We enjoyed Dishoom in London, so I was excited to see that they also have a location in Glasgow. The restaurant is fairly new as it opened in the summer of 2025. Reservations are recommend. The menu is quite vast and it was a challenge to narrow down what to order without going overboard.
As a beverage, I got the house chai. It was warm and comforting. Apparently, unlimited refills are provided. We started off with the chote padad (poppadoms) with mango chutney. I loved the crispy snack.
The sheekh kabab, minced lamb, was my favorite. It had great flavor and was slightly spicy. The house black daal is their signature dish that we paired with the steamed basmati rice. It was quite filling. I think I would skip this next time, so that I could try more of their smaller dishes.
We had the warm aubergine chutney for our vegetable dish. We enjoyed the mingling of the sweet and sour flavors. The masala paratha was flaky, but I felt as if we could've skipped this. It didn't stand out. Lastly, I treated myself to a creamy mango kulfi.
We managed to finish everything, but we were quite full. Overall it was great meal and I would highly recommend eating here! read more
