I have had a bad experience at this restaurant so was a bit wary…read more It is, as it says, a buffet and there is certainly plenty to choose from - Chinese, Indian, Thai, Italian, Japanese, Noodle Bar and Grill. I decided to have bits of lots - Prawn Crackers, Spring Rolls, Prawn Toast, Pakora, Popadoms, Garlic Bread with a little spoonful of Macaroni Cheese and then Chicken Korma with Nan Bread (of course). Amazing what you can eat when you have lots of little bits of things. Friend had more of a meal with a mixture of indian food and Italian. I left room for pudd because I love the Chocolate Fountain although there are numerous choices of cakes and goodies. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did my friend. Worth a visit and a reasonable price.

The hot holding temp on many dishes was not being maintained and after our last visit, our entire party had bad diarrhea which is a sign of a failing food hygiene system at this location. The food is poor because it all tastes the same - Asian. You want Chinese? You get basmati rice and spices like tumeric which just don't belong in Chinese food. The Chinese curry tastes the same as the Indian section curry. Everything is under seasoned and there was a poor choice out for a Friday evening. The Italian section was equally awful with overcooked pizzas which lacked meat toppings and undercooked crunchy mac n cheese. Indian section had the best choice and most flavour. This was fine but we paid for a world buffet not an Indian one and the dishes we had in common were from the Indian section so I presume this is where we picked up the bacteria which caused our bum gravy. Dessert section has improved. Was happy to see carrot cake back. Overall, the world buffet was mediocre and over priced for the quality of food we had on this visit. I'll stick to the Glasgow locations in future. Shame as the warm, friendly staff in Motherwell outshine the service in every Glasgow location.

This is actually one of my favourite Chinese restaurants ever, tastes amazing. It has amazing…read morevariations of food: chips, seafood, soup, rice and noodles etc.. Best time to go in my opinion is lunch, if you go I would recommend the cream of chicken soup, It really lives up to its name it is extremely creamy and has such a strong, savoury flavour. To people who don't like strong flavoured food then I wouldn't recommend this to you maybe go for the other option like chicken noodle or have some sushi, for desert they have a large variety of cakes, jelly (jello), ice cream/ice lollies. Overall an amazing restaurant amazing for someone who loves culture! - me

It's a buffet, and the set price for the lunch I think was £9.50 for an adult if I'm not mistaken. When we got in I was overwhelmed by the absolute tackiness of the decor. Pink, sparkles, baby greens, completely overdone table covers etc. 'twas all a bit over the top and tacky. We were seated at a table by a waitress who's English wasn't particularly good, and drinks were brought over. We were then told we can go up and help ourselves. Now I thought China Buffet King in town had a small selection of food, but this was ridiculous. There was maybe about 20 dishes in total over 4 areas, and none of them were particularly better than others. Dry, tasteless food for the most part, and when it wasn't tasteless, I'd wished it was. I'd never recommend CBK to anyone, but if it's there or this place, you should probably just stick to your chain.

Ian agreed with great enthusiam. Yay! It's about less than 10 minutes away from me, so we were there in no time. Arrived no problem and we noticed they had a car park round the back. Car parked and ready for food. It was fairly busy for a Wed evening, few couples and a wee party of 6. Ordered our drinks and the waiter explained how the buffet works as we hadn't been before. We helped ourselves to the pile of poppadoms with a fab choice of different sauces. There were some really lovely flavours and poppadoms were really tasty. Our starter to share soon arrived and it was a really good mix and it was delicious flavours. I think they should add fish pakora to the mix and I think it would be perfect. Nom! As it was a buffet we headed up to the hot plate/cabinet things. It started from rice, mild curries up to spicy. I had some white rice and oooh the pilau rice. That was the most delectable pilau rice I've ever had. I piled on some chicken korma and chasni, it looked so creamy and smooth. When we returned to our table there was a big fresh warm naan bread sitting ready for us. I thought that was a really nice touch, a lovely wee surprise as I was looking for the naans. The food tastied amazing, the korma and chasni were scrumptious and the pilau rice really complimented it. For the third course of the buffet we were offfered ice cream or coffee. Ian had a coffee and I squeezed in a cheeky wee ice cream with strawberry sauce. It finished off the meal perfectly. I'm so glad I remembered here and I would certainly come back. I didn't know about all the publicity about the place and the award winning chef but after tasting the food I can see why. Yum!

The veg pakora and the chicken tikka karahi were nice however the Chicken tikka masala was a creamy slightly pink colour and had a funny floral taste. Unfortunately the pilau rice was the brown kind rather than the bright yellow saffron rice also it was overly fragrant, again like a flowery perfume, which didn't go well with the curry dishes. The garlic naan was a bit thin for some reason. The main prob though was after the meal I felt really bloated that night and next day my stomach didn't feel great, feels like fighting off something, so not sure if I would order again.
