poor ambiance, flavorless food. Just not good and no reason to go back. Service was inattentive even though not busy.

Wow! Torchy's blew me out of the water. I went in the other day on a Thursday, when I was having a bad day. I'd had a horrible headache and was just hoping for a cheesey cure, and was met with the friendliest service and great food. The servers are not only great, they're kind, thoughtful, and attentive. You never realize how much of a difference that can make until it happens! The food is excellent too. I'm a favorite of the breakfast tacos, which you can customize to you own specifications. The egg and cheese with onions is my favorite! And the chips and queso is a can't miss, the perfect level of spice and cheesy goodness. I can't wait to come back here for a Happy Hour and try their margaritas! I can't wait to see more from Torchys, and I want to thank everyone here for making me feel so welcome! read more

Cute little taco shop located in this shopping center. I ordered a few things to go and it seemed to take longer than I expected. They were pretty busy for a Tuesday night though. There is a bar located inside so you can order drinks to wash down your food with. The food itself was decent. Nothing special, but not bad either. It is a bit pricey though. read more

Charlottesville staple for a la carte made to order tacos. Eat in or carry out. Tad overwhelming having a big group with 80% first timers. Order off menu or (not so) secret menu. "Trashy" removes lettuce and adds queso. Gotta pay for chips/salsa. We enjoyed our food but price point was tad high considering $80 (w tip) for 5 people and majority still hungry after. Recommend 3 tacos per person. Bar bevs available. read more

I definitely see what they're trying to do. I've been to many other locations in Ohio, decided to check this one out in Virginia on our way home. They definitely have unique tacos. Good but pricy tacos! I came here late on a Saturday a few weekends ago because I was looking for a quick and tasty bite. Fast casual tacos seemed like a safe bet, and it somewhat was. I ordered 3 tacos and it ended up being about $18 for that. The tacos were large and good, but not anything spectacular. The service was on the slower side, but that just may be Charlottesville in general (I don't know though, just my experience while I was in Charlottesville)! read more

Not good at all. Too expensive for the quality and quantity of food served. Touch-screenordering is a time waster and annoying. You have to click on every dish fora description. Restaurant appeared clean and staff was very friendly. read more

Food is always good. I'd say most people would be full on two or three tacos. If you get a burrito, it's pretty filling. The avocado taco is better than their faux meat vegetarian option. It has been LOUD every time I have gotten there. Always double check you've received the right order or be prepared for an immigrations checkpoint-style interrogation to prove they forgot a taco or fountain drink cup. If you're going to the movies, spot about 30 minutes of your time to ordering, waiting for food, and dining. read more

We don't have a Torchy's back home, so I made it a point to get some breakfast tacos a couple of days ago. The kitchen seemed slammed when I arrived in the morning, so it took a while to get my pick-up order ready. The workers were friendly and checked up on me. I was anxious because I was running late. I got the food home, and everything was to our liking. The brisket breakfast taco was pretty tasty and a nice change-up from normal breakfast meats. I also got the migas. They threw super crunchy tortilla strips onto the taco. It added corn flavor and a bunch of texture. We asked for a ton of sauce, and they gave it to us. So kudos to them. read more
