The shop is set back from the road and looking at the outside, it doesn't look like much and the inside is pretty basic, but you shouldn't judge a take away from it's facade . The staff are always friendly, the food is fresh and the menu is pretty much what you'd expect, but with a wide choice of take away options in the area, there's a reason that this place has lasted over the years and that's because what it lacks in glamour it makes up in other ways. I have noticed on our visit that they have started doing a few meal packages recently, which appear to be aimed at the local market and in line with other local take always, not to my tastes, but I don't like to judge. Personally it's one of our local "go to" places when we want a takeaway because it's consistent and we know that if do want a change they would be glad to make a recommendation.

There are seats around the walls inside, a tiled floor, television on the counter, everything clean and well looked after. The lady who served us two weeks ago was very pleasant and we didn't have long to wait. It's just around the corner from the main shopping street of the town and overlooking Loch Gilp, close to the children's playground.
